If you own The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Expansion Pass grants access to three new treasure chests, DLC Pack 1, “Master Trials,” and DLC Pack 2, “The Champions’ Ballad,” as they are released. DLC Pack 1 “Master Trials” includes: Trial of the Sword, Master Mode, Hero’s Path, Travel Medallion, Korok Mask and eight new armors. Master Trials - DLC Pack 1 will be available June 30, 2017.

I like how the loading screen is red in Master Mode, like it's telling you that you're going to die a lot. Also I'm glad Master Mode is a different save file!!

I swear everyone forgets that rune and forgets how useful it can be.
On my first playthrough I completely forgot about cyronis until I'm halfway through the game.... would have been real helpful if I remember that rune...
There are a lot of creative ways to use it! My friends are always surprised when they watch me play haha

20 dollars to make the game harder! Maybe, but it takes a week just to get anywhere in this game. I'm a serious gamer but I never really play zelda over and over. They should give the dlc for free. It's crap to charge for master mode! That should have been in the game like all other games have difficulty options...but Nintendo doesn't so they make you pay! I'm getting it free, so phhhhhtttt on it all. I want more side quests and new storylines, not master garbage, the game is already tough, and way to damn long. Sad, everyone will buy the dlc. We should all be emailing them and complaining. I won't pay for master mode as that should have already been implemented into the damn game. dadnbud dude, you do know all of this was gonna be in the game originally right? They didn't have enough time before the release date to program all of it into the game. This game was delayed enough as it is. That's why they made it dlc. They wanted to still have it in the game but didn't have time to program it all in. Plus the dlc pack coming out in winter is a new story. I'm not sure how good it'll be but it's a new story none-the-less. Which does make it worth 20 dollars. Everything in this video is just extra stuff that takes less time to program so this is what we get to hold ourselves over until winter so people don't lose interest

Here's hoping Gold-tier enemies will actually have some intelligence compared to the others, that way there'll be some increases in the difficulty and it doesn't just become "you break 4 weapons fighting Lynels instead of 3". Also, might just be me, but I think I would've preferred if the new enemy tier was "Malice" instead of Gold, where they'd have the same general color pattern of all the Ganon juice you find around Hyrule.

GigaBatz the silver variants adopted a bit of the malice look in their faces primarily. And yeah, you can just mount Lynels and it doesn't degrade your weapons.

Got my brand new headset, and the beats are GORGEOUS! So hyped about the release.
I kind of wish the new armor had some new buffs, they look great but we already have 2 sets that grant night speed bonus, 2 head pieces with guardian resist, and 2 attack up sets. Still looks like a good dlc overall

I am in full support of Breath of the Wild: Audrey Mode. Eventide Island was the most memorable trial, so I can't wait to try the Trial of the Sword.
Please don't tell that we have to find all those 900 seeds once again, for those who already completed all 900 koroks in normal mode. That would be too much.
N Srp You don't have to do anything, but master mode is a new game so you'll have none of your progress from the other game.
I know that collectibles are always optional, but what i don't really understand is why they come up with this kind of new game solution. TBH, 2 rounds of 1,800 seeds total is a little insane even for the completionist. I know my voice is little and doesn't matter much, if not at all, but If you just want to bump up the difficulty, why not New Game +.
They should make a DLC where you play as link before the fall of hyrule. It could revolve around Link's journey to become a champion and getting the master sword. It could end with the final boss as ganon but have link lose in the end, thus being essentially a prequel to the actual game.

They seem to be teasing just that but my only gripe with the game is having everything destroyed and wanting to experience this version of Hyrule before everything was destroyed. It sounds so much more interesting than playing through a Hyrule where everything is destroyed and not nearly as populated. I would so play a prequel version of this game!
I'm glad that they had that woman play the way that she did. I am not the best in the game so when I heard about the Trial of the Sword and the Master Mode I was sure I wasn't going to try it. But seeing how it is and how much better I could do than her makes me hype even more for this first DLC! Plus if this was someone like some of the KZheadrs who are pro's at killing Lynels doing this presentation It might deter me becasue they are sooo good.

If thet managed to make that balanced (Master Sword timer or something) that would make trying to loot much easier, they probably didn't do it because they didn't want to make clothing bonuses too extreme.
The Anonymous Gamer It's the mask of a deity, they could atleast make it match the lore. A timer would make perfect sense, and they could make it debuff in hard mode

First thing I am doing the second this dlc comes out is going into to master mode and destroying a gold lynel.
if gold lynel doesnt have any upgraded weapons and moves i will be sad. also i would like to see al the guardians getting harder to kill as well ( which i don't see it being mentioned any where).

Can't wait for this. I've been playing 3D Zelda games for over a decade, so I easily mastered the basic combat in this game within a few hours. The added challenge will be more than welcome. Although I am worried that most of the added challenge will be enemies having more health and dealing more damage, as opposed to giving them new behaviour and attacks. Hopefully they've thrown in stuff like that to make it more interesting.
Well the different tiered enemies have separate AI at least I guess, like the higher level bokoblins are more aware of their surroundings and tactics used against them; If you throw a bomb at them, they'll kick it back at you for example. I agree though, I hope Nintendo fleshed this out a little.
Yeah, I did notice little things like that, and they're super cool to see for the first time. I think the dream would be seeing a Bokoblin cut down a tree on purpose to try and hit me with it :P
Hahaha i'm not sure just how well they can be programmed :P I just find them cute to be honest, makes me laugh when they try and attack me. I do hope in a future iteration of this game that we see more enemy types, I love the direction BOTW has taken but enemy types are lacking, by that I mean challenging enemy types I suppose, definitely a lot of room for a major improvement in a potential sequel of sorts.
I totally agree, BotW was a great game but could've been made a lot better with things like more enemy variety. Maybe the Champions' Ballad DLC will add in new enemies! It's possible I suppose.
That's what I was thinking! Definitely possible, I think the Champions' Ballad might be more akin to Majoras mask (Maybe not quite as rich in scope though due to time constraints), a side project completed in less than a year that builds on what the original offered. Nintendo are really good with DLC offerings, so I have faith in them.
