When someone works for years at woodworking you realize most things work from the same ideas and experience but the “out of the box” thinking here in this video is impressive and fun to watch. Great idea and great skill to make it all come together. I really enjoyed watching this.

He died a few years before I was born, so I never got to meet him. But my dad seems to have picked up several of the skills; he'd occasionally build something simple of wood, although it had nothing to do with his chosen career (meteorology; numerical weather prediction). So I appreciate a well-executed woodworking project. I'm also a mathematician/physicist (retired), so I appreciate the geometric beauty of this design. Fred

    • @@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams I liked the lack of music in the last one. I loved the knots. Nice domino moment that showed really how much wood you used. I don't know why but I really wanted to see it rounded out. Not that it should be...just that I wanted to see it, but structurally, I know it's a different animal.

      @emcllns@emcllns4 жыл бұрын
    • Pistachio Thanks for the feedback. I have a lot more ball ideas, but there are only so many ways I can show the construction process. This was the first ball I have made that wasn’t rounded out.
