Baby Topi Antelope Faces Lion Attack After First Steps 🦌🦁
Witness a heart-wrenching and rare wildlife moment as a helpless baby Topi antelope takes its first steps, only to face a hungry lion's attack within minutes of its birth. 🦌🦁 This heart-breaking footage captures the harsh realities of the African savannah, where the circle of life unfolds most poignantly.
Lion researchers that looked at this video suggest that the Topi's calf had problems; it took too long to stand and then did not move away from the birthplace, and the smell would attract predators. 🦌🦁 The Lion was removing a weak animal from the chain of life. It is still very sad.

The baby topi's life was so brief that the moment it could stand on all fours would be considered its "midlife crisis."
Out one belly, straight into another.
In Africa, Antelopes, gazelles, impalas, zebras. Both adults and babies of each of them are literally food for predators. It’s like being born as any of those 4 is a death sentence. I’m thankful for being born a human, we are at the top of the animal food chain , Bravo.
top of the food chain huh? you mean like in stomach of lions and hyenas right? you would be a scattered skeleton picked clean to bare bones i a few hours after Sun down. top of the food chain lmao.
The mom topi was like "F you son. I save myself first before you"
The baby was no match for the lion but still pretty cool to see that it instinctively knew the lion meant harm and that it needed to run away from it, and that it was able to (kind of) pick up running moments after taking its first step
How polite of the lion! Waiting for her prey to come out of the oven and cool down before eating it😊
😀
The mother said screw this I'll make another one lol
Wow at 22:37 tis topi calf is bitting a lioness. Amazing how a newborn of less than 1 hour has already the instinct of survival. The thomson gazelle are like "better him than us". Thanks for sharing
The lioness was teaching it to walk on its back legs. Great video 👍👍
Awesome! From the Womb to the tomb. Lion gotta eat too
Yes they do
Lolol womb to the tomb lolll
Topi mother the first 21 minutes of the video: I love you, my child and will take such good care of you. Topi mother at 21:50: I hope the lion catches you instead of me. Let me trample you just to make sure. Herbivore prey animals are just too entertaining.
Based mother Topi calves sound really funny when they're getting mauled alive
You're not the brightest candle here. How does the mother even plan to protect the child from a lion? In the end both would be dead. And Cape buffalos show that they can defend themselves. Your generalizations also show that you are very entertaining.
@@RIPzippyshare It doesn't scream as it's being mauled. It dies instantly with one bite, joker.
@@switch12345678 I was mainly talking about the trampling of its baby. Mother prey animals are great at hitting their own kid when coming to its defense. And funny you say that. Buffalo are actually pound for pound the most cowardly of the prey animals.
@@RIPzippyshare Baby antelopes in general make really obnoxious noises when they get themselves caught.
Fresh out of the oven
Oh you're goon
💀💀
😂😂😂
Nature is too merciless, but this is the nature...
Man you can still see its umbilical cord. But that's nature.
The predators in the safariparks (like this one) get attracted by the safari-cars. Knows something happens where they are.
Boom. Another one bites the dust. I love the noise the wimp made as a real man was devouring it. Well done, Lioness 😻
lol wannabe hardcore
@@MAstaKFC careful what you day son, I carry power

Great place to give birth out in the open , you would think they would be smart enough to go find some cover in some brush or thicket or a small patch of trees being at their most venerable
Nah. These are not intelligent animals at all. They lack the higher cognitive thinking humans and primates have. They also have little emotional stimuli in comparison too. Nature and other species like this are worthy of disgust and contempt. Be grateful to be the species you are.
Well, their gazelles.. They won't know when their baby will be born
Antelope got spawn killed
انا اهتم بمتابعة قناتكم لان محتواها مميز .
22:44 Oh look! Mommy came to video bomb!
The lion just want to play 🤤
Amazing
FRESH MEAT!
Out one stomach and into another
You know a lot about the internal organs, lol
22:32 “oooh you’re so cute…I could just eat you up!! …no, seriously, I’m going to eat you now.”
That Antelope, took off, as soon as she spotted, the Lion coming. Too scared from the Lion & couldn't even protect, her baby. How dumb & stupid.
Dumb & stupid? It’s an antelope and acts purely on instinct which is to run away from the predator. It will give birth to another baby in 5-6 months.
I want to see how you fight a lion with no weapon like the antelope, tough keyboard warrior
21:52 it actually even tramples the baby on its way 😂 I love this about the herbivore prey animal species. So often they hit the kid themselves.
@@SaadKhan-xn1xv Didn't you say we shouldn't have any emotions towards nature in every comment? Then why are you laughing (an emotion) and saying you "love" (a feeling) the scene? Nice hypocrisy.
@@johnytan971 Uh, no. I reply to people who say things like "this shouldn't happen" or "people should interfere to save the prey". I'm not saying anything at all should or shouldn't happen. I'm just finding aspects of nature amusing.
Instead of slowly moving away and forcing the baby Topi to master walking/running as quickly as possible The mother just stands there, then cleans the baby, then sits down, then feeds the baby all in the same place No wonder the baby Topi can't run away when the lion comes after it
I bet that baby deer was delicious.
Nice video bro👍 from Punjab India,,,,,, doctor inderjit Singh and family
❤❤. Mother carries, loves❤ & bonds with her calf. Then the beast on the block destroys calf while momma frantically watches lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ZOOM IN ❗❗
i hate being antelope
Go out an then a menute back inside again he is going back outside in a few day, as pup not a cub
at 8:41you were finsally able to get a closer clearer pictue...and u also finally stop shaking the crap out of the recorder..u were brutal, esoecially for a still shot of the Topi who was just laying there not moving...you were figety the whole time making my head hurt
Not heart-wrenching for the lioness.
thats a tssesebe
i wish u was able to zoom in on the birth
Spawn kill
Stop it
I love how the mother was BONDING WITH HER CALF & SHE COWARDLY RUNZ AWAY THEN LOOKS HELPLESS. CUZ SHE TOO STUPID TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
