Join me as I enter into the final stages of build on this incredible 1/6 scale Hetzer or Jagdpanzer 38 tank by Armortek.
In this video - I show you my method of applying the 'hard edge' CAMO scheme to complete the look of the tank ahead of completing the weathering and final details.
Hope you enjoy

Hi Tony, your videos have now become a regular part of my early Saturday mornings, before anyone else is up. I was eagerly awaiting the painting session and when I saw you start the masking I initially thought, “What is the lad up to? It’s going to be horrendous!” But how wrong I was! As you stated you’ve applied ‘your’ slant on the model and I think it’s turned out to be really effective. When German tanks were issued to field units the soldiers themselves applied the camouflage with whatever tools they had available to them, whether brushes or spray guns, so almost any method of finishing will be acceptable. I think that you’ve done a really great job and I’m really looking forward to the detailing video, as well as the next biggun - the Landie! Absolutely gleaming 💥💥🎉
Hi Peter and thank you so much for such a positive comment. I really enjoyed this Camo session and it turned out better than I had hoped for. Weathering and function testing up next week and then on to my new project...'The Landie' I am buzzing about getting started on it.
Wow, this ambush pattern came really transformed your tank! Getting the decals and markings onto a semi-gloss or gloss clear varnish coat, then, when finished, protect your work by just another coat of varnish is a good advice. The factory applied markings do weather as does the tank when in action. On you cutting your masks: there are swivelling knife availed online or in craft stores, which make cutting curves way easier. You also could use rolls of BluTac to outline the camouflage scheme on the tank, than mask ans spray. Now, up to the next eagerly awaited episode!
Thank you...I have applied the decals and applied a matt varnish as you recommend and did this ahead of the weathering which will be up next week. Great tip about swivelling knife...defo on my shopping list now. Hope you enjoy the final episode of this build and then on to my Series 1 build. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thank you for your continued support.

Thanks Tony. It was a definite Wow! moment for me when you peeled off the masking tape - I hadn't visualised the effect of the 'negative' layered masking as you went along and it turned out really well. Looking forward to the weathering, of course, but also the electronics and linking and setting up your receiver & transmitter. Cheers👍
Thanks Keith. I am very pleased with how this tured out as it is the first time trying this on something so big. Weathering up next week. I cover the setting out of the electronics and functions but the actual system is very much plug and play so I don't really cover this as I have gone over this in the past. I am lucky that I have made great friends with one of the guys off the Forum and he helps with the synchronisation....way beyond my knowledge base. Hope you continue to watch and follow.
Tony: Nice camo touches and it turned out quite nice. Appreciate you letting us watch you build this Hetzer and can't wait for the next build. you show that slow and steady will get it done.
Thanks Bill. I am really pleased with the results. Slow and steady is my motto.
😊😊
Looks great! With that camo I think that the real one would have been hard to spot in the woodland
Thank you...yes especially with its low profile...deadly!
That looks cracking Tony, big camo is so easy to get lost in. Would love to see the weathering.
Thank you...that means a great deal to me...I loved doing this camo scheme...Weathering up next week.
Totally transformed wow. More content the better please. This is been a joy to watch being built👏👏
Thank you...that means a lot....Weathering and function testing up next week and then on to my Series 1. Hope you continue to watch and follow.
@@tonys_workshop certainly will be watching. 👍👍
Great job Tony, a weathering video or at least a segment during the next video on electronics would be fun to see.
Thank you...Weathering up next week along with the tidying up the electronics and then some driving.
Great paint job! Love to see the weathering!
Thank you...Weathering and function testing up next week in the final episode of this build.

Thank you for letting us be there!👍👍👍
and thank you for joining me.
Really come alive with the paint on. Waitress service from Mrs Tony as well 👍👍 , I don't get that from Mrs Steve😭😭😭😭. weathering video ist gut danke.
Thanks Steve...It is all about the training😂
Mate how good does that look!!!! What a fantastic paint job. Well done. You obviously have been a modeller for some time and I gather from some of your comments you have modelled in other scales, any chance of seeing some of your other modelling work?.
Hi Brian, good to hear from you mate. Thank you for you kind comments on the paint scheme. I am so pleased it turned out so well...I have the weathering video being released tonight and that also turned out really well...You will get to see the Hetzer driving in its final state. I have done loads of scale model building in the past. I have built several 1/12 scale dioramas (mainly Star Wars) but sold these off to help start my journey into this amazing scale. I have also previously built 1/32 scale models, but these too are now re-homed😀 I kept the train, as this was built for my grandson. You soon run out of space when building at these scales, so thinning down is essential. I will try and dig out some pics and post them on the community section.
Love the euro pattern cam 1940s style
Thanks Mark, much appreciated.
Wow, Tony, that turned out amazing
Thanks Ray...I am pleased with the results and yet another learning exercise for me completed. Sometimes I doubt whether or not I can achieve these things, but when they turn out as well as this has, I am so relieved.
Hi, Tony. It's been a few weeks since I posted a comment, but I enjoy watching it every time. Great camouflage paint. I have no experience with weathering, so I'm really looking forward to it. PS. I don't think using a hammer suits Tony.
No hammer, please, Tony!
こんにちは。またご連絡をいただけて光栄です。このビデオを楽しんでいただけてうれしいです。 Camo スキームを適用するのは本当に楽しかったし、とてもうまくいったと思います...はい...トニーにはハンマーはありません 😀 Hi and great to hear from you again. I am happy that you enjoyed this video. I really enjoyed applying the Camo scheme and I think it turned out really well...Yes...No hammer for Tony😀

Wait until you see it drive. Yes...lets get your panther ready for a good run out on the range. Speak soon mate and have a great weekend.
Hi Tony, what spray can colors and brand. Also where are you getting the decals, as I need some for my Armortek Jagdtiger.
Hi..no problem...for the brown...I used: Kings Army Rotbraun Ral 8017 Military Matt Spray Paint 400ml Military Vehicle Paint. For the Green I used: Kings Army Olive Green Ral 6003 Military Matt Spray Paint 400ml and the yellow I used: 400ml Military Style SPRAY PAINT (Army Spray Paint - Dark Yellow (Dunkelgelb). For the decals I got these on Ebay from: Peddinghaus-Decals . Hope this helps.
Looks amazing Tony still waiting for you to take a hammer to it and give it some battle damage. 😮
Thanks Steve....Hammer been banished🤣 I just cannot bring myself to bash it up.
@@tonys_workshop a few whisky s will sort that out
😂😂
Been watching your videos for ages now. Just get my leopard 2A4 and currently building it. Do you paint your tracks. Thanks Martin.
Hi Martin...I love that kit....yes I do paint the tracks...I have covered this in this build and previous builds. See Video 16 on this build to see how I go about painting the tracks. Thank you for your continued support and hope you enjoy your build.
Top Job , looks amazing , keep content coming you are smashing it
Thank you. That is very much appreciated.
Nice job Tony 👏
Thanks Malcolm, much appreciated.
Hi Tony, it looks amazing! The balance between the colors is spot on. When you exposed the wheels and tracks, it tied it all together nicely. I would like to see the weathering process. One suggestion about the weathering. You might consider adding the decals and applying a clear topcoat prior to doing the weathering. Have a great week, Cheers!
Thanks Michael. Weathering up next week. I have done exactly that with the decals. Thank you for your continued support and hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Looking 101 dalmatians until the green went on. like the camo design.
🤣...Thank you
looks great toni. i think....leave the hammer alone.
Thank you...yes...hammer back in it's rightful place...nowhere near my Hetzer😀
good job ,thx for resumen👌👌👌👍
Thanks Daniel, much appreciated.
Paint really brings the model to life, also your camouflage technique is very effective in disguising the shape and scale of the vehicle as was intended on the original vehicles. Looks fantastic!!
thank you for such an amazing comment. I am very pleased with the way this turned out. Just completed the weathing and video up next week. Hope you continue to follow my builds.

Thank you...hope you enjoyed this video.
I think you have done well old son. When I was an Australian Army Reservist (Territorial in your case), I recall our gun crew slapping on a brew of LOCAL mud to break up the outline of our piece. It was standard Vietnam era olive drab, which was fine in heavy wooded areas but stood out like a sore thumb in a dry season Central Qld setting when everything around us was tawney brown and sere. Like it. Still looking forward to the Rover.👍👍👍👍👍
HI Chris and thank you. Wow what tank were you using? Rover coming soon.
