Please don’t ever change, Tina. Despite her incredible success, she still has the same wit, brains, down to earth personality and of course sense of humor. Unless she fakes it unbelievably well, she doesn’t seem to have become too Hollywood-ized, and I love her for that. Fan for life!!

I'm 53. Over the past 4 years, I used to be stuck, frantically trying to still be the 38 year old that I was. My 30 year old son told me, "Mom, be grateful for the life you had at 38. Do know, though, that the 38 year old 'you' is gone - she will never be again. Look forward to the better days and months and years that you still have. Embrace the new you, Mom, and everything will take care of itself. "

We all love Oprah, but I believe this statement is why this hour was so hard to watch. Oprah couldn't lean in enough to try and draw out some joy. I hope Tina finds hope. I have a heavy heart for her.

Tina! Oprah saved me back in the 80’s from domestic abuse!! Her shows and guests gave me the courage to leave and start a new life ♥️ I have always wanted to meet Oprah to share that w her. But I don’t want that to be my legacy. I want more for my life and I’m working on that. Then I hope to meet Oprah to share with her ♥️

Tina, when you said "I'm dead inside, Oprah," I believe I felt your pain and discomfort in finding yourself at the present time. You are so much more and so much peace awaits your acceptance. Only love for you. Hang in there. You mentioned take time to be skinny once. You're not retired; now take time to be a little more idle, searching, listening ... you got this.

These are amazing. Gaga seemed a bit off though but I so miss Oprah and her opening our minds and hearts
Simon...slightly. I thought the same thing but my amateur thinking is when you do comedy or write comedy, you’re constantly looking for comedy in most any given situation (I mean this within reason...not about sick children or a traumatic situation in any given part of the world, for example) but perhaps in what we might all define as the norm of everyday life...so to be asked serious questions, basically calls for serious answers and can take more in-depth thought as opposed to an off-the-cuff comical answer. I’m only guesstimating, but maybe I’m not too far off on the thought process of Tina; however, it seemed that Oprah was slightly the struggling, uncomfortable one. Tina is seemingly a very well grounded person...tries not to take life too seriously, yet knows how to be serious. In any case, I really like her. She’s genius at what she does and would be amiss if I didn’t acknowledge how much she and Amy are magical comedian partners in crime, IMO, and can’t wait to see them host the next Golden Globes.

Awesome, I too am 50 this year, not til December and only have 16 days of the year to embrace it before the new year and consider the reality of being 51! Every year I feel the pressure to consolidate what each year, each age has been. I am none the less excited.

I loved this interview. The only thing I would add is that we need to develop more awareness about how "we treat beautiful people differently". Being beautiful can also expose the person to being bullied to a point where it affects them for years. I've seen my daughter being treated in very aggressive ways from her peer just because she is both beautiful and very intelligent. It got to a point where people would invent rumors and create groups about her on social medias. In our society we do not talk about that angle at all. People assume that because you are beautiful, you have everything and you can take any mean or sexual inappropriate behavior. Please remember that behind the beauty there is still a sensitive being.

Tina was born in 1970; that's when I first started on WW. I was 7, and they didn't have a program for children, so it was just me and a bunch of housewives (and the occasional guy) at the meetings. And WW required you to eat liver once a week. I didn't keep the weight off, but I learned to love liver.
