  • There are thousands of woodturning videos of people all doing the same thing: woodturning, and probably throwing in some resin, because that's what everybody else is doing. This really stands out because of the jigs you built to facilitate and improve your work, and the original idea you came up it. This video could have been like so many others, and it isn't. Really, really well done.

But I realize now that it's probably the only practical technique to achieve this result. Very creative thinking and dedication to the craft.

    • Pat McVicker Sorry but I simply refuse to let this daft comment go unchallenged! First the fact my comment has 30 likes proves my suggestion of showing off Oliviers bowl turning ‘Masterpiece’ deserved a top venue as opposed to his bed in testament to his bowl turning skills. It’s you who has injected this emotional slant into the mix? A Lovely turned bowl & his beloved cat. And where did his mum pop up from? Why stop there. How about his deceased grandparents? (I hope they’re not btw) I’m consistent too. I’ve said of another multi talented KZhead Bobby ‘duke’ art. That displaying his pieces on his back garden ‘patchy’ grass doesn’t show the work off to its best effect. But hey that’s just the majority who think like that. And for the record I love cats.
