My buddy has these, I started playing halo reach with them one day unaware of the haptics. I was blown away by the level of immersion it added. I thought it was just some weird bass tuning but it was a cool effect.
I'm astounded at how bad the mic sounds. You'd think on such a high end product, they'd include a better microphone.
Sadly it's a gaming headset, the majority of the gaming brands don't care about audio quality at all, both for sound and microphone. But misinformed people will still buy it :/
@@youser3 yep
That's why I went with Sennheiser one of the best mics for a headset and sound isn't bad.
You said two things that don't fit together.. Razor and High end... Unless it is fixed to say "Razor is NOT High end"
It's wireless. Simply not enough bandwidth to fit the audio for the drivers and mic over BT. Oh, it also reduces your sound quality while the mic is active for the same reason. That's why you're better off using a wired headset for gaming or a separate mic like ModMic with whatever headphones you'd like.

I bought these a few weeks ago and thehypersense is amazing with the right music. You have to listen to music that is built for bass like electronic and hip hop like linus is saying. If you are listening to anything that isn't designed for bass, you can turn the haptics off. Think of the haptics on the headphones as little subwoofers for your head, because that is what they are. Reminds me of this haptic subwoofer kit you could put in your attic above your theater room and it would shake the walls making the whole room bassy underneath emulating what a high wattage subwoofer would deliver except you wouldn't be able to even hear it outside the house, but a subwoofer you d hear it down the block.

Why do Expensive headsets have worse mics then cheap headsets.
I would imagine that if you can get expensive headphones, you can afford an external mic (for pc ofcourse)
Wireless headsets with mics tend to always fall short. Wired headsets have much better mics.
@@EhoenChoi Yeah, but that defeats the purpose of having a headset (and more in case of wireless headsets). Stage production -quality tiny headset-attached wireless singing microphones exist; where are those goodies combined with decent headphones? :(
*than
I don't know. Gaming headsets tend to be rip offs anyway. You pay 50% for the marketing. I just bought a pair of decent AKG audio headphones with a separate Samson Meteor microphone.
You can make your own "chair rumbler" by simply buying a "bass shaker", hook it up to your sound, and then mount it onto the back of the chair. Works better if you run it through an amp with low pass filter so it only plays the low frequency sounds like the "booms" and "bangs" etc. You can make a mini wrist mounted rumbler for cheap by buying a tiny Ac motor, and mounting that to your wrist with a wrist band or something.

It's interesting to see this idea still getting tossed around. I tried a couple sets of PulseWave V2 headsets from TekNMotion (released late 2010) 7-9 years ago and rather liked the idea. The build quality on those headsets sucked since even a brand new set was half or nonfunctional after just a few months, but while they lasted they really added to gaming, music, and movies, though in a less hit or miss fashion as Razer's headsets seem to have. They were also more compact. Of course one down side to haptic systems in your headset is that, at least for me, they made me more prone to feeling like the hairs in my ears were rattling around. Sure, that's not how things work, but that's the best description for a feeling that leads to an intense sensation of "gotta scratch it" sensation that's like having your ears itch without being itchy. They also left my other headset(s) sounding hollow/muted in comparison. I'm certainly interested in acquiring another headset like that, but I'm certainly not interested in picking up the Razer headset. Spending $200 for plastic when haptic feedback pretty much requires metal and a micro USB connection when I'm tired of micro USB connectors failing after 6 months is just a complete non-starter.
So basically the same thing as skullcandy crushers except its a specified frequency range of bass not just bass overall
What did you notice? Dropped frames in doom? 4:23 Or square shaved patch? 6:35 Or maybe both?

I kind of love the haptic feedback especially for bassy songs it makes you feel involved in the base
I've owned the Nari ultimate headset for about 6 months now. The haptic feedback is a really great experience when playing games, watching movies, or listening to music. I do not find the vibration distracting in way. The microphone leaves A LOT to be desired, and if you're playing with friends, the vibration can make some awful sounds for other people you are talking to. I would recommend a stand alone microphone if you are going to purchase these, but don't let just that be a deal breaker for you. For the price they are going for now (around $130 on amazon), you would not be making a mistake purchasing these.
