THESE SWITCHES ARE STILL MECHANICAL
Still shit though :^) edit 3 years down the line: what the fuck? these switches are fine idk what i was on. im gonna leave my comments just to embarrass my future self lol
shit? HOW LMAO
Jec you probably use Razer crap or the overpriced corsairs 😂
Pablo González Hermosilla keyboard wise, I use the HyperX Alloy. I moved from a Logitech keyboard which cost more, and the change from Roamer G switches to Cherry Mx Blues is very noticeable. I'm just speaking from experience.
Jec Look, i dont like the romer-g myself better than the cherry mx red, i use a k70 lux (because rapidfire feels like crap, and i had the money to buy it hahahaha). But saying its shit its simply not true, as i know of a lot of ppl who use romer-g switches and like it better than ChMX, because they feel faster and you dont need to press the key to the end to activate it, which is what i dont like precicely because i tend to use a lot of force when pressing keys, so they gey that mushy feeling everyone talks about. If you dont do what i do OR can get accoustomed to press ligthly (something i cant do because ive been pc gaming for more than 15 years and i just cant get rid of that habit), they are as good and arguably better than ChMx switches (or their knock offs). And ChMx blue suck for gaming, they are not fast enough.
There rubber pads on the bottom of the keyboard aren't there to prevent the keyboard from scratching your desk, they're there to prevent the keyboard from slipping and moving around your desk when in use.
Thought the same thing lol!
Mostly for that but also for the scratching
jayount I was the 69th like lol
i think we all knew that...
One thing can solve two problems.
"it doesn't feel cheap" Well yeah, cuz it isn't
Lmao
@Nathan two years late two years late
benjii boi yeah
I said that in my head to
what website does he go to customize the keyboard at 2:47 ? Can someone help
Not sure why people seem to think Cherry MX and its clones are what mechanical switches are. There's Topre, Romer-G, and a few other obscure ones as well, this keyboard is in by no means rubber dome.
.
Alps switches are pretty damn good
2:16 your welcome
I hate u HAPPY!?
Yep no homo
BRO NOOO GET OVER IT
ITS NO HOMO jeez
*YOUR*
That "Joystick" looking button is and has always been known as Gaming Mode on all the G series keyboards that have ever had it, it hasn't always been a button though since it originally was a slider switch, what it basically does is it shuts down windows key as standard, you can make it shut down any other normal keys other than macros but this one doesn't have those anyway.
99% of comments : The G Pro is Mechanical !!!! 1% of comments : Good Video Frank
true
Good frank video!
Huh! Frank you do realise Romer G's are mechanical switches they just aren't cherry that is all
I use Romer G's and have done for 8 months now after moving from Cherry red's and blue's and I'm extremely happy with my decision. Each to their own.
chidinma onyejuruwa yeah same here, while I love the mx speed this gives me a middle ground for fast actuation and comfortable typing.
I was wondering if someone else ever noticed that about the review. I mean, just going to Logitech's product page would already tell you right on the header that these were mechanical switches. I just never knew that there was ever this misconception in the community that only Cherry MX or their clones are real mechanical switches.
Yep, No idea where this misconception comes from
Now I wouldn't necessarily say that, this is this man's living and I don't think he wouldn't take it so non-seriously, however it's easy to confuse not just misunderstand. Also considering most people only know of cherry mx it's understandable. That being said, if I was Logitech I'd be pissed, but he may have also misspoken. He has other Romer-G reviews not just this one, maybe he said it correctly in the other one.
Hey at least there is one company that can do RGB tastefully, without that awful backlight bleed like everyone else is doing right now. The problem is not being able to change the keycaps, since they're most likely gonna be very cheap ABS like every other gaming keyboard. Also FYI the Logitech switches are indeed mechanical, they do not "emulate" anything.
Looks very clean and nice tbh.
Ikr?!
check out cooler masterkeys pro s
yes ! pretty much the same keyboard and more or less the same price and the master key pro s has a few more switch options . i have the masterkey pro s with brown switches and they have been great
digitalexone hey, do you recommend it, i don't know if this one or the pro s
Pro S anyday !! much more solid.
i’ve had this keyboard for nearly 3 years now. while my switch preference has changed, that’s just a me thing. this board is amazing, and the only problem is that the rgb starts to become discolored on a lot of the keys, making it so that you cannot have switches be the same color. for example, if i make the keyboard blue rgb, it will be lots of shades of blue and sometimes even shades of green
ROMER G'S ARE MECHANICAL THO
just feel different than normal Cherry MX’s...
Not as good as Corsair tho
Yeah..?
@@thebeast9916 corsair keyboards aren't good
@@oranges3482 lol swapped my shitty k70 for this, the switches feel weird compared to blues but ill get used to it
Great vid, helped me make a decision. If you like cherry reds, to me this has a more accurate feel. Perfect amount of resistance and short travel.
editing on point!
The shot of software with live changes on keyboard was a really nice addition
the romer g switch is mechenical even tough he says they are not....
Mechanical*
AuthenticLogic because they aren’t cherry? lmao
Mike Philips no, they just feel mushy
He never said they weren't mechanical, he just said that they are not like normal cherry MX switches and they are more mushy
I have the G810 and it is a very well-made, solid keyboard. I, also, like that it's quiet for a mechanical. My only qualm is that there is no way to toggle the light modes without downloading the software. It would have been better without extra software necessary. But, I digress.
To those who hate Romer-G switches, it all comes down to preference. I had both G610 with MX Red and G810 with Romer G side by side and i sticked to G810. For me, Romer-G is a better switch for typing and also it's good for gaming. They don't feel membrane at all and they are amazing when you get used to and manage to control your actuation force. I type way faster and more precisely on Romer-G than I did on MX Red. I don't say MX Red switches are bad, they simply are not for me.
Man interacted with romer g switches and got to say these are one of my favorite switches, its a good mix between brown and red. Brown switches tactile feel is a little too hard, while the red is way to smooth for me, this is the perfect medium. These keyboard are actually selling for more now since they are hard to find.
man really just said that mx browns are too tactile
I have this keyboard and it’s amazing, well built minimal and beautiful design with nice vibrant rgb.
4:31 Did you just state unironically that the keyboard isn't mechanical? You already had me wondering when you described the feel of these switches as trying to "emulate" the feel of mechanical switches. Frank, just because its not a Cherry MX or a clone switch doesn't mean its not a real mechanical switch! They feel different because they were designed that way, but I can assure you that there aren't any rubber domes or membranes in that keyboard.
People make mistakes
Peter Parker A mistake that could’ve been easily avoided by doing a quick research on the product for like 3-5mins. It’s not that hard, it literally states in Logitech’s website that it’s a mechanical keyboard. All Frank cares about is pumping out videos despite what’s the content of it as evident in this video.
Dyan Co ^^^^^
Don't you think there is enough of these comments already? Shut the hell up people already got the point across. He made a mistake if you don't like it then LEAVE.
I have this keyboard and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
I love what you did for the software demonstration.
Really beautiful keyboard and great review. I would definitely consider picking this up if it went on sale.
The Romer G switches are mechanical. The reason they exist is for a smoother transition from their older product lines to mechanical switches.
RomerG's are mechanical just like Steelseries's QS1 ... it just feels like MX Silent with orings. I prefer Razer Ornata, I would LOVE Logitech G Pro TKL with MX Speed switches, but if i could get a silent version of Razer Ornata i would totally go with that. Btw can you make a comparison on all of the "Danish made/Danish company mechanical keyboards like Steelseries?
Romer G sounds better than MX switches.
Sounds perfect. I can literally feel how it would be to type on just by hearing it. I'm getting one.
Thanks for the sound test. Very appreciated.
This is a mechanical keyboard, wtf are you talking about dude?
for real doe... and he is a "techtuber" so sad..
Rayhanantha Rasya he said it feels like a mechanical keyboard dumbass
It's okay to be bad at English. May be invest a bit more on learning the language!!
Death Maker, You are not only bad at English, but also never heard about typo.
Did he delete his comment?
I just bought the the Logitech g pro TKL at Best Buy
A brilliant review, exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Dude, your videos are super dope and I like that there are no ads!
Hearing him call out Romer-G switches for "Not being mechanical" frustrates me so badly, how can a tech reviewer have such a basic knowledge? Especially when in fact Romer-G switches are deemed to be better quality than any mx switch.
he is simply too lazy to do any real research. Spitting out content is all he cares about.
Can't agree more
honestly its a simple mistake on his behalf
Honestly he might be wrong but shut the hell up. If you don't like it then LEAVE. because the people who want to enjoy it can't because of your loud mouth
@@nathanplayz8491 so wait... we can't give any sort of feedback? whenever someone says stupid shit we should watch the other way or leave? dude messed up, pretty big... but it's an honest mistake
Someone please for the love of all that is holy, make a PBT keycap set for Romer-G.
I just about the Orion Spectrum, had considered getting the TKL version but the Orion Spectrum was actually cheaper. Love the media keys so I have no regrets
The extra price pays off with the software, I have used it for a while on my G502, rarely lags and able to automatically change profiles based on what app you use (not available in corsair or razer)
Seems like Logitech is going wireless with its gaming peripherals like the g403 wireless, and now this. I think it's a cool direction, as long as there's no input lag and high costs to deal with it.
You do realize that this is a wired keyboard?
StatTrak Fedora LUL
Frank, the dude who dreams keyboards while he is sleeping.
Krristos k is that supposed to be funny
Canned Bread is it

The quality of your videos is amazing. Keep it up
Ordered one today it arrives in a few days. I'm so excited.
Romer G are logitech mech keyboards dude. Don't make a video without reading the product page at least
I like my omron Japanese romer G switches that are made from 1000 folds of fucking steel.
Currently using a g610 keyboard. I love everything about the TKL exept that it has no media buttons!!! As a g610 user i can tell you that the media buttons is a must have for me.
nice video keep doing the great vids randomfrankp
I just got this for my bday today 😂
happy bday!
Will we ever get a tkl keyboard with dedicated media controls?
thats what i want to know i mean its not that hard to put them where they out the lighting and windows lock keys. my dream keyboard is a tkl logitech keyboard like this but with cherry blue switches are media keys with a wrist rest i mean is that so hard?
Corsair K63
yep! I have it and o rly enjoy it (the k63 mx red)
Video is getting better and better
This dudes editing is just amazing
Best keyboard ive ever had, i love it
What switches is the one he has
"This keyboard is not annoying so it isnt gonna bother anyone around you." Myth uses it *CLICK CLICK CLICK*
frank you have the best production quality, your videos look amazing and your reviews are damn good. Shoot, you are the reason why i got my cosair k70 lux, your awesome keep up the good work dude!
the sound test is always my favorite part
3:00 I actually thought that was a real display I'm serious xD
Mustapha Tigmi yo me too!!
I thought it was a box with super powers or something .-.
Sky lol me too
Not corsair? Reported for abusive content
Corsair keycaps feel like trash compared to logitech, I've had both
+Exunary Ikr
Exunary Corsair and Logitech keycaps are ABS so the quality is pretty much the same, if you want something decent take a keyboard from Ducky or Cooler Master
aaaa
Razer is the best.
I’m rocking a G PRO Wireless and the G PRO MECH TKL and G560 ... Logitech all dayyyyyy
Switching from G413 to G Pro, love it
Is it worth changing it instead of a Razer Blackwidow chroma?
Yes
Koi GI-GI I wouldn’t recommend it
Koi GI-GI not because it’s nit great I have a g810 which is basically the same thing and it’s great and all but when a press the keys it doesn’t feel clicky and it doesn’t feel mechanical so if you want to get a keyboard I recommend getting something like a Corsair k70 or k68 but this is my opinion
The Roamer G switches ARE MECHANICAL. They are just Logitech's own switch type.
Whats the difference of this Logitech G-Pro Keyboard vs. The Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red Speed? Someone please help
I got tired of mx blues so i got romer g because it is so much quiet. Also it feels nicer to type on and get work done
Your videos are so much higher quality than some people with more subscribers than you. You deserve more subs!
WTF randomfrankp. Romer-G are mechanical switches. They are not trying to emulate the "mechanical feeling" because they are mechanical.
1.Logitech G Pro is a Mechanical Keyboard. Have you ever heard of Romer Gs? 2.Romer G sounds better than MX Switches.
thanks pro cant wait to get this keyboard
That effect you did in the middle is fucking dope! Never seen that on KZhead before.
Lane William ikr! I've only seen like 2-3 other people that have done that! It's cool asf.
That screen on the table beside keyboard
Pro editing
Yanshu Patel 👌
Logitech is the best, typed from Logitech K200 =D
I went from a membrane to a Corsair with reds and then razer with greens and then to the G-Pro. G-Pro is my favorite by far. Only thing I don’t like is that there is no ripple affect Edit: nvm lmao I figured out how to use ripple
The best lighting that I have ever seen on a keyboard still.
I wish Logitech would include wrist rests. None of their new keyboards have wrist rests which I find disappointing.
Um... hello? The G910?
Howard Moen Then the g410 is for you
Romer-G switches are mechanical! just Logitechs own implementation...
I know romer G’s are good and all but they were not durable on my G413, the spacebar switch jammed and when i took the spacebar keycap the switch broke into 4 parts.
The key caps snap too easily and there is issue with the rgb light, I have been using it for 3 years now and the key caps started to pop out because the legs have broken, I have 3 keys that don't match the color with the rest, quite annoying tbh
I believe it's highly overpriced. $130 is too much for a TKL. With such a standard design with no bells & whistles, in my opinion it shouldn't exceed $100.
yea and is it just me or are the keys all f'ed up at 0:50 ? like in the WASD area.
HeyItsUltra! You're being sarcastic right.. 😕?
Ak4tsuki-kun ofc he is lol.
I mean, no bells and whistles isn't a bad thing lol. I use a magicforce keyboard that has 68keys, is aluminum, backlit, with cherry mx browns. It's amazing and cost around $60. This keyboard is pretty much the same thing- a minimal approach... but the price is seriously inflated.
Chris Herrera Yeah this keyboard is wayyy too expensive for a tkl, would rather get a full keyboard at this price point instead :P
Romer G is mechanical...
BRAYDOS_ get schooled boi
BRAYDOS_ indeed they are a different type of but it is still mechanical and it doesn’t emulate the feel the switch is totally mechanical.
I have the g810 Orion spectrum, which is the same as this but with a num pad. I must say, it is the best keyboard I've ever owned
I've using the g502 since 2yrs ago, can't found any mouse better than this one
What do you think? Should i buy this keyboard or asus claymore?
Lyftis. The clay more is absolutely beautiful, but that just depends on the switch. I believe the clay more comes in reds or browns. You have to go test out the switches, see if there's a computer shop around or microcenter. I love mx speed and romer g's personally, having used reds for a while they somehow got boring real fast. I currently have the G810 orion spectrum (full key layout version of this basically), having previously (about a week ago) owned a corsair k70 rapid fire rgb. I love them both equally, but I currently prefer the G810 due to its simplicity.
Claymore is an overpriced gimmick
Lyftis. if you want cherry switches, go for cm master keys pro s rgb. it's awesome and built like a tank.
Lyftis. get corsair
Hotel? Trivago
Logitech G Pro or Razer Blackwidow V2 Which should i Buy?
Haze Logitech G Pro is a lot better quality than Razer Blackwidow V2. I had the Razer one and after 1 month it broke. I am actually using Logitech G pro right now and it performs and feels very proffesional and comfortable.
Dot Of Life Thanks and another qestion Can you Programm your one Animation on the Keyboard? Like on the razer Keyboards?
Haze None of them, buy Corsair k70 instead trust me
Haze yes you can. I made myself a pac-man animation. It looks awesome
yea take corsair
I like how the second function symbols on the keys are backlit as well
your video quality is excellent.this is the best keyboard showcasing/comparing video i have ever seen.keep up―,.―
Logitech G Pro vs. Razer Ornata
MΩβILΣ GΔMIΠG nah, totally different, razer blackwidow x chroma TE cost the same as this logitech
tournament
It depends on which switch you like better, on a side note I like logitech better for typing the alleviated rows are annoying to type on (I had the razer blackwidow)
corsair
why would you want to compare a tkl mechanical keyboard with a membrane-mechanical hybrid keyboard ?
Eeeesh... Dude, it's not a good look when you don't even realise that the keyboard you're reviewing is mechanical. Your camerawork is top-notch, so congrats on that, but make sure you do your research next time.
this or the k65 lux?? I am personally a fan of the romer switches and I think this Logitech keyboard has a very clean non aggressive look. the main thing I prefer about the k65 lux is the volume and media keys. logitech why not put them on these???
can you set individual keys as key switches? for example every time you press the key it lights up, press again light off, press again light up, and so on?!
Hello, whats the BEST keyboard for 50$ ???
David Grubisic for 50? well, you can get the corsair k55, its a really nice keyboard, he made a review of it.
David Grubisic redragon kumara?
that's also a very good option, its mechanical btw, but what I dont like is the design of it
K55 corsair
Wait a few months, the k63 has just been released.
i got the g810 just because i cant stand not having media buttons
dom5201 same dude
The only reason I bought the full size version is that this version lacks that volume scroll. That thing is so helpful.
Are the keycaps small? I often have the problem with smaller caps of hitting multiple keys at once...
Christ it's a nice keyboard but the price man!
Admiral Waffle exactly, with that money you can buy a razer or a corsair keyboard, even a minimalist. Bad choice from Logitech
Fabricio Beckelmann Yes, the size was probably one of the only things that bumped the price
rather buy logitech over razer
I feel ya, i just bought one on amazon when it was on sale, i wanted it for a long time but it was really expensive, but damn it was worth it. Amazing keyboard would 100% recommend!
SubSonic dude how much did u payed in the sale?
I just can't take this review seriously. He says "emulating that mechanical feel" over and over... Is just too lazy of a reviewer to don't reserch about (or read the box of...) the product he has in hand.
i honestly can't decide between this keyboard or razer black widow tournament edition, i'm coming from a steel series apex and it's a pretty big keyboard fits well with my big hands but i would love a tournament since they are compact and smaller. which should i go for?
I personally recommend that you get the Corsair k65 LUX mechanical keyboard. It's definitely a lot nicer. I got it about 5 days ago and have been absolutely in love with it.
2018 anyone?
The switches are mechanical lmao
the nostalgia goes crazyyy this the first gaming kb i ever got so many good memories with it b4 i gave it away :,)
im looking for my 1st mechanical keyboard. should i go for Logitech G512 or Logitech G Pro TKL?
Logitech' switches are fucking ass
they sound so beautiful!
That floating window effect looks very good
The Orion Spark apparently had the older version of Romer Gs. The new ones like the one I have on the G910 Orion Spectrum has the newer ones that don't have the squishy feeling anymore. It's more along the lines of Cherry Reds
