One day the weather section will be a real weather report and everyone will freak
these are words spoken by the oracle of the glow cloud. all hail the mighty glow cloud
It's like your listening to BBC news or some muggle news and when it says 'it's time for the weather' your just thinking "Hmm what kind of song will it be?" then suddenly it's about rain and snow and wind, muggle weather!
Knowledge of clouds is illegal in Night Vale. Therefore, only clear skies would allow that... and I'm not sure THEY're legal either.
Let me just check the traffic, okay?
the first 2 or 3 days had weather in the song, such as waiting for the bus in the RAIN.
What if street cleaning day is just a regular cleaning day and the street cleaning people are just like, "WTF is wrong with this town????"

I love how WTNV is sometimes intense and a bit scary, says things that cause you to have an existential crisis, says things that makes you think about life, and then *bird sounds*

The street cleaners are here. I know i wont survive this. They've entered my underground bunker. They were attracted by the beautiful weather being played on my tiny battery powered radio i acquired from Target. I'm hiding under the crawl space underneath the back-up blankets i keep in the bunker's closet as i'm writing this. Tell my family i love them... if any of them survive.

For the first time... Night Vale seems less like a haphazard assemblage of damned souls, and more like a community. A family. It will not last, of course... but as they embrace in the aftermath of this annual culling, for a moment... yes. They are together.

i was cuddling my cat in my bed listening to this and those predatory bird noises made him freak out and i had to hold him close and calm him down until his pupils went back to normal size xD
My cat didn't really freak out. Instead she was all focused on trying to figure out where the hell those noises were coming from. The "shop at target" thing kinda made her jump though.

its always surreal to hear cecil talk about actual shops and/or companies in the sponsors sections but its great because it just adds to the weirdness of this show even more
For some reason I got really freaked out by the predatory birds, but not by anything else this episode; luckily it isn't street cleaning day where I am, as I have also gone on a completely pre-planned holiday with a definite end date.
Also, the weather made me think of Cecilos for some reason...

There are many kinds of terror. But the terror that is upon you is arguably... the worst.
This is one of those things that, if I really pay attention to what's being said, it's really disturbing, but Cecil's voice saying all of these insane and terrifying things so monotone and announcer-y is so hilarious that i'm completely fine with it--

4:45 every once in a while, cecil says smth like "2 weeks ago" or "2 months ago", when the episode in question was only 7 or 9 episodes ago, which reminds me that each episode does not take place one linear, consistent day (or other peridot of time) after the other.
The video randomly paused at 8:04 (without me knowing) so, I ended up not listening to anything for like 5 mins. I really thought it was part of the video. It made me strangely appreciate silence a bit more. Still though, after I checked back on the video, I saw it paused and now I'm just genuinely confused how that worked perfectly 😂

Omg im relistening nightvale and this episode will live with me forever. It's cause the first time I was listening to this episode with my pet bunny and when the random predator bird noises came on he went fuckin feral and I could barely calm him down. The day Cecil Gershwin Palmer gave a panic attack to my bunny will always live in my head rent free 😭😂😂
