What to Look for When Buying Classic Prevost Bus Conversions: 1999 Liberty Classic
After finishing a number of inspections on Tiffin Allegro Buses, I was asked to inspect a 1999 Liberty Classic Prevost XL bus conversion for Sewell Motorcoach. To my surprise, I think this might be the first "Classic" Liberty and it's not an "Elegant Lady." But I think I like the Classic better just because it has rocker switches and not the multicolor push buttons of the Elegant Lady.
At any rate, this is a crazy beautiful motorcoach and I knew I needed to share what every bus should look like after 25 years of proper love and caretaking. It is very obvious to me that the many previous owners took pride in thier stewardship of this bus.
Don't forget to follow @Sewellmotorcoach for Doug's video on this 1999 Liberty Classic and to see his much better videos :)
This 1999 Liberty Classic has about 102k miles and is being sold for $199,999. Please contact Doug or his crew at the link below with any questions.

Thanks for watching!!
Your videos of the Liberty coaches still make me proud of our '94 Liberty coach, Thank you for your videos.
I use my spotlight at night to check for low hanging limbs on trees in a dark area, Excellent video. Thanks.,
I drove Prevost and MCI for 10 years in the 80s I would pay 200gs for that over any new rv that they make these days, they are built to last not built as cheap as you can get it out the door, great video!
So, I can find a 90s Prevost bus conversion like this, pay $90,000 for one that needs work, and you'd buy it for $200,000 all because of the chassis...Sweet
Will never be able to afford one, but she's definitely the one I would marry. 😁
Wait until the crash Soon!!
I love it too, lol 👍🏻.
Ya me also
I really think the conversations from yesteryear are prettier that the new ones. Of coarse my H3-45 is a 2006 so I could be bias. But the Prevost difference can not be ignored they really are built to last a lifetime if you love it properly.
we have had our 2005 Winnebago Voyage Motorhome for two summers and Yes i am on that roof at least once a year to inspect thanks to you. Last year I cleaned out and resealed the entire perimeter, also thanks to you.
Great inspection of a beautiful motorcoach. Was surprised at first at the lack of roof air but then realized of course it is a Prevost with the under bus air. Thanks James
James - great description of the entire coach. Amazing workmanship and materials in that coach.
Whooo! I hereby dub this coach "The Carousel" as it reminds me of the classic wood-carved and mirrored carousels. What a beauty. 😍😍😍
Very nice. Thank you for the tour James and Doug for the opportunity. Happy trails!
I love these buses... It's my pocket book that doesn't like them!
A lot of these features from Liberty are on our 1994 coach. They have used the same good features for years. Excellent choice.
Horns are Hadly .I have a 40 year old set. Been through vans, trucks, now my coach. Taken care of they are perfect. That search light is nice when pulling into a strange park, at night. Alone. Wonderful old coach. Will outlast you and me. That bud air mileage is nothing. That is a million mile coach
Thanks James As always really enjoy videos
James, another fantastic video of 2 beautiful coaches. Thanks for sharing
Wow! this 99 looks really sweet! Great tour!
You are such a good guy....
Thanks. Live in Phoenix. Might need your services someday. Love your channel!
Super flamboyant bus. Hell naw, mirror city. See yourself all over the place. As you look around you think to yourself; " where am i?" And you answer yourself outloud; " oh there I am!!!" on the ceiling, on the walls. I am mean seriously, the bus is a narcissist dream. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Your enthusiasm is fun to watch. Your 1001 facial expressions. And, trying not to be rude during the walk though 😁
Very beautiful coach for its age.
Beautiful coach. Makes me want to upgrade from my Beaver Marquis. Those rivets are called “Huck” not buck. 😜 Awesome video and thanks for taking the time to share.
Oh good - another bus w/o slide-outs!🥰
Nice rig. No slide outs👍
Good to see u !!🙏👍😊 !!
Beard looks good!! You need a Harley Davidson now.
Would love this no slide, shiny luxury toy 🤗. Now that’s how all rv roofs should be. Rock solid. 🍻
i like the no slides.......my dad had a attowa illinios professionally converted 1947 greyhound back in 1976. we sold it 5 months later when he passed away. last couple yeats been looing for it to buy back
Very nice video.
Very cool.
Really awesome RV.
It really is!
The spotlight is handy when arriving after dark!
Light up the whole dam campground 🤣🍻
James, with your platform, I feel you should let the folks know that these older luxury coaches may have Cruise Aires or “Basement Air.” Why is that important? Because they’re out of business and getting replacement parts is extremely difficult and getting more so every day. This should be disclosed by every seller. To buyers, you’re better off looking for a coach with roof top AC units.
James, should my attempts to win the lottery prevail, I shall buy this Prevost and gift you the chairs!
N then adopt me lol 🍻🤣
I love it !
Another great video. I imagine that bus weighs as much as a boeing 747.
I really dislike slideouts. Really seems like more of a liability and failure point than a benefit. Unless you're just parking your RV 99% of the time, in which case, buy a lot and put a house on it. They compromise structural integrity, their design incorporation hurts or destroys the utility of the entire unit while under way, and they're a complicated set of moving parts prone to failure, not to mention leaks. But it really doesn't seem like you can find modern busses without them. There seem to be a few class Cs available without them, but not many.
Beautiful bus. Much nicer than a new RV. James would you deliver the coach to Alaska, ,lol?
of course
Awesome bus conversion, only thing that scares me is almost 25 year old “rubber” gaskets etc in the engine and problems on electronics usually means replacing the entire “system” since parts usually do not exist…electronics age like milk.
These old diesel buses are junk. Problem after problem after problem. Doesn't matter how well it's been taken care of. But they're very beautiful aren't they 😍
Think would take 199998.99
Beautiful...... coach....but is that the normal sound for the window shades...lol ..seems loud ...and I'm deaf...lol....and yes ..if I had the funds or a place to store it....I would love to bring it to Niagara falls NY...lol..... another great inspection
Thanks for sharing. Like 580
I love these so much!!! But it's overkill for me.
Im jealous. Has more mirrors than my 96 Beaver.
What about the suspension, air bag system, brakes, king pins, etc.
God that thing is clean, esp the engine and generator.
Funny, some call Liberty’s interior elegant. Some call it bling bling. I’m in the camp of the latter 😊
Can you share the material that the roof and side panels are made of? For example aluminum, stainless steel or galvanized steel. From what I understand the superstructure is stainless steel. I'm not sure about the outside panels and roof.
Was there electrolosis evident Doug?
Did I just see that sell recently for around $150K on an online auction?
One could put a heck of a lot of solar on that roof but I don't know about lithium batteries. For no slides it is very roomy.
The 99 looks like a great entry coach. the 08 with the Def and particulate filter system is no bueno. Mr George.
No def fluid or particulate filter in. 08
👍🏽
My son is a professional pianist and our plan is to tour the US in a Prevost bus like this. I will let him build a little more fame then we can go shopping for those wealthy sponsors!
Time to start selling your beaver and buying the Sewell coach
Does Doug correct the items you find during your inspection?
His service department gets the list from the inspection and does address the issues yes.
Nice bus. Does it have an Aqua Hot system?
webasto heat
Thank you.@@AZExpert
I think the Cruisairs are unfixable. The last guy fixing them is out of business. Correct?
a pity no Prevost is 36ft.
101000 miles not even broken in yet Kohler generator I have one that's been working for the past 23yrs runs the RV
Sorry, James!
PORVOST PROUDLY CANADIAN !!
Look for cortisone under bus. They are bad about this. It is a high dollar repair.
REALLY LIKED IT UNTIL YOU SAID THE PRICE FOR SOMETHING THAT DAMN OLD OLD OLD OLD OLD DAVID ADAM GRENIS MAPLETON AVENUE BOULDER COLORADO USA
Small used RV dealers like this always sells RVs so stupidly high. This is maybe a $129,000 at best
