  • Brilliant stuff. It's the bits that you have left in, that others leave out, that make all the difference. The views looking down a wave as you paddle out, glimpsing other surfers, miles away at the bottom of the wave, behind you, that allow us to partly gauge the emmence waves that you are surfing. Excellent work. I really enjoyed it. Thanks from Porthtowan, England.

Started in 1966 at a time when it was crowded with 5 guys out. Longboarder from day one. A sort board to me is 9' I loved sitting outside waiting for the clean up sets. Pipe, Teahupo'o, Pe'ahi, sailing with your bro, foiling, you're really about laughing & smiling. Priceless! How about "Keep up the smile" or simply "Keep Smiling" as a tag phrase? 'Cos everything you publish is just shining with you smile & laughing. I'm older. When I was surfing (grew up in Tahiti), it was like "Take off and Die" or "More Core Division". But what you put out there is just about enjoying the stuff, and spreading the Aloha. And it's just refreshing, actually. Keep Smiling & charging hard!

You seem like a bro that carries a humble attitude and can get along with anyone. Ive been told the same by my peers. I then noticed that you were born on June 10rh . Same as me. Shaka!!. My favorite clip to watch is the late chopes take off and succeeding to get the insane barrel of your life. I can't believe someone can take off after the wave is already tubing. I mean that wave was literally sucking up and starting to throw and somehow you got under that thing and just willed it to not only survive but blow my mind . Your a sick human budy, keep shredding so stoked to watch your videos.

    • Don’t ever stop celebrating your head dips brother. I remember when I started surfing, progressing was like a major accomplishment in my life. I loved the sport so much and I loved watching the amount of time I spent in the water, turn into something I could be proud of. I gave up my job and surfed 6 hours a day everyday ( unless flat ). It didn’t work out as I wasn’t good enough to get to the next level, but I loved it so much,. I always shared waves, was polite and even had 2 sponsors. I really just miss watching myself get better. It’s something to cherish 😊

  • The amazing Nathan Florence. As exciting as the rides were, shots of maneuvering around the line up on at a big wave spot induces that slight tightening in the stomach and slightly sweaty palms. Another great Nathan Florence vid.

  • How does his vest work? Does it stay inflated after the first use or does it get deflated and then he inserts another Co2 canister ? If so where does he keep all the cannisters ?

  • Videos like this make me believe that this gotta be the best sport of all. Sadly never had the chance to learn it (and never was a swimmer good enough to dare). Now too old. Closest experience ever was on a boogie board at a beach in San Diego that had (for my taste) pretty respectable waves. And then I was caught between three 'monster waves' which I keep telling people were 10ft, but most likely in reality 6ft max, and I nearly drowned, and had the joy of being pushed along the ground with rocks the the size of my head left and right. So: when I see you guys doing this and in a great unedited video like this, I can't even express the respect I have for you. You made the right choice, this is an awesome sport!
