    • And you actually believe that male chauvinists like them are concerned with women's rights? Especially Rees-Mogg who lives in the century that time forgot. Feminists like her know that trans/non binary people are an oppressed minority who are discriminated against. They see them as having much in common with women. Feminism was always about "crushing the patriarchy." It was about women achieving independence from men and achieving equality of opportunity, equal rights, which were still a long way off. This was the 1960s railing against the conservatism and conformity of the 1950s. That guy is evidently too young to know any better. Transgenders wanted legal recognition in the same way that homosexuals won the right to marry and be legally recognised as the gender they identify as. Thus, legally "women" or "men." But this hasn't gone down well with the old conservative traditionalists who see nothing but an existential threat: They are "erasing women. " This movement was completely reactionary, spawning the likes of Kellie Jay Keen and JK Rowling. Keen knew exactly who she intended to offend by posting "Adult Human Female" up on huge billboards in Liverpool. Did ordinary trans people need to be told by her that they will never be "real" women? From that a whole narrative has been spun to demonise trans people, and even an "ideology" I have yet to identify as anything other than an invention of the right wing, as represented by these two blokes.

    • Women are still seriously under represented in higher positions. Most governments are dominated by men. In many cases, reality does not mirror TV., and women are overlooked and do the majority of low paid jobs. However, I do not agree with constantly denigrating men, and policies which cut men, especially white men out of the selection process. What as you say, is so important is to acknowledge that men and women are equal but different. Women are more verbal and generally more pre disposed to the caring professions. It makes total sense that women might come to dominate in law and medicine. On the other hand in makes total sense that male interests make them more suited to the many professions in the engineering field. Men seem much more interested in gaming and thus they are likely to dominate in computing and gaming design, etc etc. Men are more suited to the military combat roles, - hobbies such as hunting and fishing indicate this. (Although I do think conscription should apply to men and women). Let's play to each others strengths, but not exclude one another if we have non stereotypical gender interests and abilities.

Explained away no doubt by claims that what we see is "passion" of which there is little doubt. But this is a form of single minded mania. Every word uttered to this woman will receive this same response if there is a hint her ideology is criticised. A zealot. A professional politician for a cause , lobbying you to be as neurotic about the opposite sex as she is. And it works by default. You cannot help consider any topic as stressed or emergent or absolute if its expressed in such an unhealthy manner. How did people who behave this way gain such loud voice? Ar what point did we decide that quite clearly amd currently mentally disturbed people are to be involved on every single talking point and issue just because they have the necessary characteristics to screech about? "You are wrong and my repsonse to your indiscretion of rhought is to respond with histrionics designed to make your opinion look like a threat " I like her, shes very honest for one of these types, she sees the direct opportunity here to prosecute her political enemies for non compliance. The visciousness behind it, we must all join team feminist and only then we will be safe Or else... Peoples who qualification is only there self perceived identity should really not be seen as experts on the basis they have a characteristic. This is so common, its gone from ..celebrity figure also has experience of extreme sexism growing up in very religious household so maybe has opinion on the issue to "i am.the celebrity whose celebrity is based solely on the fact ive met a few sexist men , my dad, my uncle and grandpa were all sexist and hated girls therefore my pain is now also yours, "i am now made expert by unresolved trauma." They ARE their protected characteristic and only that and they seem to think its a job. Thousands of them. Professional autistic anxious apocalyptic teenager? Meet greta. Professional person of colour? Meet a whole cast of protected characteristics. Its a supposition we are all stupid above anything else. Theres a network or media people all agreeing that debate on every topic is a devolving horrorshow of shaming and neurosese orchestrated by a single minded adult toddler. Be it a tessa, or a femi, or a starmer, or a shola abambigbambu, high pitched yearning ,alarmist, histrionic, accusatory twerps amd they are everywhere. There are exceptions to the rule, of course - there's a bloody good reason Margaret Thatcher was nicknamed "the Iron Lady" - but the best example is housing or property moguls. A woman will make a house into a home. She'll imbue it with certain characteristics, essentially anthropomorphise it over a period of time and become emotional upon having to leave it.
