  • KD's game is poetry in motion. Just an incredibly skilled player. He was only 21 at the time and already amongst the best in the world

    • Manny P in my opinion, people don’t realize he is better at basketball than LeBron because they’re so easily swayed by the media. Lebron is a very flawed player and the best coaches and teams always get the best of him. You can’t do that to Kobe or Mike, or even KD. They’re all more versatile and they understand the game more. All my opinion I guess

    • Ballin Too first of all LeBron ain’t got shit on KD’s mentality lmao. Second, LeBron is way overrated as a playmaker. Great passer, lacking in passing IQ. KD is an intelligent player and has always been a good playmaker so I don’t even know what point you’re trying to make. KD is arguably flawless as a basketball player

    • alright bruh, I deff understand the point you made about KD earlier but I gotta check you when it comes to bashing Lebron. The fact that you said Lebron "lacks in passing" is very ignorant considering he's EASILY the best passer in history thats NOT a point guard. He's been voted by GM's as the best playmaker in the game Countless of times. There's really no comparison when it comes to playmaking between Bron and KD. KD is a the better pure scorer but he's no where near the plamaker Lebron is. Period and point blank. Also, to say Lebron "aint got shit on KD's mentality " is pure stupidity and ignorance to the highest degree considering KD literally choked a 3-1 lead to the same warriors team Lebron beat and ended ultimately joined them. That right there in itself is as weak as it gets mentally for any superstar because it tells you he's afraid of the competition as opposed to beating the competition. Like I said earlier, KD is definitely an ALL time great and extremely talented but please and I mean please dont make a fool of yourself and say he's better than Lebron. You DO realize that it took KD to join not only a 73 win team but also a 2x mvp who many were regarding as the 2nd best player in the world in Steph curry not to mention 2 other allstars in Klay and Draymond just to get his first ring and beat Lebron.

  • is he the the most skilled 1 on 1 player ever? when i mean most skilled, i don't mean the best. i mean maximising his just above average at the athleticism ( especially after 2002/2003 season ) his size , height, rules and playing trends of his era and the limiting confines of the triangle and countless variables, yes he is the most skillful 1 on 1 player. footwork, fadeaways, jab steps, pull up jumpers, left and right hand etc.. yea he can't leap off the gym like mj and lbj, he is not tall like kd, he is not a cheatcode like curry. but he played at an era when more and more freaky perimeter players an emerging. who is guarding MJ ?? bryon russell? dan marjerle ? maybe better.. dumars ?? its like they are at slow motion when watching mj hightlights . and who is guarding kobe . freaks of nature. its just more pleasing to the eye to see someone pirouetting his way to score a bucket than someone who score easily using speed height size. IMO his peak season in terms of overall athleticism, playing with speed, going to the bucket and breaking down defences with ease was his 2000/2001 season. Lakers would not have a near perfect record without him destroying the kings and spurs and shaq was coasting. jerry west himself said the suns series in 2010 was the best he ever saw kobe played since 2001 playoffs people underestimate his influence on the irvings and paul georges , Derozans , westbrooks and KDs. when the nba game shift to a perimeter game, there is an influx of skillful , multi facet and athletic wing players? guess who they are watching when they are middle to high school period? when mini fro kobe was 3 peating , they are at grade school..when the mamba was scoring 81, they are at some basketball court in the neighbourhood, hoisting fade aways after fade aways.. P.S - always felt that in terms of natural talent , of course lebron and mj were superior. but one only has to look at Tmac to understand how kobe squeeze out every ounce of his potential....

    • Jerry Lin absolutely. This is what I have been saying since watching Kobe and Jordan highlights. Jordan didn’t play against anyone that could attack from the outside off the dribble. Scottie Pippen was his teammate and could do that. Penny beat Jordan in a playoff series. Isaiah Thomas had a better playoff record against Jordan head to head. Both were able to attack the bulls off the dribble. Kobe played against far superior athletes, plus Hall of Fame outside threats.

He LITERALLY perfected jordan's moves in a harder era designed to adapt to jordan's style of play that consisted of (quoting @Jerry Lin ) footwork, fadeaways, jab steps, pull up jumpers, left and right hand etc.. yea he can't leap off the gym like mj and lbj, he is not tall like kd, he is not a cheatcode like curry. but he played at an era when more and more freaky perimeter players an emerging. who is guarding MJ ?? bryon russell? dan marjerle ? maybe better.. dumars ?? its like they are at slow motion when watching mj hightlights . and who is guarding kobe . freaks of nature.

He also averaged: 32ppg,7rpg and 5.5 apg with shooting splits of 50%fg, 39% 3pt-fg,and 87% free-throw. If this man had his own team he would average 30,10 and 7.

Westbrook is a great player but he isn’t skilled. Russell is a genetic freak of nature. But for that team to win they’d need more guys who can consistently shoot the ball.
