It’s called “survival of the fittest.” If you’re lazy, unintelligent, refuse to read a book or go to the gym, and have a terrible personality -> you are destined to be single. I worked hard to go to the gym every day at 5AM. I worked hard to become a doctor and make a good salary. I read everyday to keep myself informed and intelligent. I refuse to be shamed for my hard work. I am not a “chad” I’m just a hard worker.

I don't know a book that teaches human communication, but did learn that around blue-collar workers personality, social ability and biological limitations reveal themselves - the team is willing to include anyone who prioritizes results, or social activity. From the simps I met, the poor socialization screamed out to anyone looking, and not pounding on their own chests the common mantras. Hard work rewards, but those who are not properly socially able will be exploited, resulting in the commonly known outcome.

We romanticize depression as a society and accept that we should live in countries with hustle cultures where if one cannot attain women or work ridiculously hours that they should be subject to ridicule. I sincerely hope that changes and that if anyone reads this comment, they no longer judge a man or anyone based on their ability to find a woman or attain a high degree of wealth at such a young age.

Thanks to feminism, lots of women care more about a man’s genetics than his character, leaving many men incompatible no matter how much he self improves. That said, I still believe every man should strive to reach his full potential/purpose - if not for society, then for yourself. Having said that, I don’t recall one instance of positive reinforcement towards masculinity from the media in my nearly thirty years on earth. I do, however, remember plenty of demonization towards men. Is it any wonder why men are opting out of society? Tl;dr - Why should men care about a society that doesn’t care about them??

Monogamy is ultimately the natural state for humans. It makes sense biologically, because children take a huge amount of time and care and to grow into adulthood, so stable couples are much more fit for survival of their children. Harems could potentially fulfill that only if the man has a vast amount of resources already available, and that only was the case, as mentioned before, of kings or the extremely rich. Monogamy also leads to stable societies, what would have happened if in a prehistoric tribe of 100 people, the 10 strongest men would hoard most women to themselves? The other men would refuse to collaborate with the group, compromising the overall survival, or even worse revolt and kill the men at the top (being stronger or the best hunter in the tribe wouldn't save you from a handful of bloodlusted men that are out to get you). Some may call this into question by saying that most men never ended up passing their genes to our times, while most women did. This doesn't actually compromise the claim that monogamy is the default, because infant mortality has always been very high, and men would die young more often than not since they were doing risky jobs and going to war all the time. Women would end up widows while still young and fertile, so they got picked up by other men

  • Aside from the Disneyfication of relationships, I think a lot of it has to do with the overbearing tolerance stuff because I see people constantly encouraged to "drop them, they're toxic, omg girl, you don't need to put up with that." A lot of the time it's not toxicity, it's just normal conflict, and nobody withstands the normal conflict anymore. They use "toxicity" as an excuse to just drop people and not face the hard conversations, and you can't maintain a relationship if you can't have the hard conversations.

    @eyden1562@eyden15622 жыл бұрын
    • It's so funny, right? I know that a lot of people either go to therapy or cope with their problems through the mentality of "everyone else is toxic, drop them". I personally believe there ARE indeed toxic people that are beyond helping and converting into well adjusted individuals. But this culture of "toxicity" in which I doubt, when not outright deny, that any of the therapists or stand-ins for therapists these people have, ever tell this people in the second person "YOU are the toxic one, YOU need to change". It creates a climate where we just discard each other and stroke our own ego. It's never worth it to try to struggle to make things work, because everyone just discards. Nobody is toxic except everyone else. Selfishness is the ultimate goal and we have even come to patholgize altruism with labels like "white knight". Sure, it's not real altruism to do things to get something in exchange, but I do believe that the reason why we pathologize those behaviours (being nice to the other person so that they like you in return, which at worst is just reciprocating a pro-social attitude, i.e. if not romantically, socially, a society should appreciate individuals that help, contribute and do sacrifices) while saying that it's much more normal to be manipulative, aggressive, grab what you want, hurt, hit, cheat... Because at least that's "more honest than doing nice things so others like you". Moral of the story: never, ever help anyone. It's a lot of wasted effort. Did your parents or society or religious morals tell you that you should feel good when you help, that you should feel bad when you don't, that cooperation, collaboration, giving second chances and a mutualism and reciprocity in which you help other people stand back up when they fall, because you would like others to do the same for you...? Well, I've got news for you. You're actually the worst type of person in the world, because your attemp to make the world a better place in hopes that other people will do the same for you is actually very selfish. It's even more selfish than being outright selfish.

Those that married when both were poorer then made money or stayed the same tended to stay together. How can people be so blind, you have everything literally in front of your eyes and still can't see. Monogamy - rich western societies (japan, china, russian too). Polygamy - perpetual wars in middle east and africa. Polygamy forces young men to "conquer" and go to war if they want to have woman literally only way is taking it away from neighbours (other tribes or nations). Think of all the flowers, gifts, jewelry, homes, cars, restaurants, vacations, and the list goes on and on. When men are single they are able to save a lot of money and typically dont spend much unless its on themselves. If men remain single then billions of dollars are not being spent in the general economy. The average man in the pursuit of women can easily spend $10k-$20k a year on women, now times that by millions of men. Economists are freaking out because more men than ever are not dating, and not interested in dating, and that is costing the economy literally billions of dollars.

    • We have to adapt somehow adaptation is possible. Making small moves in the community would give me fulfillment. Doing charity, feeding the orphans, feeding the homeless, keeping the youth away from gangsters and drugs. I do combat sports aswell wrestling and judo so competing and coaching others. If I can coach a youngster and get him into program instead of becoming a drug addict it's worth it. There's no point of being hateful because of your circumstances. I will also be graduating with my second degree so I'm trying to inspire other young men that getting into college is possible. If I can do it anyone can do it.

  • I love your programme...I recently moved to a small college in the US and there is nothing for single males in their 40's -this contributes to the epidemic of loneliness which is now a serious public health issue. This leads to many emotional and mental health issues and can manifest in so many unhealthy ways. Have you ever dealt with this situation in your pod cast discussions?
