my cat did the same thing like a week ago-she is pretty old and her daughter just died a few weeks ago so she's been kind of lonely, and she has this chair she likes sleeping in. i went to give her a small piece of chicken as a treat and her fur was cold and she wasn't moving, so i kinda went 'oh no..' but then i dropped the chicken accidentally and she just instantly sat up to eat it. her fur was cold because it's winter and she was probably just in a really deep sleep but it was _so_ worrying at the time
The "Oh my god, I thought he was dead" reaction was way funnier than it should have been. lol
I absolutely can relate to the gentlemen hand watering his grass. I find it about as peaceful and calming as anything when I feel trapped, stressed, and need to just be alone in peace. An ice cold beer at sunset while hand watering your garden or grass in peace is lovely.
