You use capital numbers at the start of calculations, and at the start of proper terms.
They could by used while using them little numbers. E.g. 9(pretend 2 is small 2) would be 9 with a lowercase number. Or, it could be used for something else.

@@brunnomenxa It’s 1:30 am, I can’t sleep, and you’ve given me something to mull over instead of trying to sleep. So that said, I’ve given this too much thought lol. The result: I don’t think the kanji are similar enough to the symbols we’re currently using. You can see the similarities between Bb, Ff, Hh, Mm, etc. but 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 share very little with 一二三四五六七八九零. I’m not saying they all have to resemble each other, as our letters don’t do that (compare Aa, Dd, Gg), but enough of the numbers should reflect their capitals that you can tell they’re part of the same idea. Plus, we run into trouble with numbers like 1,000,000, which in Japanese is represented by the characters meaning “100 one-hundred thousands” (百万). And forcing another language writing system to match our mathematical writing (like 1,000,000 written as 一零零零零零零 instead) doesn’t make much sense (not to mention using a 13-stroke character for each 0 is time consuming). All that to say: a) I think we’d have to come up with our own new characters if it was something to be added to our writing system, and b) I have put way too much serious thought to answer a concept proposed in a joke video. 😅 Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

with my native language, welsh, it uses eerily similar rules as this alphabet system. most words (with few exceptions) are written and pronounced phonetically, this means that a lot of the spelling is easier it omits similar letters- k, q, v, x, and z are all omitted from the alphabet. this means a word like “box” would be spelled like “bocs” and a word like “queue” would be spelled like “ciw”, another example is “sphere” which is spelled like “sffer” welsh has added letters in the alphabet- sounds like ch, ll, and ngh aren’t used in english (so for simplicities sake, we can forget about these) but some make it easier to spell english words! since “v” is omitted from the alphabet we use “f” to sound like “v” and “ff” to sound like the normal “f” (since one is the ‘hard’ letter and one is the ‘soft’ letter). this also happens with “th”! the letter is pronounced differently in “the” and “through” so the hard letter becomes “dd” and the soft one stays as “th”. this makes it way easier to pronounce things, even if you’ve never seen the word before!!! welsh smushes little words to create big words- i know english does this too, but definitely not to the extent that welsh does, every big word is easily understood because it’s just the little ones smushed together new combinations create similar sounds in english- for instance, there are many letter that have been omitted, but combining the letters let us make the same noises as english (an example being “ch” in english, we can’t use it cause it’s already a different letter). a “si” makes a “sh” sound, and when you put a “t” in front of it, like “tsi” you get the “ch” sound! as a reference, this is how we spell china: “tsieina” (the hard A is spelt like “ei” because it’s pronounced that way, why have letters if you’re just gonna pronounce them differently anyway????) and this, my good sir, is why i think you’ve just reinvented the welsh alphabet!!!! here is what it would look like in an english paragraph with welsh spelling: Ai went tw dde stôr tw bai swm fwd, byt dde fwd was tŵ ecspensif. Ai ascd mai brodyr tw pic yp swm teic-awt insted. it was gŵd. translation: I went to the store to pick up some food, but the food was too expensive. I asked my brother to pick up some take-out instead. it was good. (the accent put on the ŵ is to elongate or put pressure on the letter, basically the difference in “bw” and “boo!” it helps to avoid confusion between stuff like to, too, and two!!!) thank you for coming to my ted talk!!!!!
I hate how I was able to read that sentence fairly easily, only being a little stuck on "take-out"
@@ObviousToast that’s really cool!! do you think you’d be able to pronounce simple welsh words as well??? that’s so interesting lol would you know what “siop pinc” would mean?
@@idontknow-op1oe all the words are correct, but some of the order of the sentence is a little bit off, i tend to steer away from using google translate when it’s more than one word cause they tend to get the order wrong 👀👀👀 as an example (in case i’m confusing you lol) in english you’d say “the brown bread” but in welsh you’d order it like “the bread brown” when describing things.
@@miliruthven3439 Only thing I could guess out of that is "Pink" from "pinc" but I'm not sure of the other. Also, Pink, as an adjective, is usually used before a noun in the English language, so that's another hurdle to get more used to.
The most fascinating thing about the construction of the Welsh alphabet is that it was entirely dictated by the English printing presses of the sixteenth century. Welsh originally did use K instead of C (Cornish and Breton still use K) but there just weren't enough Ks in the printing presses so they were all substituted for C instead. Furthermore, Welsh also used to use multiple letters for the same sound, most notably our F could also be represented with U, V or W, and Ð was used alongside Dd. Sometimes a lowercase h was used to show fricatives too, for example there was a Welsh writer called Humphrey Llwyd in the 1500s but he spelled his surname as Lhuyd.
Well done 🦤
