  • Our scout leader was an AF survival instructor, so our outings were always "scavenging" outings; our summer camp canor trip, was not normal for the rest of the camp; we did not take provisions, and had to find our meal (12 of us); we survived that night on berries, 5 trout, and some yummy bugs.

  • You know whats funny most people have these big setups for beach fishing me i use either split shots or small bell weights used for catfish in small ponds and circle hooks in three feet of water and let it drift and I've caught pompano, whiting, pinfish, makeral and small drum that way while most people dont catch anything ive found that if you use just enough weight but not to much on the beach when the fish hit they wont feel the resistance on the line it usually only takes me 2 cast this way per fish ive had game wardens just watch me fish like they would stand there for a few minutes watching probably because i use a micro pole as well i prefer a dock demon pole since its rather strong and flexible

I'm watching you fishing on these beautiful beaches in this beautiful weather and you are covered from head to knee. I notice other people are similarly covered. I know for a fact when I was your age I would be wearing shorts and probably nothing else. So what's that all about and isn't it uncomfortably hot?
