Thanks I truly appreciate that. There is something alluring to me about spending time in the shop focused like this. It’s a ton of work though 😂

Absolutely one of the most interesting projects I have seen you create. May you be safe, healthy and in great spirits during the time of chaos. Raise a cup and wish cheers to the caregivers out there fighting the fires. God bless you always.

Thank you.
You had me turning blue here at every move! I was looking at every single carve wondering where is that going to lead. That's called thinking outside of the box! I hope to see more of these ingenious turns from you!
Thank you so much, Adrian!
Takes a brave man to go into that spinning mayhem with a chisel. Great video. Thank you.
Thanks David!
Cheers from Texas. Stay sane during this troubling time. Love watching you work.
Thanks! You’re in!
Makes me want to go out and purchase a wood lathe and try to make such beautiful articles..... Would properly loose a finger or knuckle. Looks so easy....so much skill and understanding of the Wood, the tools as well as an artistic idea of what’s locked inside that block of wood. It’s mesmerising watching these videos ......Thanks for showing all of us what you can do. Eddy
Thanks I appreciate that, Edwin!
There were a couple of times that I said “he’s crazy, that’s thin enough “ but I’m glad you didn’t listen. Beautiful piece. Cheers to you and the next piece. 👊🏼

good grief. I only found your channel just today, but I'm already finding my eyes glued to the screen until deep in the night. So mesmerising to watch you turn a hunk of wood into a piece of art. Wish I had such skill. Cheers!

@@DavidAdamsen He is trying! Virtual learning starts on Monday here. Hope all is well at your home!
Good old KZhead. I had been cursing their recommendations when this popped up. I was on the edge of my seat, half expecting your hand to get mangled by the spinning wood but you obviously know what you're doing. I don't think i've ever seen that shape turned before either, so well done and cheers for the excellent upload. I hope everyone stays safe and we'll all get through to the other side of this. All the best from Plymouth in south west England.
Thanks I appreciate that! You’re in!
This turn had me guessing to the very end! Well done! Beautiful! I watch your videos and many others who do wonderful works of art like this almost every night as I go to sleep. I’ve had many health issues that have kept me isolated far longer than the current pandemic. I’m OK, though! God is good! Cheers! -Jack

Watching the piece spin on the lathe is almost as mesmerizing as the finished part itself! Another beautiful job, please keep up the great videos, cheers!
Thanks, Kurt! You're in!
As a woodworker, I found this video very intriguing as I had no idea of the planned result. It seemed very dangerous to create. Awesome job & cheers!
Thanks! You’re in!
Cheers errupted from my lips as you displayed the completed work! I am still amazed by this stunning piece!
Thanks! You’re in! ✌️
WOW!! I am in total awe of watching these folks take other wise unusable wood and turn them into magnificent!
Thanks Mark!
Cheers, I really like how you took a ordinary cube and turned it around an unusual axis and got a unique piece....and the missing knot was genius. It ties back to the origin of the burl but without breaking the sophistication of the shape. Magical piece.
Thank you so much Michael!
This is absolutely gorgeous. It reminded me of St Brigid's Cross. Cheer's to you, for the amazing talent indeed.🙋♀️
Thanks Alison!
Hello David. This is the first time that I watched your channel. I have a recent fascination and respect with watching wood turning and your channel popped up in my feed. Absolutely beautiful artwork! I would have subscribed even without your giveaway. Thank you for showing your work! Cheers, Lisa

@@DavidAdamsen i wonder how this thing holds together when you spin it. Has it ever flown into your face or something? It must be dangerous, i guess. I remenber doing woodturning back in the school days, I wish someone told me then that you can be more creative than a little rough birch vase)
That's so incredible!! cheers to you david you have an awesome talent keep it up the good work👍

This is really amazing! Burl is wonderful and the shape is simply fantastic! During this lockdown period I also went back to my lathe. It's just me, my lathe and my cats. Thanks for this video. Cheers to you David. A hug from Italy.
Thanks! You’re in! ✌️
I've recently started watching your channel and am amazed by some of your ideas and concepts. Like what you did with this Maple burl. Which definitely turned out very beautiful. I don't have a lathe yet, but am working towards one. A slow process, but I love watching others do it. I feel I am learning in advance before I get my hands on learning. Which I know will be another slow process. But I know I'll get there. Cheers mate. And thanks for the videos. I will continue to watch and learn.
Thank you so much, Daniel! Hope you end up turning!
Cheers to you and your skills. I'd love to get to this level of wood turning. Really beautiful stuff.
Thanks, Steven! You're in!
Very unique and beautiful piece! Those corners flying by still give me the shivers, lol. Nice work, and Cheers!
Thank you Dave! You’re in!
This must have required so much patience, and the end result is absolutely beautiful. Could be interesting to do something similar with a cube comprised of layers of different woods. Cheers mate :-)

Beautiful piece of art once again David. Your thought pattern never ceases to amaze me. Did you always know you wanted to create this from that piece of wood? Hi from Australia 🇦🇺

Awesomeness David! A unique design. Someone will be very lucky for winning this!
Thanks Jake! I appreciate you!
Cheers to you for your distinctive turning of the burl bowl. Thank you for all your content as it is very instructive. I do not have a wood lathe, so I cannot do that type of turning. I do have a small metal lathe which I have attempted some turning, but nothing of note.

Cheers This was a great mix of nervousness (since this looked difficult), relaxing (well, wood turning, duh) and excitement ( to see how it turned out). Thank you!

"Cheers" originated from the old French word chiere which meant “face” or “head.” By the 18th century, it meant “gladness,” and was used as a way of expressing encouragement. So face, head and gladness David :)
Thanks! You’re in! I never knew that!
The word 'Bistro' comes from the Russians yelling "Hurry Up!" to French cafe workers when they invaded Paris in 1814.
Cheers! I love this ❤️❤️❤️ and watching wood turning is bringing me peace right now. I keep sharing these videos to my Facebook hoping it brings peace to someone else. When this is all over I want my new job to be a wood turner 👍
Thanks! You’re in!
Thanks! Waiting to win this beauty!!! ♥️
The imagination you have to come up with this is amazing. It is absolutely stunningly gorgeous💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I always thought “cheers” was something important to folks down under in Australia or New Zealand... at any rate... cheers to you! It is good to have a light and happy heart! A good synonym for cheers...merry. A Bible verse... A merry heart doeth good like a medicine. As for this maple bowl that you have made....it is phenomenally incredible the skill you have! This is the first of your video’s I’ve watched! Hooked! I subscribed not just for the chance to display that beautiful bowl here in my office but also due to the incredible vision, talent, and artwork I see in this video! I also appreciate the good music you had playing softly in the background...added much more “cheers” to the watching! God bless you real well! I’m a missionary in the Philippines. Love to do woodworking as a hobby in my spare time. But my skill set and tools is like grade 2 or 3 compared to your PhD!
Thank you Bob! You’re in! Happy turning and best wishes!

I can't imagine I would ever come up with something like that design. Was that in your head the entire time? Cheers!
Thanks, Jeff! You're in! I knew that I wanted the six wings, I just wasn't sure how they would flow back to the bowl. As you saw, I kinda inched my way toward the finished shape.

Very beautiful
Thanks!
This is such a fascinating shape! I love how it turned out. Question, what is the reasoning behind sanding, adding lemon oil, sanding again, and then using the sanding sealer? Watching your channel more than anything else has inspired me to reach out to a friend with a lathe and get back to a hobby I used to love. Once all the orders for isolation we are going to work together on relearning old skills and then expanding on them. So Cheers! And thank you.
Very good question... I'd like to know that too. Thanks
Had the same question
Cheers, Amy! You're in! I didn't show all the sanding, but I had to let the piece sit overnight after I sanded till about 1:30 AM. Because I had to walk away from the piece I wanted to protect it from cracking. I also think using lemon oil brings out the color more in the wood.
David, I have to admit that I have a hard time watching your video's. Once I start watching I want to go to the end to see the finished project. LOL. Enjoyed the show and love the finished project. "Cheers", Dave.
