I was a fat kid in the 60's, which was bad enough as it made me a bully-magnet. What made it worse is that my clothes came from a separate department called "CHUBBIES". Really. In big fat letters over my head, as I was supposed to choose between truly horrible styles that look good on no one, as store clerks made rude remarks. I was shamed into a lifetime of anorexia and bulimia so I wouldn't be a "chonk". Fat boys got a much nicer label for their clothes, they're "husky". Makes it sound manly.
