  • This is a work of art but, from a practical perspective in a working kitchen, I would slope the sides to create a solid piece. Having a solid piece with no bearings allows the chef to roll the dough accurately whereas a rolling pin with bearings would merely push the dough. Again, a beautiful work art.

    • I agree with you. Also, there’s a gap between the handles and the face of the rolling pin that would be hard to clean long-term. But I think it’s a beautiful work of art.

    • When I was training as a chef, my friend had a rolling pin like the one in the video. I never understood why she had such a hard time with rolling out dough till I tried using her rolling pin.

      @eman5872@eman58722 жыл бұрын
    • Well it depends on the type of dough you need to roll. For your typical butter cookie dough this type of roller requieres less efort. For croissants on the other end this would be difficult to get an even thin spread.

    • Maybe never rolled dough. At first, I was thinking Kickass Peppermill! when I saw the screw being glued in.- Excellent technique, though- THIS is what you do with scraps,,, Not those cheap videos where they make a useless ugly table or crappy sheetrock screwed up boxes, and call them jewelry boxes. Thanks for the calm.

  • The iron in the rolling pin is superfluous. Glued handles are more practical. The bearings will definitely get clogged with flour... and how to wash them? The drawing is amazing! There are no questions about the drawing! Железо в скалке лишнее. Вклеенные ручки практичнее. Подшипники обязательно забьются мукой… и как мыть? Рисунок восхитительный! К рисунку вопросов нет!
