How to install a 2 inch (50mm) suspension lift install on a Mitsubishi Pajero NS.
Comparison of heights before and after the suspension lift.
The lift I used was a 2" lift kit with :
- Lovells CRR-91HD rear springs
- Lovells CFR-90H front springs
- Durashock all around (Lovells series 2 gas legend)
Intro: (0:00)
Pre-lift tests: (1:20)
Rear removal: (2:21)
Rear install: (4:45)
Front removal: (7:20)
Front install: (9:16)
Final heights: (11:33)
I did mine at the front with spacers on top, 2inch lift achieved with no acute angles on CVs. On the rear i found the longer springs tend to pull the wheel forward so it's not sitting centre in the arch which irritated me, so old springs back, I loosened the complete rear subframe and spaced it, excellent outcome wheel in centre and normal wheel travel, CV angle normal, still good after 8 years. With Maxxis mud terrains and back A Line wheels it still look the part, had to change the tyres recently with the same. A lot of road noise, but which i like. 😂😂
Good vid, just did my rears. Your tip about unbolt the lower bolt was a game changer. Guys that sold it said "just unbolt the shock, it will hang low.." 😂
Followed your guide today and it worked great, did it with my son who is a Toyota mechanic, he liked the ratchet strap hack! I'll be using your intake manifold guide soon - Cheers!
Excellent work. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much for the video, i'm planing on doing the same lift to mine.
Great job mate. Nice practical video with all the bits we need and no fluffing about:)
Followed your video and did my suspension upgrade today! Thank you so much!
You are a Legend mate. Great video
Great Vid. Easy to understand, heaps of watch out for this hints and the editing to speedup some of the simple work was spot on. Thanks
great video. Thanks for sharing. Keep the helpful videos coming.
You did a amazing job explaining everything you did. Thank you very much.
Top job mate appreciate you taking the time to post.
Super detail! Nice one!
Thats gonna be a comfy ride now.
Good job buddy of a video, straight forward and details.thank you
Great work the ripped shirt arm reminded me of the hulk. Excellent video with clear instructions. Thanks for putting in the effort to make such a detailed video showing how it can be done at home.
Nice vid mate. Wasn’t looking forward to doing rear springs at home but turns out there pretty easy. 🍻
Thanks, will use your tutorial to fit my own Tough Dogs which are arriving. Ordering some pollytuff spring seats too. Thanks a bunch mate !
Good job man!
Really thorough video mate 👍
Cheers for the video mate just did mine and this was super helpful
do you have to do a wheel alignment afterwards? do you know the bolt torque specs on the suspension or do you only need to crank it down?
Very nice and easy to understand video!! Congrats!

nice diy suspension, great diy job, cool video. keep it up. good content all the best
Great video mate 👍
Great video! Did you have to check the wheel alignment for track and camber after? This might change right?
You do a good jod man 🤘🏼🇹🇱
Nice one mate. I definitely recommend it having kids around while doing this. 😂😂😂
ThNks for that. I’ll have a crack at mine now 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Looks great! Sits up high..
Thank you! Please upload more pajero videos
Great job - Even better video!.... When can I bring my NX 2018 around??? ha,ha,ha
Great well made video mate!!!! Done my lift today thanks to you!!!! It’s been sitting there for months and I was going to send it to the mech...
where did you buy the kit please?
@@bashar.abdall7767 eBay my friend....
How does the ride feel now onroad after the lift? I have a NS and the ride seems really harsh over even small bumps on the road.
Thanks, interested on your review of the ride quality.
@@E.Vancina88 which kit for you install?
Good video. 2 things please:1-at 4.37 , what did you do with this two bolts? 2-upper front arm had 2 bolt, what is the right way to reinstal this item? Thanks from italy
Hi. I just bought one . I love it
Awesome, thanks for sharing. I'm considering doing the same lift so this was very helpful.
you lose wheel travel & it puts more strain on cv.s. waste of money. plus, watch the brake lines. start with bigger, decent a/t tires. then, buy a real 4x4..
Great video dude! And very helpful!! Your Lovels springs its the Heavy duty?
Thanks for the video. I am not sure wich shocks you install and how you deal regarding whell alignment.
Very good demo. I think it.s better if there is another person
Classic⭐️🌹
Great video, just noticed how low you have your awning mounted is it mounted just to the stock pajero roof rails or is it mounted to your basket
Dont need ratchet strap for rear lower control arm when aligning bolt, just push it over with your foot when jacking up to keep it aligned.
good job mate. need to drop them CVs & rear differentials to prolong the drive shaft's life time, or better yet..solid axle
Great Video, Looks to purchase a similar kit. How would you rate the Durashock shock absorbers?
Doing both sides simultaneously front, then you don't need to disconnect the swaybar because the other side isn't keeping it higher up and is giving away on both sides ;) But yeah, your way is the correct way. Nice video.
Any tips for getting the top 3 bolts on the front shock/spring combo aligned with the bottom bolt that mounts the shock?
Bloody fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing, makes the job easier knowing the details! Cheers!
Nice! any recommendations for a 96' Montero? lift wise
Cheers mate. Great job there. Very clear & helpful. How far out of alignment/ camber did it end up being front & back? Can ya do a vid on your rock sliders, dimensions etc? They look great.👍
It was only out of spec a little bit, but I have no idea what it was before the lift... I got my front toe aligned. The rest of the alignment bolts are seized in. One day I'll cut them out and get a full alignment.... The car drives good even with slight out of spec alignment but I'm sure tyre wear is increased. Pre-alignment values after lift: Rear-left: Toe +3mm, Camber - 0° 04' Rear-right: Toe -5mm, Camber + 0° 56' Front-left: Toe +6.9mm, Camber - 0° 41', Caster + 1° 39' Front-right: Toe +7.3mm, Camber + 0° 11', Caster + 2° 01' I didn't film much of the rock sliders but maybe I should have!
How do you find the ride quality onroad now with the lift kit? Is the harshness still there?
hello, because the rear wheel was out of alignment with the body, it looks like it was further forward.
Is the whole suspension set up pretty similar in the mk 3?
Hi, how did you tighten the lower shock nut while wheel on the ground, couldn't you simulate wheel on ground via jack point(like when changing wheel/same height/weight on ground!?).
כשיש סכל העבודה כלה ,👍👏👌
I really like your shirt, where did you get it from?
So if I change the springs for a lift I also need to change the control arms? What else do I need to change?
Thanks for the video, very nicely done. How have you found the Durashocks? I've got an NT Pajero and I'm going to install a lift kit but debating whether to go for Bilsteins or the Durashock. The Durashock / lovell combo works out about $500 cheaper, most people rave about Bilsteins but I've heard the durashocks aren't too bad either.
Thanks. The durashocks seem fine to me so far. I don't plan on doing long drives on corrugations so the smaller bore compared to the bilsteins didn't bother me, especially with the $500 or so difference to the bilsteins!
@@dizza90 thanks mate. Sounds very similar to my usage of the pajero. Glad you're happy with the durashocks, will grab these and save myself some $$'s.
I'm interested to know if you have you found any vibration or CV related issues on the rear since doing the lift? I did a 2" lift on my Pajero and have since had a few vibes at certain speeds. I have new tyres with alignment. I also tried changing to GSP rear CV's but these had a bad knocking so I have reverted back to the original CVs.
I did mine few months ago and did not experience that. get a mechanic to check through
Which Lovells springs part number did you use??
👏👏👏👏
please where did you buy this kit? please give me a link?
Did u end up putting bigger tyres on
Really awesome mate. I’m inspired to do it by myself. It’s $440 labour if shop will install it for me
DIY. It's more fun!
@@dizza90 would of been cheaper, better,to buy decent, bigger, a/t tires,, lifting that you lose travel, plus harder ride,& cv,s dont last as long. pointless basically..any thing with 2 diffs & 35,s is worlds better, & bigger. look up ford f250 1977 high boy,,2 ft, to the sill,STD. or dodge power wagon, chevy cucv. all these vehicles need is a front locker, job done..no tech,,no worries..if that air compressor vid is yours,,look up smitty built power tank... i have a 300 lt air comp., with 3 , 19 lt tanks.[ used fire extinguishers. ], takes 3 mins do 4 , 35 ", tires..
How do you find the heavy duty springs, do you think the medium springs may also be a good option?
the HD springs are a little rough when unloaded. but are good when the car has some things loaded in the back
Hi, mate I love your videos and can you tell me where were you buy your 2 inch lift kit from if it is possible? You know that I bought the tough dog 2 inch lift kit but it only lift up 20mm. I am unhappy with that. You got a good one. Thanks

Hi mate can you please give a link where i can buy those rear springs seats? Gonna install my lift kit in two weeks but I haven’t buy those seats. Thanks
I think this is where they came from - www.4wddirect.com.au/pajero-nm-np-ns-nt-nw-nx-2000-on
Жаль что рама и мост исчезли у Паджеро! Good job man! 👍💪
Hey mate, excellent video for us beginners, i just moved to Africa from the Uk and have the same truck, road are very bad here, is the way you send me a link where i order this lift kit? Thank you
I got mine here www.4wddirect.com.au/pajero-nm-np-ns-nt-nw-nx-2000-on

Did you have a wheel alignment done after fitting the lift ?
I should... but I haven't yet. My alignment bolts are seized in so I have to cut them out before I take it in for the wheel alignment.
Where'd you get your rock sliders from chief?
I made them myself just using 40x40x3mm SHS steel and 50x5mm steel plate
Hi mate why does battery and the air box have to be removed and how long did you take to complete ? Thanks a lot
You made that look far too easy. I tried to do mine but failed miserably. I just couldn’t get the new rear springs in, no matter how far down I got the lower arm.
Not really sure why the rear LCA wasn't going up? Maybe because there's a spring rated for thousands of pounds pressing it down? Haha
Bought the same set from them, wouldn't buy off them again
Wish I found this video before I got the mechanic to do it
how much extra did your mechanic charge?
2:07 Why are they only 2 stars?
I say they should be 5 stars!
@@dizza90 Yeah! Maybe the guy who bought it is inexperienced or just doesn't know how to do it
Cost?
Says in the video... $1164 AUD delivered with all spring seats
Faut changer tes roue
.
Get a proper bullbar!! Another thing if you use lift kit on a Pajero you better learn how to change bearings on your CV's otherwise you are up for a fortune.

Excellent work. Thanks for sharing!
