Why isn't anyone talking about how Matt Damon nailed Chris Hemsworth and Matthew McConaughey?
Chris Hemsworth one was perfect. He's just all smiles and humble and kind and makes some joke about himself with a little grin and wink afterwards.

I usually dont't like when celebs come on these sketches to play themselves but when emma stone had that line about being able to play "a convincing half asian woman" it KILLED me. I love when people are able to poke fun at huge failures and career flops like that without getting overly bitter

But Heidi basically is Kristen Schaal... it's not that brilliant, she just has to act like herself. When she got hired on to SNL I had to do a double-take and realize they were two different people. Heidi is WAY less funny, unfortunately. She doesn't even do a great Kristen Schaal impression.

Idk i think what makes this work in a funny way is when their impressions do something unrelated to movie they're auditioning for. And i think the most perfect is the Chris Tucker audition; like he is literally dressed in the costume for the other movie, The Fifth Element; And not to mention the line he auditions with: which is literally a reference to yet another movie, rush hour. It's likely genius shit
And the Joey Lawrence is funny. And the Keenan's Sinbad is always funny, but the triceratops jokes is likely genius.

I always admire the boldness, talent, and humanity of impressionists, and the celebrities who can laugh at themselves. These are all great.
