  • I'm very happy they went with a more cartoony, stylized look for the game instead of realistic. It'll really help the game from dating, unlike most open world games.

    • I agree. A lot of my friends keep complaining about the graphics, but this is exactly how I want Zelda to look.

    • +General Shitbird Supreme a realistic gritty game on the WiiU would probably look pretty bad anyway!

    • Amanda Miller I think people underestimate what it can do graphically, but regardless, thats not what I want out of a Zelda game.

      @cROSSingth3RUBICon@cROSSingth3RUBICon8 жыл бұрын
    • +General Shitbird Supreme it's majorly underestimated, but yeah this art style is beautiful. and what you're seeing is not exactly easy to run. The vegetation has physics, it's very detailed, the ground is detailed, the lighting is phenomenal. The rocks aren't very detailed and the draw distance is not that great. Those are about the only two things that this game compromises on. overall it's beautiful and not something the ps3 could have handled

      @Vector3Gaming@Vector3Gaming8 жыл бұрын
    • Me and my brother have always thought that the legend of zelda would prefer to have the game "E" rated for everyone instead of anything higher, probably to have the game available for more people in some way. Because you know, for example Twilight Princess is rated "T" cuz of the graphics, so cartoon-ish graphics means E rated... most of the time, and E rated= more people... just my opinion, btw I apologize for my english....

Technically, Groose was the first to name it, and he named it Grooseland, so there you go. Morshu is the Old Man of Grooseland, under the great King of Grooseland, Groose.

Go outside the Shrine for breathtaking overworld sights (You are nearly crying now) 3. Talk to an Old Man in a cave with a bonfire, (First Zelda fans cry) 4. Discover a Korok (Wind Waker fans cry) 5. It's time for a new spin on the formula and I think that this is a great way to do it. I personally always wanted a Zelda game that was more open and free, I want to explore and make my own adventure.

    • Exactly why a majority of Zelda fans did not think Triforce Heroes as a "real" Zelda game. What is a "real" Zelda game?!!?! Every Zelda brings a new spin to the table! ALttP brought different environments, better sounds, introduced more advanced items, and more! Were they all mad about a different and unique game? how about Ocarina of Time, which brought the Zelda series to the 3D world and was VERY different from the 4 games before it? • +Chris Gousse ok Hyrule Warriors and Triforce heroes were real games. But they weren't real Zelda games. It's like an anime made from a manga that has a filler season where the characters don't affect the over arching plot or storyline across games. They both were certainly enjoyable, fun, innovative games. But we want a main storyline game. From the looks of it, Breath of the Wind is trying to fulfill that wish while still being innovative and different.

    • I've really only played the first game and Twilight Princess. While TP was a great game, I wasn't really tempted to buy more Zelda games because I was feeling like it's all just one big continuation on itself. The different mechanics in this game are probably what is going to make me want to buy it (as a non-hardcore Zelda fan)

For Zelda fans it's almost 5 years of wait to see Breath of the Wild 2. For me, it took 19 years to see Breath of the Wild for the very first time. THE DEFINITIVE MASTER PIECE... At least for me, there is no other above it, because of it's gameplay style and revolutionary system from previous ones. Thank you so much for making this possible. I own all three systems every single generation, and as someone that is excited for a LOT of the games shown this year, not a single one comes close to how excited I am for the new Zelda. The Wii U really isn't that great, I'm sorry :/ There are games that have come out where I have contemplated getting a Wii U, but then I would play some of the game at a friend's house and then it turns out the games sucked (Sonic Lost World and Star Fox Zero just to name a couple) and so there's not a whole lot of motivation to really get it. Even Zelda Breath of Life won't be exclusive to the Wii U, so unless you already have a Wii U, it is completely pointless to buy a system just for that one game that will be released in the new console anyway.

In this game, looks like they'll be focusing on the inventions of the Sheikah people that have been corrupted or are waking up after being inactive for a long time.

      @MiguelGomez-nb9yn@MiguelGomez-nb9yn8 жыл бұрын
    • @Miguel: "Why? It has been done before." Honestly, that sums up my overall feelings on why I don't understand why everyone's so hyped for this game. Everything that we have seen in this game has already been done years ago by multiple other games. This new Zelda game really isn't introducing anything new at all, at least not to gaming as a whole. Everyone always misunderstands me and thinks that I'm saying the game looks like crap (or at least I assume they do. Why anyone would yell and get overly angry at someone just because they're not impressed by a game is beyond me), but I'm not saying the game looks terrible. It's just really not all that impressive. Hoenstly, if this game wasn't a Zelda game and it was by some no-name company, but it was still the exact same game, nobody would've cared. I think people are more excited about the idea of Zelda breaking its own formula (which, don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are too, but I'm not hyping up a storm like it's the greatest thing ever)

      @C4DNerd@C4DNerd8 жыл бұрын
    • You're right, if this was done by some obscure game developer, no one would really care because all of this has been done before. The reason people are excited is because the restrictions of previous LoZ games have been removed. It's not the features that we're excited about but that these capabilities are being applied to the already established lore and story of the LoZ franchise. The hype stems from the fact that we'll be getting a Zelda game that allows us to do everything we've always wanted to do in Zelda, whether that'd be to truly explore rather than travel pre-planned routes, to truly upgrade yourself through clothes and weapons, or simply to jump.

      @becauseimincredible@becauseimincredible8 жыл бұрын
    • C4DNerd Imagine, if you will, an open world Pokemon game. It would be appreciated not for allowing players to run and jump but for allowing players to do so in the Pokemon universe. We're not excited about being able to run, and jump, and climb, but about being able to jump off of Death Mountain, being able to climb up the cliffs by Lake Hylia, having these freedoms within the Zeldaverse

      @becauseimincredible@becauseimincredible8 жыл бұрын

  • Maybe I've just drunk too much of the Kool-Aid, but this is the first non-Bethesda open world I've seen that feels like a truly open expanse that can just be explored at the player's leisure. Actually, now that I think about it, Xenoblade X, another Nintendo exclusive has been able to capture that feeling pretty well. #wiiumasterrace Seriously though, this console generation has been really boring. If you have a halfway decent PC, the WiiU is the only console you really need.

    • Sad thing is that they already are whining. Already the complaints of Nintendo "rejecting the Zelda formula" and other such crap like that. Really sad.

      @MrSentinel07@MrSentinel078 жыл бұрын
    • People who say this game is "rejecting" the Zelda formula have obviously never played a Zelda game older than Ocarina of Time. This game is so Zelda 1 in its concept, mechanic, layout and build it's crazy.

    • There are different sections of the fanbase who prefer different games to others. This game will probably appealing to those who like the original game, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, or A Link Between Worlds. Those who prefer the more linear games probably are shaking their heads in frustration at this. Having said that, everything we've seen from this game makes me believe it will break the "Zelda Cycle" once and for all. Skyward Sword is just legit lame in comparison to this.

      @sonicxsentium8991@sonicxsentium89918 жыл бұрын
    • I think breaking the Zelda formula is pretty refreshing. Lets be honest, the Zelda formula was great, super exciting... back in the days. But looking at rival games, and their use of freedom, it has become very old and many of the features of the formula now simply turn into restrictions to freedom, for new and old generations of players. It always bothered me, that link for example, can't climb a tree, or a rock. He can do amazing unbelievable things, is practically a child of the woods, but can't even climb a tree? Same goes for jumping. There are so may adventure and action games these days that feature jumping (thinking Uncharted for example) but Link still can't jump on his own without a hill/step nearby? So you see it's really frustrating.
