  • I got the opportunity to meet Bill Hader once. I told him that this was one of my all time favorite SNL skits and asked him, had the skit gone on longer, who he thought Niall would have picked as the winner. In an Irish accent, he answered, "My cousin obviously." I said, "Which one?" He simply grinned and said, "Exactly." Respect.

    • @@adgato75 I don't know, it seems possible to me that "The Dating Game" made it easier for him or her to see than we thought so that they'd end-up with the dates they actually wanted. Then again, Harlan Ellison was a contestant once, and when he wrote about it he didn't mention anything like that, and he would have jumped at the chance. (When asked where he'd take his date on a first date, his answer ended with their going to the City Dump to shoot rats. He didn't get picked, for some reason.)

    • Actually, I'll take it further. The point is to find the uncanny valley of an accent that's not perfect, but close enough to be funny, preferably exaggerated.
