Both under 3 seconds and neither made it on the leader board! WTF!! A few years ago their times woulda been epic 🤔
Imagine a 1400 kg lamborghini diablo with 500 hp in the late 90's , did 4.1 seconds to 100 kph... And that was just unthinkable in that time.. Now we have 2 ton sedans doing 2.5 - 2.8 seconds to 100 kph and 10 secon 1/4 miles 🤪🥳
Its crazy how our everyday sedans have similar performance to the sportscars of yesteryear. I'm not even talking about M's or AMGs, but even like Kia Stingers or Infinitis now would crush the Ferraris from the past. To think 20-30yrs from now the Tesla Plaid may be considered slow

@Dan 007 BMW was driving in higher gear than the mercedes and it take until it change the gear. They shoud have done lock in 3th gear it would have end with totally different result. Also watch the first run when the bmw was ahead what happened to the BMW laggy? Or mercedes acceleration? 🤦♂️🤦♂️

E63s was quick on the throttle on roll and m5 was quick and left before on the 1/4.. both incredible motors with immense power!! Especially the fact that they’re 4 door family sedans! It was toe to toe even though the m5 had more mods and weighed less but the amg was on race fuel so almost even but overall fantastic race!!

@Dan 007 not quite correct. stage 2 e63s, I.e catless downpipes and a map, will run circa 730-740bhp on pump fuel. Add in the CPC module, it’ll run circa 770bhp, add meth, 800. “Stage 3” would then be turbos and cooling.. As per MSL’s White E63s from last year. For ref mine is stage 2, with no cpc, comfortably running 740bhp and 830lb ft on pump fuel.
E63 was Hella quick on that throttle for the rolls.
After losing three times, the e63 driver decided to adopt a pilot posture 😂 His careful face is funny.
Loved the fact that the owners drove their own car. The chemistry and stress is amazing. You can feel their worry through every nano second of the races. Great video

E63S Gearbox is responsive especially on Roll Races
that double clutch box on the merc is mental, mad how the m5 keeps up with a torque converter gearbox though

The BMW driver was sleeping in higher gear 🥴 if someone else was driving the m5 would have end with totally different results.
@Dan 007 without dyno sheet we cannot just throw numbers around just like that lol. If we put it this way I can tell you that the M5 LCI is quicker than the 800hp e63s and the m5cs is quicker than this Gpower m5 f90 The funny fact about this is If a Stock m5 f90 lci does 10.8s 1/4miles everybody get jealous and say that the m5 have at least 700 hp and if a 800 hp m5 does 10.8s with 800hp that m5 has probably 820hp or at least 850hp Some peoples brain are workikg really wierd lol Anyway 850hp M5/M8 is under 10s 1/4 miles 800 hp m5/ m8 is at least 10.4s but with a good driver. Not someone who launch the car and use the pedals shifting because they think they are quick enough to change the gear 🥴🥴

That’s the same E63s that was on Dmo Deejays channel which managed to beat a 960kg 525bhp Corsa in ‘Mexico’ when it was only running 740bhp! For a family saloon with probably around £4-5k in mods it’s impressive 👏

My guess is the M5 will walk it considering it’s Stage 3 upgraded turbos running 822bhp and that Stage 2 E63s will be closer to 770bhp as that’s near enough what the standard turbos top out at! The M5 will be around 100kg lighter too so it should destroy that Merc 🚀.

@@user-bh6zt1it2l This guy is talking trash. They're both stage 2. Both running around 800hp. The guy said he m5 is capable of pushing more than 800hp if he ran race fuel. However he is on pump. The e63s on the other hand is running race fuel therefore making it a fair race. The only advantage the m5 has, is its 100kg weight difference. Which honestly I bet that e63s is pushing 150-200 more lb ft of torque.

Very close race but the m5 should have heavily gapped it even if the E63s was quicker on the throttle on the roll considering it had upgraded turbos, upgraded induction, gearbox tune, carbon bonnet, lighter etc compared to the AMGs mods I think the E63s did very well. Both cars are absolute beasts! Well done!
It has stock frame oem turbo's with upgraded wheels. And is not on race fuel like the Merc so there's that too.

Yes I understand however the m5 has slightly upgraded turbos where the e63 is stock. I do think the M5 probs is 810-820 bhp and e63 770-780. And ain't that bmw got carbon fiber bonnet and roof? All I'm sayin is m5 should be the clear winner on paper but the e63 did win few battles, don't matter if it's kickdown or not just shows the e63 is a better build car or the m5 is a worse driver? No?

The e63 is very potent, it did really well considering it’s still running on stock turbos with less power and carrying 100kg more weight. Will love to it back when he changes out the turbos.
