  • I like how it also handles the squawk and radios to help pilot work load. Nice one Garmin

    • Hi, Steve. Thanks so much for your feedback. And thank you for watching. We want to make sure we create quality content that helps our viewers, and we typically focus on one subject per video. If you don't mind our asking, would you be able to elaborate further on your comment? Do you just mean you find it more useful when the videos are short and get right to the point? Or is there something else you'd like to see? Again, we appreciate any feedback you're able/willing to provide for us.

    • @@MidwestPanels What I like; Accurate Title, I'm watching what I want; You get into the topic without wading in the weeds; Then, as you narrate the film you advise the audience what you are doing, explain why you are doing it in precision, while providing a filming window which is stable and easy to follow (the Garmin screen is prominent for the viewer to follow with you). The labels in the film do provide assistance and emphasis. What I sense is you thoroughly prepare for the filming, and it shows. Since you asked, demonstrations of the features/advantages, set ups, and managing the panels you design. Thank you for the videos :^)

    • @@stevev4057 We can't tell you how much we appreciate your detailed response. We certainly try to produce the best products and content we can, so we're thrilled to know that it's useful. We'll make sure to keep your input in mind - particularly for our shop tutorials, which tend to focus on a specific function of different avionics equipment and components. That being said, we also want to keep our videos as entertaining/engaging as possible for viewers. As far as the field demos and in-flight testing videos, we like to show how much fun we're having while we're "on the clock," but always prioritize informative and helpful subject matter. Thanks again for watching, and don't ever hesitate to reach out!

  • Great video! Thanks for posting! :) If you could post a video on how well garmin angle of attack does in flight, that would be cool too! Cheers.

    • Thanks, Eric. We actually just recently posted a video explaining how to calibrate AOA on a Garmin in a Sling 2. You can find it on our Customers-Only Facebook page. Check out our website - www.midwestpanels.com - and take a look at the systems we offer. Once you become a customer, you can access all of our tutorials and how-to videos. Thanks for watching!

  • Great video guys, much appreciated. Where can I enter the VG and sink rate to enable the feature? The G3X Touch, manual rev. S is a little light on it. Where do I make the changes in the configuration menu?

    • @@MidwestPanels Thanks, for the quick reply, can’t wait to test fly Smart Glide! I texted Jean earlier today for the sink rate, what did you use in the Sling 2? 700fpm? I know VG is 72 knots.

  • I could not hear the audio annunciator - were you getting an audio alert to disengage the AP? I would assume so. Also, will it continuously update the fields available within the current glide range as you continue your descent? I'm considering adding this to the new panel for my C-177. It is impressive.

    • Yes there is an audible alert to disconnect, when we recorded this the audio was only through the microphone. It currently doesn’t update but they are supposedly working on that.

  • What will it do if the nearest airfield is outside glide range? Point in that direction anyway? Not engage at all? Something else?

    @CBeckMayberry@CBeckMayberry2 жыл бұрын
    • It will alert you that there is no airport in range, it will maintain glide and queue up 121.5 and 7700 on the squawk.

  • how do you tune an autopilot and is that something an owner can do?

    @N937LC@N937LC2 жыл бұрын
    • Hi David, you can tune an autopilot as an owner, it does take some trial and error to get it dialed in but you can follow the directions in the Garmin G3X manual. We do have an autopilot video coming out on our customer page.
