BF4 weapon customization wasn't as great as people generally think it was. Most of the weapons overlap and many of them share basically the same RoF and damage stats making some weapons simply better than others. For example, L85 is statistically straight upgrade from M416. Attachment customization isn't too great either as most of the weapons have one or two barrel/grip that are actually worth using. "Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" is a great way to describe BF4's weapon customization. BF2042 has lot fewer weapons, but given the fact that it has access to multiple different ammo types it has lot more variety than it looks.

7:06 These are passive radar missiles... The anti air tank can fire those without lock-then wait until they gained max speed and are closer to the target and then start locking on to you so you get hit the instance you hear a missile warning.

In regards to the AA missile question, yes there are active radar missiles that they just have to aim close to you and they lock when they are close. Much less warning

It has vaulting, just not climbing (only obstacles about waist height). Unfortunately the climbing mechanic BF1 and on is much too quick and screwed up the traversal times.

This game is all I've been doing the past week, all day everyday and it is absolutely amazing, time just flies, so immersive. Most of bf4 maps had decent cover for infantry. Also had many more game modes and a proper scoreboard and server browser. Bf4 is superior to 2042 in almost every way.

Jack, keep pumping out bf4 videos and be a voice for the people, for the masses. So that DICE gets the message loud and clear that 2042 isn't battlefield, it's flat out terrible and we won't participate with it nor tolerate another game utilizing this method of play style. Their choice to use the name Battlefield for 2042 is such an embarrassment for themselves and an insult toward all of us. No excuses. When I played 2042 for those two weeks after launch I'd have this underlying anticipation in the back of my mind that a reminiscent battlefield moment would occur, you know the dynamic that makes the REAL franchise so much fun. It was let down after let down after that epic battlefield moment never came.

BF1 was the beginning of the end, obvious the game designers were the first to leave after BF4. The fact that they added 3p reticles and self-repair to all vehicles and made every bullet a tracer were some key things that signified the cognitive shift at DICE. That break in the paradigm is what paved the way for 2042 going completely off the reservation.

BTW Jack, the anti air missiles that instantly hit you are the passive radars on the AA or stealth jet. They can be fire without a lock, allowing them to get really close before you hear the “beep beep beep”. Also as soon as they lock they almost instantly hit. Also flying pow enough will make it impossible for any lock ons to hit you. The flying mechanics in the game are SOOOOO GOOD!!! Jets and Helis have such a high skill floor.

Me and mates used to play COD2019/warzone but since our Xmas gaming sessions were ruined by issues with caldera and MW2019 not working I talked the lads in to trying BF4 on Xbox gamepass at first they didn't like as not as pickup and play as COD but over the last few weeks we on most evenings when our wives goto bed lol and loving it so much so I have deleted warzone

You mentioned full gameplays. I personally would like to watch some livestreams/VODs of BF4. I've heard a lot of people are playing this instead of BF 2042 because it's a modern-day shooter and definitely more stable than 2042 at the moment. Graveyard shift is so nice but often not included in server map rotations. Always felt on this map I can go truly stealth. CS5 sniper with silencer and night vision scope. Chilling in the shadows of the map or sneaking up behind someone.

It’s both amazing and unfortunate that we feel compelled to come back to this game(alongside BF1 and even BF3)all these years later. It shows how well this game holds up, and how good it truly is(especially when you consider the rebound it made)but it also shows how it just hasn’t been the same ever since BF1(The game that came directly after 4, funnily enough) And before anyone tries to bring it up, no, BF4 at launch was not nearly as cursed as 2042’s launch was/is. Idk man, but my bf4 experience at launch was pretty shocking. Admittedly, it had a lot more of the core features and basic features that 2042 is somehow missing, but I'd still say bf4 and 2042 had almost equally terrible launches. That being said, bf4 is crazy good even now, still holding onto the hope that bf2042 has the potential just as bf4 did and can be turned around in the next couple years

This game is still excellent to this day. I wish they had just thrown this game as is into the latest frostbite engine, improved the visuals, updated the maps to fit in the 2042 lore, and released it.

@@anselmbuder I just cant stand the turret stutter in BF4. Look at the turrets when they turn and jitter back and forth, you can't unsee it lol. And the vehicle HUD's are made with paint in 1980s resolution for some reason, while BC2 had nice high resolution HUD's.

They don't look better, the art does, the maps look great because there is objects and things to look at everywhere, from a technical standpoint 2042's fidelity is better yet it looks worse, bf1 smashes them both anyways when it comes to this.

Battlefield 4 is the best game they have made so many memories and years playing it started playing it from Xbox 360-ps4-pc and got lvl 140 on all of them and now I'm back to playing it again after battlefield 2042

Would have been happy with a BF4 remaster after seeing what we got with 2042.
Back when weapons (more than 20) felt three dimensional, and maps were designed for BOTH infantry and vehicles.

BF4 weapon customization wasn't as great as people generally think it was. Most of the weapons overlap and many of them share basically the same RoF and damage stats making some weapons simply better than others. For example, L85 is statistically straight upgrade from M416. Attachment customization isn't too great either as most of the weapons have one or two barrel/grip that are actually worth using. "Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" is a great way to describe BF4's weapon customization. BF2042 has lot fewer weapons, but given the fact that it has access to multiple different ammo types it has lot more variety than it looks.
This is what BF 2042 should`ve been, just with upgraded graphics and mechanics.. Rush and conquest. Everybody would`ve been happy.

starting to realize than I never wanted a new battlefield, I just wanted a bf4 overhaul with new graphics and quality of life fixes. because honestly i think the battlefield formula was at its best at 3 and 4 (bf1 being an exception)
BF1 was it's own thing. Not really comparable to 3 and 4, which are the best battlefield games to date.
Honestly I'd almost rather have bf3 remastered with 64 player servers on console as well. Or even bfbc2, it was older but the gun sounds were the best, and the sniping was amazing

7:06 These are passive radar missiles... The anti air tank can fire those without lock-then wait until they gained max speed and are closer to the target and then start locking on to you so you get hit the instance you hear a missile warning.

In regards to the AA missile question, yes there are active radar missiles that they just have to aim close to you and they lock when they are close. Much less warning
Hadn’t played BF4 in a couple years. 2042 sent me running back to BF4 and BF1 and I’m loving them both.
Still holds up well today, its just missing the climbing/vaulting mechanic.
It has vaulting, just not climbing (only obstacles about waist height). Unfortunately the climbing mechanic BF1 and on is much too quick and screwed up the traversal times.
We should ask dice developer instead of fixing BF2042 just make a update for BF4 for climbing and vaulting. 😁

Battlefield 4 is still, in my IMO, one of the best multiplayer games and the second best Battlefield game I've played. I've only played it quite recently but it's so much fun. Would recommend!

I never played past BF3 and just bought BF4 and am waiting for its arrival. Videos like these make me get excited to finally play what many title as the best BF.
Most of bf4 maps had decent cover for infantry. Also had many more game modes and a proper scoreboard and server browser. Bf4 is superior to 2042 in almost every way.

Well due to technology they couldn't put both the scoreboard and the end game voice lines in 2042. Well worth the tradeoff I think.

Jack, keep pumping out bf4 videos and be a voice for the people, for the masses. So that DICE gets the message loud and clear that 2042 isn't battlefield, it's flat out terrible and we won't participate with it nor tolerate another game utilizing this method of play style. Their choice to use the name Battlefield for 2042 is such an embarrassment for themselves and an insult toward all of us. No excuses. When I played 2042 for those two weeks after launch I'd have this underlying anticipation in the back of my mind that a reminiscent battlefield moment would occur, you know the dynamic that makes the REAL franchise so much fun. It was let down after let down after that epic battlefield moment never came.

BF1 was the beginning of the end, obvious the game designers were the first to leave after BF4. The fact that they added 3p reticles and self-repair to all vehicles and made every bullet a tracer were some key things that signified the cognitive shift at DICE. That break in the paradigm is what paved the way for 2042 going completely off the reservation.

They should've never changed the melee takedown to 3rd person in 2042 (among other things). The first person view was just so satisfying and brutal, especially when you see their tags in your hands.

BF3 holds a special place in my heart but BF4 was such an amazing game, a great next step in the franchise after awesome games like BFBC2 and BF3. I may hop back on BF4 later, it's a game I will keep installed as long as there are people playing even if I don't play it weekly anymore.
It’s amazing how this looks way more interesting than bf2042 out of the box. Dawnbreaker looking way more inline with the proposed distopia from 2042. This game is awesome, such a shame bf2042 didn’t follow this formula and improved upon it.
BTW Jack, the anti air missiles that instantly hit you are the passive radars on the AA or stealth jet. They can be fire without a lock, allowing them to get really close before you hear the “beep beep beep”. Also as soon as they lock they almost instantly hit. Also flying pow enough will make it impossible for any lock ons to hit you. The flying mechanics in the game are SOOOOO GOOD!!! Jets and Helis have such a high skill floor.

Me and mates used to play COD2019/warzone but since our Xmas gaming sessions were ruined by issues with caldera and MW2019 not working I talked the lads in to trying BF4 on Xbox gamepass at first they didn't like as not as pickup and play as COD but over the last few weeks we on most evenings when our wives goto bed lol and loving it so much so I have deleted warzone

No matter what you say, Battlefield 4 is still a great game. Well besides BF3, that game is still to this day a timeless instant classic.
BF4 is largely considered BF 3.5. It brought some decent QoL changes. But in terms of game and map design BF3 still reigns.

When flying mechanics for both helis and jets felt actually really good and maneuverability was extremely high.

I remember browsing through the battlelog scoreboards and statistics after all my friends logged of for the night and found those crazy jet and heli guys. One had like this bull in is platoon logo and had around 390 000 kills with the littlebird. Those were the times

Back when you needed skill to use vehicles, especially Jets and choppers. Only elite players could go a full game without dying and have a large kill streak.

I love so much about bf4 that you can play in your own unique style! You can be tactical, or like a berserk, a sniper… Soo many different weapons, vehicles, gadgets… That’s sooo nice
You mentioned full gameplays. I personally would like to watch some livestreams/VODs of BF4. I've heard a lot of people are playing this instead of BF 2042 because it's a modern-day shooter and definitely more stable than 2042 at the moment. I would especially join the stream or watch the VOD, since I enjoyed this video!

Siege never got its night map but zavod night version is called zavod: graveyard shift.
Graveyard shift is so nice but often not included in server map rotations. Always felt on this map I can go truly stealth. CS5 sniper with silencer and night vision scope. Chilling in the shadows of the map or sneaking up behind someone.

@@anselmbuder I just cant stand the turret stutter in BF4. Look at the turrets when they turn and jitter back and forth, you can't unsee it lol. And the vehicle HUD's are made with paint in 1980s resolution for some reason, while BC2 had nice high resolution HUD's.
Been playing bf4 since 2013 on xbox then i switched to ps a year ago and still growing strong on both consoles bf4 was truly something else
I remember using the mortar and nailing so many... One of the greatest as aspects of BF4.

They don't look better, the art does, the maps look great because there is objects and things to look at everywhere, from a technical standpoint 2042's fidelity is better yet it looks worse, bf1 smashes them both anyways when it comes to this.

having played bf2042 makes bf4 feel like a brand new game again. or to put it in other words, bf2042 really made me appreciate bf4 a lot more than i already did

Battlefield 4 is the best game they have made so many memories and years playing it started playing it from Xbox 360-ps4-pc and got lvl 140 on all of them and now I'm back to playing it again after battlefield 2042
