To celebrate Mummy and Percy's love in separation, and Michael Petherick's return to the chateau, we make a beautiful dinner table in the walled vegetable garden, with floral plates, my grandmother's vintage silver cutlery, and terracotta pots filled with edible herbs and flowers...

What a gorgeous table setting!! It brought me back to my wedding reception almost 8 years ago. My mother and I spent hours prepping and planting herbs in terra cotta pots for the tables. It was lovely and smelled delicious! And I was going for a French country picnic look! I let people take the pots of herbs home with them. To this day I still have people tell me it was one of the best wedding receptions they’ve ever attended. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and family and friends with all of us, Stephanie and Michael. It’s inspiring and soothing to my soul. I live in Minnesota near where George Floyd was murdered and where the riots started. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster these past few weeks and you have both brought light and laughter to my heart in the middle of it all. Thank you and God bless 🙏🏻❤️

Again you take a simple idea and bring it to life in an extraordinary way. Beautiful table and love the herbs in the small pots and the roses on the plates. Love the dinnerware too! Hope the dinner conversation and company lived up to the care taken! And your mom obviously instilled this in you. I'm with everyone else. Definitely use the china and honor Great Aunt Helen. There's no reason that we shouldn't use nice chine, crystal and cutlery. I go to hundreds of estate sales and garage sales every year, and it's all there for sale for pennies on the dollar (or pound/euro) as the case may be. A whole generation is growing up with the idea that red Solo cups and plates are the norm. Let's shock them!
