Such as optical switches for their mice and analog switches. It would be really cool to see some professional sounding headphones with cooling gel, and of course RGB. But the limits aren't even there as they could even get more ambitious and make a Dock.

      @spacechannelfiver@spacechannelfiver2 жыл бұрын
    • @@spacechannelfiver I'd have to disagree at least for their keyboard department. Most prebuilt 60% keyboards of the same quality hover around the 150$ price line which they've managed to keep themselves roughly in line with. The new analogue switches razer started manufacturing comes from an old hal-effect design and enthusiasts have been trying to get them working in consumer grade boards for ages. hal-effect switches use a different internal mechanism which makes them more precise as well as durable. I cant say much about their other divisions, but their keyboards are no longer the garbage they used to make.

  • I remember years ago... I had a steel series headphone for gaming, quite unremarkable. It broke down after 6 months and i got reimbursed. I ended up buy a Razer Kraken (i think). One hour later, i brought it back because it was so shit... Finally bought a Sennheiser HD 559, best choice i made that year.

  • I am so baffled by the comments saying "Razer should work with crinacle, Razer should consult him on how to make a good audiophile headphone". You guys have to realize that Razer is a multi-billion dollar company, they could hire the best sound engineers there is, not some random audiophile KZheadrs lol. There is a huge difference between professional audio engineer and audiophile youtuber. Professionals create, engineered, tune, research, make stuff. KZheadrs like crinacle and zreviews are just merely normal people with opinions about audio. Razer could spend a lot of its revenue towards a better sounding headphone, but they wouldn't because their generic sounding HPs are selling well. And people are fine with the sound of the current Razer headphones. It just works and looks cool.

    • To be fair crinacle has done a lot of collabs with companies where he tunes iems. Sure he isn't a "professional" but countless audiophile brands only create mid and mediocre stuff(despite presumably being able to get professionals to help out).

  • If you get the chance check the Thresher Ultimates out soon! They're amazing, the Dolby Headphones Tech is pretty good, stereo field is a bit narrow (it blends 100L/R into about 75L/R). The fidelity is insane, absolutely amazing for the price-point (I swear you can hear every individual Hz as it is, as a bit of hyperbole), FR is pretty damn good imo. I use it for production and mixing and they represent the sounds perfectly in terms of fidelity, and it's easy to hear/note that there's a small dip at 3k (though the FR is much flatter using the Dolby Headphones mode), and simply work with it in mind. 8.5/10 headphones imo with no cost comparison and for the price they're a 10.

    • 100%, had to manually FULLY uninstall razer synapse, by following a guide, in order to get my razer products to work again. Razer's software, doesn't work, i even helped them find the problem, which involved giving them potentially compromising information about my computer. Their solution wasn't to fix their own software, because allegedly, they couldn't find a problem... Their solution, was for ME to completely reformat my computer, lmao... if your software requires users to periodically reformat their PC to make sure your software keeps working, then your software doesn't work, it's broken. xD

  • Let me preface this by saying that I am not an audiophile, just a gamer who got lost in the youtube algorithm Anyways, I have razer nari ultimate and honestly I was blown away by the vibrators (haptics). Especially in milsim shooters that I love to play. Feeling the reverb from the tank firing or a machinegun going off or from an explosion (like an artillery barage or something) really elevates the experience. (I keep mine at 30% haptics power for most games, taht way it acts on only the actual loud sounds) It's great for games but I don't think it's meant for music, or whatever you audiophiles listen to (rainforest sounds? I dunno).

  • Wow, you guys are really negative! Damn, and I thought I. was negative. If the worst thing a 'true audiophile' can say about your computer gaming headset is that it's not good and that it's gimmicky haptics has potential, that's a friggin' glowing review to me. I don't buy gaming headphones for the best in sound, because I have literally studio monitors for computer speakers. I need a mic that doesn't pickup everything in the room, a closed back so I can hear the game and not what's going on in the room, and I need software/drivers that work. Also need to wear the headset all day. Though the idea of stuffing insulation behind the drivers to eliminate the reflections of the backwave is intriguing! Razer actually used screws to hold the drivers in. It would be great if Razer really did come out with a high end gaming headset but I don't want them tuned to the typical 'audiophile' preference. This 'negative' review really makes me take the new Kraken more serious despite the gimmicky haptics.
