Thanks for watching and subbing! The G3 is great... not sure if we just got lucky but I did not have the ghosting issues others have reported. I think for the series s you would be fine with this monitor. You might be able to save a couple of bucks going with this LG monitor: kzhead.info/sun/jZmNnpGhrYahYJs/bejne.html I have not used the Acer VG but from its specs I think you would have a very similar experience to the G3!
@@tvchef Thx for suggesting the LG monitor but here it's just 10 bucks cheaper and its renewed so not much of a difference... And regarding the ghosting problem, i did a bit of searching and the monitor others are reviewing has completely different stand and the down bezels, cz the monitor in this video has this "speaker like" lower bezels whereas the others have it completely flat, also the model number for this particular model that you are reviewing is "LS24AG300NWXXL" while the other one is modeled as "LF24G35TFWWXXL" So that might explain the ghosting issue i guess lol

Ive noticed that, the peiple who say this monitor has ghosting theirs looks slightly different. I have one that looks like this, feels amazing.
And what makes it difficult is it can truly vary panel to panel!

I had the "other" g3 and can tell you that it had a looooot of ghosting, and actually died after 6 month of use. Just received this new model of the g3, with the weird thing a the bottom, and the panel is way better, with bigger view angels and less ghosting, almost nothing

Sorry to hear that Boris. I don't know what's going on for you... might need to play around with your laptop settings. Do you have another computer you can try the monitor out on to make sure its not defective?
So when you tilt the monitor landscape my screen stays horizontal so if I was going to watch a KZhead video it wouldn't let me because the screen didn't change when I tilted it
Correct. You can physically rotate the monitor but unlike your phone screen it won't automatically adjust. You need to go to your computers display settings and adjust the screen!

Please how set good colors? Nvidia cotrol panel, monitor settings? Desktop is a little washed same as web browser, movies on youtube like „animals in 4k” color washed. I did some setting to and colors are better but still its not like real. Also when I check Lamberg web site test it shows bad contrast, bad gamma but with „correct” settings color looks just bad. Please help
I would try to manfully change profiles/settings from the display for the colors vs nvidia control panel. If also might want to look into the displaycal software and tools we used in this video!

I think if you are on a budget that is not a bad choice! You will be capped at 1080p so doesn't seem like you are doing your PS5 justice!
Is VA close to OLED? Cause i love deeper blacks but IPS come off as grey and it doesnt look good when compared to my OLED Iphone screen. Especially when playing horror and dark looking games it doesnt look immersive
VA and TN usually would have "better" black levels than IPS usually. Defiantly worth a shot!

Great question... honestly they are very similar in price but with AOC you get a larger 27" display vs 24"... I'd probably go that route all things being equal!

At the time of this comment I would go with the Gigabyte as it is $20 cheaper on Amazon: geni.us/TnyHpsv (affiliate link) and you get 165hz or up to 180 if you overclock! I haven't used this Gigabyte in person but it would appear the colors would be better!

Bought this but had to use Nvidia Control Center to change it to use the Nvidia color settings for Desktop applications or it looked washed out and super bright like it was auto set as a TV bc it only has an hdmi cable. Had to reduce the gamma there to 0.6 and the monitor brightness to 60, it was bugging my eyes.

I'm debating on getting the G3 27" for $50 at a pawn. Tbh 1080p and anything over 60hz is considered high for me, I'm still rocking 720p monitors lol and %99 of monitors don't come with speakers, that I've seen.

The UFO test is not for smoothness. Its for testing motion clarity. Its to test the sharpness of the UFO in motion. I was wondering how it will perform since it is a VA panel but the reviewer testing smoothness in the UFO test makes me believe this is just a channel for the not technically inclined.

@@tvchef You're correct on that test not being for ghosting, but a ghosting test would've been very helpful. It's pretty much the only thing I wanted to know about this display when I clicked the video, low price VAs tend to have bad ghosting.

The G3 in this video: G30A does not have built in speakers so if that is the version you have then that is why it won't work!

this review helped me a lot to decide which monitor to buy but I gotta say that as someone with adhd, the social media thing in the bottom left corner was very distracting the whole time and kinda made me feel sick lol

I've seen in forums that this monitor has a lot of ghosting problems and it has me confused. When I looked at the comments of the users who bought it, they all gave more than 4 points out of 5. Is there any ghosting as a result?

PS5 is only hdmi so not sure what you are seeing? That would most likely be for PC users!

This is one of the only videos actually reviewing the G30A. It was very frustrating trying to find this, I've seen lots of complaints in text reviews about the chin, but they really don't get that it's 100% worth it if you're only planning on using the built-in speakers. Down-firing speakers are terrible for actual daily-use.

There is ghosting on this monitor... seems like it has drastically improved from previous versions of this monitor! I am not sure the differences between this and the S24AG300NRX so I would expect a very similar experiences since they are both Samsung displays!

You just have to change inputs... at least that's what I've done and haven't have to unplug.

The G3 has a 144 hertz refresh rate, an LED Display, and it is a little lighter. The G32A has a 165 hertz refresh rate, a VA Display, and weight a little more than the G3! -MB

We have not had the same ghosting issues others have reported... we don't know what's going on and think there must be multiple revisions or people have a different SKU then what we showed in this video...

I don't know if we got lucky or just don't notice it but nothing out of the ordinary. The colors are the weakest point in our opinion but I bought it new for ~$150 on Amazon during Cyber Week so for the price nothing we can't forgive!
