Remember it wasn't just Trump working to destroy America he had a lot of enablers pushing the authoritarian agenda that need to be removed from office. And most importantly, to preserve our own democracy, never forget the 139 Republican Representatives and 8 Republican Senators voted to object to accepting the lawful vote for Joe Biden and thus provided aid and comfort to the insurrectionists that ransacked the US Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the rule of law and our great democratic republic or the cowardice of the Republican politicians who cannot bring themselves to criticize Trump's support of Putin. You know, folks like: > Tom Cotton > John Thune > Lindsay Graham > Mitch McConnell > John Cornyn > Nikki Haley who when asked on national television wouldn't/couldn't say anything against Trump's support of Putin;- - - sure demonstrated the weakness and cowardice of these Trump enablers; - - - our big talking Republican politicians afraid of being berated by Trump while we see true bravery by Ukraine's president and citizenry. Putin is a fuckin coward and tremendous dumbass. He REALLY threw away his very best, most elite units right at the outset of the "special military operation," sending them into Kyiv by air drop in the first 72 hours to be captured and killed. Imagine if the US wanted to take over Mexico so we sent all our SEALs and Green Berets and Rangers and Airborne units to Mexico City in a sort of blitzkrieg, and ALL of our special forces are captured and killed within just a few days. ALL OF THEM. That's precisely what Russia did here. He heard the "don't take your queen out too early" advice from Kasparov and was like, "that sounds like a challenge!!" Dumbassery, I tells ya. • Reminds me of what Donnie Boy did with the USA voters - he made virtually everyone his enemy and then was surprised he didn't win the 2020 election. Let's see, brag on all the white males who are kissing your ass, talk nasty about the blacks, Hispanics, LBGTQ, women.....gee, I wonder how he managed to lose that election. The only thing that surprises me at all is that he did get as many votes as he did.

I'd like it if the Douma took Putin downtown the basement and stuck one in the back of his head, exactly as it happen at the Kremlin 100 years ago. Politicians would go to the basement and never come out again. But let's get serious and get out of that dream....

  • I would say Putin’s position is similar to Napoleon’s following his retreat from (ironically) Russia, or even following Waterloo. His advisors and generals were telling Napoleon to abdicate and accept exile or he’d risk bringing absolute destruction on France. It was a choice between what was best for his pride and dreams of grandeur or what was best for France. That same choice is before Putin now since he has very few options available to him that don’t involve escalation
