On the Mitsubishi, If the diesel is like the gas version, the slightest touch of the accelerator goes from idle to lead foot in a Fraction of an inch. I think they do that to make it seem more responsive, they make the accelerator pedal pedal very touchy.

I have Pajero IV, and for sure, it can go that route much easier. Just trust in your car, fix 1st gear, and let it go. Playing with accelerator like only hurts gearbox. Articulation of Pajero rear wheels is about 40cm (1 wheel squeezed and opposite one dropped down).
I also have the Pajero 4, 17MY. Its diesel engine is great with its big torque. Some people say that the diesel engine is noisy. But the noisy sound makes me feel I am driving a strong 4*4 vehicle

Ну мне показалось что они по разным путям ехали, у паджерика посложнее препятствие были ,да и водитель не тот. А так было бы очень интересно сравнить по одной и той же дороги и один водитель. Предлагаю повторить
А ещё водитель Паджеро постоянно нажимал и бросал газ, не понятно для чего нужны были такие действия.

The Pajero driver is psychotic-schizophrenic. That's your problem there. Try using a driver in control of their own foot and it'll work out better.

Both very capable trucks, but not a good comparo because the actually took slightly different lines... I wish they took the exact same line so we could factor out driver skill.

The prado looks it had a lift. Not fair to compare to a standard Panero

In this video the Pajero rely on the traction control (rear differential lock was not activated). But on the land cruiser prado the diff lock is activated from the begining that's why it runing smoother on this rocky track.
Mohamed Gaaloul bullshit! I’m an owner of a standard Prado 120 series and it never came with lockers. a rear locker only comes since the 150 series replaced the 120 series. The reasons why the Prado is more capable are: 1. A ladder frame (body on frame) as an opposed to the Pajero which has a monocoque frame. 2. Longer wheel travel in the Prado.
True. I also noticed that it has a superior wheel travel as opposed to the pajero.
I think that the prado is also more comfortable because of its wheel travel
@@eden4x4 equipment depends on the market. In my country the 120 series are equipped with rear diff lock.
@@eden4x4 bullshit!! there is no relationship between monocoque body and suspension travel !! A monocoque body can get a suspension with a massive wheel travel and provides the same level of off-roading capacity as a ladder frame. Actually on the Pajero the suspension travel are mainly limited by shock absorbers in order to get better stability on road and highways. We just replaced the shock absorbers on the Pajero 3 by the LC 200 ones. They fit direcly on the Pajero and the wheel travel gain was huge!!

Pajero driver can't drive. Base on the way he's using the throttle he needs to stay in the city. I think a Camry would be the ideal vehicle for him.

Может прадо как внедорожник и превосходит паджа, но на видео ехали по разной траектории, более легкой для прадо, и в разном стиле. Водитель прадо старался как можно проще проехать, а водила паджа - не проехать, а показать возможности машины, стараясь ее засадить. Отсюда и разное впечатление.
если он старался, то это плохо получалось. Надо было сразу через трубы махнуть. Шутка конечно. Паджеро осторожничал, потому что свесы и клиренс были на флажке, еще немного и он бы задел. А еще у Паджеро ходы подвески мизерные. Тойота-Паджеро 1:0 однозначно.
У прадо больше ходы подвески за счет моста сзади атак особой разницы нет
У прадо ходы подвески точно больше, но не только сзади но и спереди. Но пыж лучше рулится... думаю в угоду управляемости поджали, причина больше в этом, чем в мосту...

Такое ощущение, что если бы рядом в двух метрах проходила асфальтированная дорога, то прадик поехал бы по ней, показав как он классно проезжает в сравнении с Паджеро. Не показательное сравнение!!!!!
Ну как то же он доехал за Паджериком, чай не по воздуху прилетел. Прадо отличная машина в умелых руках, Паджеро тут просто не в те руки попал, не открыли весь потенциал.

Прадик то, лифтованный. 4-5 см как минимум лифт стоит
2 reasons why the Land Cruiser Prado is more capable: 1. It has a body on frame/ladder frame so it has more flex than the monocoque frame of the Pajero. 2. It has a longer wheel travel than the Pajero.
It does not matter if the car has frame or it's monocoque. It's the suspension that played the main role here.

How to recognize an amateur/bad driver? Doesn't have two hands on the wheel and doesn't have the strength to keep the pedal pushed for longer than halve a second.
Видно задний мост Прадика не дает вывешиваться колесам, и сохраняет более плотный контакт колес с камнями и щебнем. Но Паджерик даже раньше вывешиваясь но благодаря блокам и умной электронике дает почти ту же проходимость что и у Прадо но при этом на трассе в управлении Паджер более легковой.
у Паджеро ходы подвески очень малы, тут без блокировок ну никак нельзя. Это костыль, которым заменили нормальную подвеску

I think Pajero was manual so even a Cruiser manual would be slight difficult to drive as automatic performs best on offroad. This is a fact.

This is not pedal modulation. The pajero goes in 1rst gear(manual trans), low range and idle for sure. It use to happen to me in some situations using diesel and real low range.

Everyone that buys a pajero thinking Mitsubishi winning dakar 7 times is selling point will soon have all the time to reconsider his decision of buying one when he is bogged down in 4 feet of mud while the landcruisers walk on by lol.

@@moineaux9173 not at all... If you pay attention you'll see that both drivers picked different lines what on a start disqualifies this as "vs". Furthermore Pajero driver lacks of: knowledge about his car, "off-road" (" as this isn't off-road) driving skills. With Pajero Traction Control you can drive this track by "hardest" line and not stop on wheel lifts where I've often found this Prado model TC doesn't cope best with wheel lifts. It gains here by better driver and rear solid axle. But twist Prado axles to cross lift wheels and its reputation get ruined. Rear diff-locks changes story - but on both cars.

Forget driver or tyres. The simple easy to see fact is that the pajero has zero wheel travel, it lifts a tyre constantly, it's so sad to see what mitsu have done to this beast.
No downtravel is due the lift :-) Original Pajero suspension can flex quite a lot.

This is not a correct match. Toyota had already put a heavy drive on the four-wheel drive gear and the differential lock had already been activated. But Mitsubishi was only on four-wheel drive, there was no heavy gear, and the differential lock was not active. You are kidding
