Ever since the first boats were designed, people have been trying to find ways to make them travel across the water faster. The introduction of engines obviously took this to a whole new level, but there’s more to it than simply adding extra power. Boats need to be able to absorb the impacts caused by being lifted up by waves, and transfer as much of their power into forward momentum as possible… and, in many ways, it’s far more difficult to do than building a fast car or aircraft. There are, though, some companies that have been able to overcome these challenges…and they have created some incredible machines that look like nothing you've seen before. I watched a video on Ken Warby and the Spirit of Australia in 1991, This was at Blowering Dam, and it was complicated, as he kept removing material from the rudder, no wonder no one has beaten this record, It took balls of steel to do what he did, I was 20 years old in 1978. 🇦🇺

It's too dangerous to pursue speed on a boat. So many people have died so far. Probably more dangerous than going to space on a rocket.
Its safe sitting home talking about going fast. Its fun, if risky, going out and doing it. My 18 ft, 454 Kona jet boat is far from the fastest boat on the lake but sure is fun!

And can I state one small training incident? Little. Problem with these boats? Not the manufacturing not the engine well kind of any speed over 60 miles an hour even at that if something were to go wrong. You'd have better luck running into a concrete slab at 60 miles an hour then water. A life jacket won't do you much good
