For 2024 - Get rid of dealers and allow us to order directly from the Manufacturer!
Dealers are needed for services, parts, etc that manufacturers don't want to get into. They should just stop the dealer markups to make it fair for buyers
@@vh448 The dealers can just become service centers then and drop off/delivery points. I'm sure they'll still get plenty of business.
Because of chip shortages normal msrp price will take few more years to come back down!
If you Drop you dealers much likely your sales will Drop too...
Dealers more expensive then ordering from Toyota.
Toyota, STOP the greedy dealership markups! Let customers order from factory at MSRP and use dealerships for delivery, service. Thanks!
That’s why you go for Tesla
@@puzzleetpuzzles7951 Tesla Cybertruck may never come out.
even when customers order at MSRP, customers will stop want to negotiate $10k under MSRP🤣🤣🤣
They really improved this Taco by a whole lot, I like that they focused on off-roading capabilities. Those seats are game changer and really puts their competition aside.
We appreciate the love! We're glad you're digging the all-new Tacoma. 🤗
@@toyotausa Please, can you guys do something about the outrageous dealer markups?
@@toyotausa rip V6....
@StonoBandito I think the EPA is the reason the taco doesnt have the hilux diesel engine.
@@toyotausa Now this is what I'm waiting for.
This new Toyota hits it out of the park!! Great job to all the engineers and designers that worked on this.
Plus, all the used V6 Tocoma's just went up in value.
@@CalvinHikes Glad I bought mine 2 weeks ago lol
Why? It hasn't even been tested yet and its a hit out of the park? On paper, it's no better than the Colorado lol... Toyota fanboys are hilarious
@@IPGAuto If I wanted to buy a POS, I’d choose Chevy every time. Chevy fanboys are delirious
@@moloono1 I don't know about delirious but definitely delusional about Chevy quality.
Dealers are calculating their mark up price on these new Taco as we speak.
If they try to get too greedy, they will be sitting on dealer lots. There are 3 other new mid size trucks available that all offer a lot of new tech. Ranger has a 2.7 V6. I've seen a lot of concern already about only a 4 on the Tacoma.
@@66skate same with the Colorado and frontier there just as good. And are around same price.
Soft skinned people make me laugh. I bought 60-70 trucks a year from several brands and I never even pay msrp for them. Have a price in mind and a check in hand and some dealer will take it if its between the invoice and msrp.
@@mattbrew11 what are you even saying ik your a troll I buy my truck for 20$ I simply have to take it and bam new truck
AWESOME.... I'm super excited about this truck, particularly the 6 Speed Manual. Thank you, Toyota, so much for putting the 6 speed manual in there! I am definitely going to be getting one. You guys should definitely make it easier for customers to special order the manual trucks though.
Thank you for carrying over the manual transmission - my one question is - why isn't it available in any Extra Cabs? Would be great in the PreRunner or SR (especially those that want a simpler vehicle).
I like this, as it makes me confident the future redesigned 4Runner will be beautiful. Excellent work with the Tacoma design.
Thank you for your kind words, Michael. ❤️
@@toyotausa let’s talk about that 4Runner next gen, Toyota 👀
@@jameshumphrey3425 next Yr ❤
@@toyotausa 2024 model but we get to the dealer maybe 2025-2026 with the mark-up🧐. What going on Toyota 😳
Well has there every been a bad looking 4runner generation?
I've never been a fan of the present model but already this looks appealing to me.
Trailhunter using OME hopefully bodes well for the next gen 4Runner! I love my 2020 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium, but I had to build it myself. Having one come like that from the factory would be AWESOME.
I drove a 2004 Tacoma for 14 years. I replaced it with a 2019 Tacoma. This new generation of Tacoma look great. I'm excited for a new power train, suspension, updates, and features. I'm assuming the Trail Hunter is going to be expensive, so I'd like to see more info and reviews about the TRD Offroad.
The TRD will be expensive too
If you consider how much one usually spends on the suspension and body mod kits, all just to void warranty then beat it up, it’s a reasonable price for a kit which has warranties included
I want limited
@The Defenestrator I have not seen pricing yet, but I suspect you are correct. The Trail Hunter will be reasonably priced for what it has. But I think all vehicles are more expensive than what I'd want to pay for them. At least with a Toyota, they last a long time.
@@gregd4391 this one hasn’t been proven yet tho
everyone on the design team really nailed this. Cant wait to see one and drive one for myself when my 3rd gen wears out (in 20 years!).
I would say they dropped the ball on the giant air dam, especially adding it to the off-road trim
Yeah I’m not so comfortable knowing lithium batteries are right under my rear passenger seats.
@@MASKOAA you can easily remove it
@@ShmokeNaPancake Toyota hybrid battery r super rreliable ❤
@@MASKOAA let’s be honest, nobody is gonna buy a trd off-road and actually take it offroad
It's a home run. Without a doubt, it will remain the midsize truck sales king. Committing to a 2-door working truck variant was smart. Offering the engines both with or without hybridization was also smart. Doubling down on the venerable offroad grades is awesome. 8-speed automatic seems like the perfect number of gears. Given the hybrid, it'll certainly be the most fuel efficient midsize truck, too. The new Tundra already pulls solid numbers, and this of course should pull better.
So ready to get my hands on this long awaited TRD PRO and rival against the Gladiators! 👊 Damn...what a kickass design the Toyota team finally came out with!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Toyota, for the two door, 4x2, Pre Runner!!! I can't wait to see the pricing.
So impressed! Still loving my 2007 TRD Tacoma…best trucks ever!
We appreciate the love, Gary! 😊
Real happy how modern this new gen looks compared to 3rd gen. Hopefully 2024 won't have serious issues. Won't know until months/years later, but hopefully they took their time and did their research into building this Tacoma to make it as reliable as the 3rd gen was/is
The main downside is the turbo engines. The v6 is a solid engine and the v4 will wear out and give out faster trying to compensate the lack of power with the turbos. They look sick tho
That rear diff locker should be available addon option on the SR trim like they do on the Ford Ranger. The SR trim with the 6 speed and the a rear diff locker would be amazing!! Nothing beats a stripped down off roader.
Needs an analog dash. I don't like relying on a digital guage for temp and oil pressure.
I do not think I've ever been so excited about a car being released. But the TRD Pro is definitely on my bucketlist now.
Awesome! What is it about the Tacoma that caught your eye?
@@toyotausa Let's see. The re-design is very appealing. And I got to tell you, it looks phenomenal. The way it sits on that suspension just screams off-road but it looks like it would be comfortable on-road and off-road. And the new powerplant backed by the electric engine is a big step up from previous models. I really like non-plug in hybrids. I currently drive a Lexus GS 450h and I feel like a Tacoma would be a more practical replacement where I do not have to sacrifice the engine power. It's just a great vehicle for all occasions in my opinion. I heard about Lexus having the same powerplant but I think I will go with Toyota this time. And I'm sure the interior is great as well.
Same I’m getting it
@@toyotausais the blue/green/teal color premiered in the video coming to the 24 Tacoma? I've only seen it on this video and nowhere else.
I absolutely love it!!!! I currently own a 2006 XRunner which I love! The truck has been amazing all these years! I will be looking out for the latest edition! Please make it happen!
SO EXCITED FOR THE 2-door Version
I have an F150 and I think I just found my next truck!!! Beautiful!!!
I am trading in my Ridgeline for this. You fixed all of my concerns with your lack of tech, and the extra 1,000 lbs of towing capacity is appreciated. This is the exact truck I need. It also happens to be the one I want.
I hope Toyota Australia can also get some inspiration and offer some good products to its customers as well, Very presentable vehicle indeed, job well done #ToyotaUSA
I remember buying a new 2015 4Runner Trail & 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road new with ease, having a great experience, and without any dealership shenanigans. I can't even be excited about the buying the new 4th Generation Tacoma because since then dealers have become notoriously unpleasant. I'll drive my RX450h until dealer experience makes a 180, if ever. However, this generation does look great. Good job, Toyota! I love it!
Totally agree. Dealers are devils now. Walked into Lexus and no one even came up to see what’s up and if I’m interested in buying.
Stop showing off man! I don't even have a vehicle, not for 2 years. I been waiting for this truck.
This is one badass truck! Gotta love Toyota!
Love it!! Can't wait for next year!!🤗🤗
I want this truck now....can't wait to get this
Keep us posted, Jesse! We'd love to congratulate you on your new ride. 🤗
@@toyotausawish it was available in the uk
Can you get the trd prerunner with the 6 speed manual? If so that would be the perfect truck. I like the idea of the extended cab not having back doors or seats and instead having storage and stuff.
Pretty sure it will be available since it’s a TRD model
You can yes
No. Prerunner is auto only.
My 2018 TRD OF has gotten me through some the roughest, craziest weather and trails. Some that other trucks never would have made it through. I'm excited for the new Tacoma and might even want to trade up!
We love hearing this, Shiro! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
I own a 2014 Tacoma and it’s amazing to see the decade difference between the 2nd Gen and the 4th Gen
i'll second that, but will be waiting for the 2nd year.
I've never owned a Toyota, currently drive a Subaru but I am 1000000% getting the new TRD Pro. You guys KILLED it!!!!!
Over 50k

I have 4 toyotas. A 2022 corolla se hatchback, a 21 highlander limited, a 19 Tacoma SR5 and a 18 Camry SE. I've really been wanting a 4 runner to add to my collection, but I might need another Tacoma too. It's going to be hard not buying one off these. I've always loved Tacoma, I always wanted on after seeing the black truck on back to the future. I was excited to see the new generation and this truck far exceeds what I was expecting. Bravo Toyota.
Thanks for always being a Toyota fan, J Kosh! What is it about the 2024 Tacoma that initially caught your eye?
@toyotausa love the way the truck looks. I mean I love my 19 and I'm so happy the 24 still looks like a Tacoma. Even people who don't know cars very well will knows its a Taco. Beside that, you seem to have listened to what Tacoma owners wanted from their next truck. I'm just as excited to see what the 4runner will be like. I'm going to have to get both. Keep building great cars and my house will look like a toyota dealership. My current tacoma is a lower trim level with the 4cyl and I bought it because I planned to pass it down to my son and let him use it for however long he wants to. Toyota was a no Brainerd because I knew that it would last pretty much forever. I've had it for over 4 years now and still love it. My only gripe is that I don't have intermittent wipers, which I think should be standard on all trim levels.
We appreciate your feedback! We're glad you still love everything about your current Tacoma. 🙌 We hope your son will have a great experience with it in the future!
Please make the TRD Sport/Off Road affordable.. 45k MSRP for a midsize truck/4 cylinder would be too much. Dealers would market it up to 50k+.
I paid that for my new 2020 TRD sport with XP Package in 2019
You know stealerships are going to try to sell around $65-70,000
@@Stinkysock11 and they’ll get it.
This year is looking NOT so good for the car dealerships. The automotive sales bubble created by Covid-19 and chip shortages is bursting as we speak. The industry is looking a big price drops soon. But too bad for folks that purchased a vehicle and want to upgrade to a new vehicle in 2024/25 as many are upside down on their loans. Values on used vehicles are going to bottom out and correct backwards to years past and more.
Nice work Toyota. I really liked the new Chevy Colorado but they don't offer a long bed on it so I'm definitely leaning towards the Tacoma now!
I love that stance!
Can you guys please let us buy the trucks directly online and have them delivered to a drop off/service center point they way Tesla does it? The markups are out of control in some areas. I know in some states the dealers lobby for the local govt to keep dealers in place, but for those states that don't, let the customer have more freedom.
What in world do u think or expect something in God blessed freedom capitalist merica
Door dash cars hahahahah dream on fool
I actually enjoy engaging with stealership. I like owning them. I'm Vietnamese so negotiating is in my blood.
Can't wait until they do a 6 cyl! Love my 2021 SR5 V6.
Better hold to your truck. Don’t see a 6 cylinder coming back.
They're killing off v6's.
Danmm im not a pick up guy but this truck is something else i want it so bad in the 6 speed manual😍😍
Wow amazing am still driving my 2006 Tacoma. Without having any major problem. Toyota its the vehicles I have own for many years . Congrats 🍾🎉🎈 to all the engineers!! I may look forward to see the bee models. 👏👏👏👏
this car is my offroad dream car since the last 2004 Tacoma I was a hilux man
Toyota has clearly been working on their mind-reading technology. That's the only way I can explain them releasing a 4-cylinder turbo'd manual transmission SR, my dream truck. Better get those pre-order forms ready.
What’s the benefit of a 4 cylinder turbo injected manual?
@@manthonymontoya Thanks for the question, Marcus! For me, the benefit of a 4-cyl turbo'd manual is this: I've wanted a Toyota truck because of their reliability and utility, and I love driving stick because of how fun it is, but all the previous manual transmissions were TRD only, meaning I'd have to shell out an extra $7000 for options I didn't want, such as a gas guzzling V6. The new Tacoma SR allows me to save money by getting a manual transmission on the base edition while still making plenty of power with a 4-cyl turbo, which should increase gas mileage by a fair amount, too! TL;DR: Reliable, fun, and affordable
@@christopherlee5881wow, never considered how much easier 4cyl turbos are on fue l😮
That green(teal?) color looks awesome. I hope that is available on the 24 Sport as shown.

Looks Great and about time! Only one issue I have; that front air dam. I would rather have skid plates. Too me, that air dam is too low for the Tacoma and takes away some front end ground clearance.

Bought a 3rd Gen recently so my next one will probably be a 5th Gen and it will fly.... or drive itself who knows. Cheers 🇨🇦
Nice and all but how will Toyota combat dealer markups on these?
I love how it looks like my baby tundra 🔥🔥
might replace my 2013 with one of these. super impressed.
2013 owner’s for the win!
Waiting for the mpg est on the TRD Pro before I consider ditching my Jeep Gladiator Mojave. Love my Jeep but this new Tacoma looks fantastic
Beautiful truck TRDPro
We're glad you think so! 🥰
Beautiful looking truck but please make the back row bigger. I know this is a midsize truck so you shouldn’t expect more room but i feel it could be bigger. Since there are options for bed size (5ft and 6ft) then I feel the extra room can come from that. If someone picks the 5ft bed then the back row should be extended that extra 1 foot. Fingers crossed someone from Toyota sees this and makes it happen once these trucks go into production. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Nah. I prefer the shorter wheelbase
Are you transporting giants in the backseat? JEEEZ this thing is way larger than the Hilux already!
@@CaneSugarCanehi. I was just going the nobody uses trucks as trucks anymore. Trucks and SUVs are the new car. It is the family “car” now. I think they should add another trim level and maybe call it the Luxury or Family trim that comes in a crew cab. I have seen many KZhead reviews since the truck came out and saw a guy who said he is 5’8 and his knees and feet were touching the driver seat and I saw a guy who said he is 5’11 and he had room. I also was thinking since this is a redesign stand out from other mid size trucks and make the back row bigger. That is why I said take that 5ft bed and extend the back row with the extra 1ft that they offered with a 6ft bed. Trucks and SUVs are the new family vehicle so there should be more room. Since full size trucks are getting crazy expensive maybe make a midsize truck a little longer/bigger for the cost difference they would sell more instead of having a full size truck to fit the family.
Informative and supportive..!:)
Wow! Finally wireless car play! You guys could have done that forever ago!
I hope the Limited comes with Double Cab, 6ft Bed configuration
It doesn’t. Only short bed on it and trd pro
Thank you for going hybrid and not fully electric! I only hope prices are competitive with other top model midsize trucks!
If you mean overpriced like everyone else then yes !
Very cool cars, love it ❤
Can you please do a review of the SR5 and it’s many options including if you can get it in a extra cab manual with 4x4. Also, does the extra cab have seating like the double cab?
I love my Hilux but, would love to see these in Australia!

@andmoreagain oh no they bad?
@@ShatOutaHell oh no way, definitely not! tacomas rule. its just that they were created specifically for the US as a response to unfairly not being able to import the hi lux, so a lot of US tacoma fans wish for the opportunity to try one.
@@andmoreagain I'm surprised you guys aren't able to get the hilux
@@ShatOutaHell look up the "chicken tax", thats essentially the reason the tacoma exists. years ago the states put a massive tariff on the import of light pick up trucks, which effectively banned them here. its one of the reasons the rest of the world associates us with the dumb big truck guy meme. a big reason that trope exists here is because giant trucks and SUVs have been consistently shoved down our proverbial throats for decades. i know the current generation of hi lux has grown in size as well, but thats beside the point. i havent done enough digging to know exactly what is happening, but i have to imagine that typical massive oil corp et al tomfoolery is at play here because there is objectively a demand for small trucks. i already mentioned it in another comment but i really do hope that toyota decides at some point to release a 1st gen sized tacoma offering. i just know it would be a massive success. anyways, i digress, but dont take all the cool japanese vehicles that youve been getting all these years over there in oz land for granted!
I have a 22 pro and considering trading in but not sure about this new engine.
If I had a Pro that new I would not trade it for anything for at least a few years.
I have been driving F150s for 25 years but I am ready to make a change and this new Tacoma is the reason. The cab looks higher and the dimensions take it closer to a full-size pickup. When will this truck be available in Canada?
A great machine. TRD and the TrailHunter must get a front locking differential and a front bumper that accept a winch.
Glad that all models will come in 6 foot beds! BUT disappointed that no front lockers! 😞
Where does it exactly say that. Do you have a timestamp please?
Not much needed
Not that TRD pro right?

Ahh the 10k markup. Or even more depending on trims
Can’t wait to get my new Taco
The blue paint in the video looks extremely good, nothing to do with how that color looks in real life
I really love the look and style of the new Taco. I'm a bit leery about the engine though. I'd love to see the current V6 IFM from the Tundra in the new Taco to rival the hp of the Ranger Raptor. I'd be totally on board then.
Im 38 and can’t wait to buy my first Toyota. I feel like a kid again excited about a new toy. Hope the dealership experience doesn’t prevent me from obtaining a TRD Pro. Wife wants to wait for the 4runner Trd
I bought my first toyota in 2018. Now I have 4 of them. I won't buy anything else. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
Get ready for your wallet to get a whoopin on the trd pro. Watch out for that "market adjustment" 15000 fee on top of a 2000 window tint fee on the window sticker.
@galgal2768 I've never paid sticker price, even post covid. I paid 21k for my current Tacoma and I bought it brand new. My highlander was.the only new vehicle on the lot and I got it 5k under msrp, even with the tint on it.
@@Gideon-300 and don't buy them first year on the market. I wait and get 25 or 26. I bought my camry first year but I needed a new car because I had a Nissan and that thing was a POS. I still managed to get almost 7k off on that, but that was pre covid. Impossible now.
Yep, best thing to wait for toyota to work out the new gen kinks. Good thing about toyotas, especially a top trim like the pro is they hold value like crazy, so there is that solace, but I would expect a 67k out the door price, 1k a month for 6 years.
The hybrid engine, tech improvements, and TRD Pro upgrades make this a no-brainer. I love my 2020 off-road but will upgrade to this.

I’m sure the stealerships are sharpening their fangs already. I’m sure they are going to cost just like the Tundras. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pro and Teailhunter come close to $80-90,000 after markups.
I can't imagine they will sell at that price. Nearly 90K for a Tacoma??
We're headed into a massive bust. Dealers won't be charging crazy prices anymore. Be patient.
This is what it should have been for awhile! Absolute beast can’t wait to see the 15k dealer mark up though 😢
For sure at the price point they were way behind in Stone Age for gen 3. And even now there isn’t that much to be eggar to spend 10-15k mark up.

I like everything about this redesign except the engine. I think my 6-cylinder Tacoma will hold it's value a little longer
Probably since the car market sucks but this thing is beautiful lol.
the engine can be a good thing, odds are its got a pretty small turbo on it. The low to mid range should be decent with this engine. The 3.5 v6 thats in the current tacoma (i had a 16 trd off road) feels gutless sometimes especially down low. This engine could address that, I just pray it has the D4s fuel injection system
@@nastynatee88 Fingers crossed. I was hoping it would get more HP, but it's the same. Not sure if it will be more MPG. I figure turbos are for small race-cars like Honda builds, so I am skeptical about the turbo in a heavy truck. Despite all the nice changes in the '24, I plan to keep my '20 for awhile. But, then again that's what I said about my '17 Tacoma lol
I have a 2001 4Runner and a 2006 Tacoma... I prefer a V6 in my mid-size trucks. There is no replacement for displacement. A naturally aspirated rngines is simply more reliable.
@@bajabret60Turbos are for improving efficiency and lower emissions. Big Diesels have been running turbos for years, I’m surprised how much truck guys are against turbos. As long as the engine is built for the heat of the reused exhaust, and stress of pulling a load it should be good to go. With the hybrid should hopefully be a pretty quick and powerful little truck.

I wanted a Bronco Raptor but allocations are severely limited. I now see the Ranger Raptor will be no different. Ford, I'm done. I have never had any interest in Toyota until now. Does anyone know if TRD Pro trucks will be based on a limited number of dealer allocations as well?
It’s their exclusive version so your only hope is to request one through the dealer with a written agreement to sell at msrp. Any trd models the dealer gets on their own will absolutely have a market adjustment along with junk accessories that cost hundreds more
