To all the barbers out there who are watching this video because worried friends sent it to you: No need to be alarmed, your shaving machines wont't cause what you see in this video. This is Raynaud's syndrome. The condition occurs because blood vessels go into a temporary spasm, which blocks the flow of blood. This causes the affected area to change colour to white, then blue and then red, as the bloodflow returns. When you suffer from Raynaud's disease, this is usually triggered by cold temperatures, anxiety or stress. If you don't have this disease, the only way to lose a finger from shaving is if you're clumsy af, in which case you probably shouldn't run a barbershop.
@GhostBranchFPV - Yep. I have Raynauds, and recognized that look. It's a pita trying to keep my fingers warm in winter.
Thank you. Misinformation makes the blood drain from my brain.
Sorry, but you are incorrect. You’re about 90% right in what you said, but you are missing that Raynaud’s Syndrome can also be caused by mechanical vibration. We studied it in university in Human Factors Engineering, it is a potential hazard of using tools with excessive vibration / insufficient safeguards (like anti-vibration gloves, etc.). You can also see that referenced under Causes on the Wikipedia article for the condition (and no I didn’t just write that section to try and win a KZhead comment haha). Cheers bud.

I know this stuff is still very experimental and likely won’t be available in time for my mother to walk again, but the thought that some day some other family won’t have to go through what we’ve experienced is a very powerful one. I hope this is viable technology! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I know there are devices still in clinical trials that are gravitating towards the same objective as the device in the video. It’s going to happen sooner than we all think.
Me too....Best of luck to you, and your mother.
yeah. at 3 years old i had surgery done and my parents were told that i might never walk again if i even make it, somehow i was able to after a relatively short recovery time, but i still remember it, and the fear of getting an injury that leaves me unable to walk or draw has always followed me since then, so hearing about this was pretty great news! it wasn’t ever that big of an anxiety for me, since the chances of it happening are pretty unrealistic and it didn’t really affect day to day life or anything, but it’s just one less anxiety to worry about, and a nice general boost to my hope for humanity !

That first video is not actually specific to only people using vibrating tools although that is very common. It also can happen to people for seemingly no reason this is called Raynaud's disease/Raynaud's syndrome and causes some areas of the body such as fingers and toes to feel numb and cold in response to cold temperatures or stress. In Raynaud's disease, smaller arteries that supply blood to the skin narrow. This limits the blood flow to affected areas, which is called vasospasm. Its a pretty common disease which can be related to other health disorders but in some people it's unknown why it happens their isn't really a cure for it and in some people it persists their entire lifetime.just thought I'd shed some light into this!

He doesn't even mention the best part of the technology. The process of sending the signals happens to stimulate a specific nerve in the spine that rebuilds connections. Patients who have been using the tech for a while have regained some ability to control their limbs, even without the technology. The hope is once we learn more about why the tech helps regenerate the spinal cord, that we will actually CURE paralysis. With their test on mice, while not the majority, it has already been the case.

i had 2 farm dogs growing up in the middle of nowhere. they would run from the field to the house when they heard our car coming down the driveway and over the 14 years they lived....they created trails from that glorious run. my heart hurts when i see it cause i swear i sometimes can imagine them walking the line
create a little road and name it glorious run haha
Make it into a walking path, keep it cut and maintained
God bless you
❤❤❤
There is a visible line in the grass near a road I drive on regularly and I wondered where it came from for quite a while. One time i saw a cat following the line exactly and realised that it made itself a little path. Sometime later I actually walked over the grass and saw that the path made it harder for the grass to grow there and the rain had washed away the dirt a bit more than elsewhere so it actually looked like a proper cat sized footpath like the ones you'll find on hiking trails.
