Looks like it was keeping up pretty good at the end. Go little one!!
What a dreadful title and a bit of a con. I thought by the title it might be attacked by other buffalo or a predator, but eventually it stand up and walks away. Almost clickbait that title in my opinion !
the title is 100% spot on, it doesn't imply the calf was attacked. Such a title would read "Newborn calf abandoned and gets mealed by a Hyena". Maybe YOUR the one who's clickbait!
It is not safe for that calf to be so close to that water hole, too many predators also visit that water hole.
Baby wasn't abandoned. Even domestic cows will leave their newborns while they go off to graze. The babies are "protected" by remaining very still. The other buffalo were just checking it out. They were actually quite careful in stepping around and over it. Still, held my breath for a while with those young bulls around.
2:30 around that time he went out of his way to not step on calf. Very interesting.
Even domestic cows babysit each other's calves also. I've seen an "auntie" babysitting as many as 5 calves at once.
How is this a hard start to life 😂😂😂😂 that normal Buffalo behavior
He doesn't seem in such a bad state, this calf💞 I hope his mom will accept him and protect him, otherwise we know how it will end for this little…
Mom wanna have fun again
It is a very hard life out there and even the ones who get right up and start moving have a good chance of not surviving. The mother is not stupid enough to waste resources on it when she can get pregnant and have one with good genetics that is worthwhile. That thing would very likely get her killed. It will provide a good meal for lions including their cubs which have a far higher mortality rate than any of the grazing animals. If it were a farm cow it would definitely be worth saving. They have a much easier life.
You didn't watch the end...did you
Ya dont know so much about buffy's . But they may have been just urging him to stand up ,hense her moving away and the bulls coming over to get him up ! He walked off pretty gopd as you say . Often times cows especailly oversized calves cant stretch their legs in the womb and are handicaped or just slow to walk because of being all doubled up inside the mom . Maybe something like this has happened ? Wonder how this played out over time ?
how you know it's a ''he''?
Happy to see no predators is around. Wish you all buffaloes stay happy and peaceful till the end of your lives.
What was the 'terrible' part ? Did I miss something ?
Fantastic video
Oh my heart this is so sad. Am hoping now that he/she is up and walking that that is the mother he is following. They need to suckle within the first few hours of life to survive. Fingers crossed 🤞❤💯
Sadly I don’t think it is going to make it
@@WildestKrugerSightings Am so sorry to hear that Kruger Park, thank you for responding
@@WildestKrugerSightings He should have been rescued and taken to some rehabilitation center like Sheldrik wildlife trust. You should have informed KWS or Sheldrik wildlife trust volunteers.
@@a.i2625 Why should they force some lion cubs to starve by intervening with nature? Just because you hate lions and want them to die doesn't mean they should.
@@WildestKrugerSightings What are u talking about mum is there at the end. Arent you suppose to be a professional?
Holy COW; this little cutiepie is so fortunate/blessed to have such protective relations cos they dont seem to wanna leave until they know shesbok. Man, life's so tuff out there in the wild where everyday cud b u last, all animals need t 'watch theirs (an others) backs all day long. Hopefully she still safe.

The mother is new first birth I think
Muito bom! 👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your very lucky to be born a human, trust me !
Modern day humans
unless you were born black 80 years ago
not worse than being born white today@@anomaly3215
Yes and No. Nature is 'horrible' to many an animal. Human nature (but a subdivision of nature) is 'horrible' to many a human. Trust me (I'm a zoologist)!
Buffaloes are very pretty and intelligent animals .they work in unit
That was the mother it was following
what could be the reason for rejection?
It looks like it has a bad limp from what I could see
@@WildestKrugerSightings still we have a lot to learn from nature.
@@tt5570 Agreed. And we can also learn a lot from nature. My three-year old daughterr developed a limp like this buffalo calf but worse. I took herr to a very remote wilderness area (using an all terrain vehicle) and abandoneddd her/left her there.
Mum is out drinking again. She wont admit to having a serious problem. Sad...
Hope it finds another mother to adopt him.
I think the chances are very slim it looks like the calf has a limp and wont be able to keep up.
It is going to die
It's probably 1st calf for the Buffalo 🐃 mother the calf will be alright stop being negative people
It wont..it will die soon
@@WildestKrugerSightingshat " limp" is just the youngster getting used to being on his feet and walking. I think it's going to be okay. Plus, it appears the calf is already suckling a bit. Positive signs.
Piccoli baby bufalo so belli
A mí también me gustan, me sorprende como logran vencer su instinto de supervivencia y miedo natural hacia los depredadores como leones y enfrentarlos valientemente incluso para tratar de rescatar a alguno de los suyos.
Click bait!
He was delivered and dropped to the ground. Looked around and saw mama. What he saw didn't make him happy. And he said to himself, "Oh Great! I guess I am a cow."
And you said, "Oh Great! I guess I'll find my fame and fortune in KZhead comments"?
Is there any channels that don't have clickbait
Totally thought the sparring bulls were going to crush it.
Same
Even the lions knew better not to get involved in this family dispute.
Poor baby buffalo 🐃
THE CALF IS FINE. ITS MOTHER IS RIGHT THERE! Look, see the big one? THAT'S MOMMY. This video is deceptively titled.
That's sad😔😢 the baby buffalo is so vulnerable it's an easy meal
THE CALF IS FINE. ITS MOTHER IS RIGHT THERE! Look, see the big one? THAT'S MOMMY. This video is deceptively titled.
Can someone explain what the terrible part was?
This Cape Buffalo Calf seemed to be getting ignored somewhat by its Dam. The young calf normally is lavished with love by the Mother. Thus when I saw the Bulls approach to sniff the young Calf. The Mother seemed indifferent. Then once up on its feet. Going to the hindquarters to find the teats to suckle. This Mother pulled away rather than remaining still and licking the calf. It may be she senses something amiss with her newborn. Thus not having the bond a Mother should have with her Calf. I hate to say it but this Calve will not survive if the Mother doesn't start to actually let it suckle and look after it. Normally great Mother's but they have instinctual senses about their offspring. Hopefully it will be ok. Such is life on the African Savannah. 💪🏼🙏🏻✨
Misleading video. So many are bad news descriptions
The mother Buffalo didn’t like the baby’s father. That’s why it was cold hearted to the newborn
Đây là những chú trâu hiền lành siêu cute đáng yêu là đây thấy cưng quá đi thôi dễ thương lắm nhé
God doesn't protects buffalo calves, he leaves the job to Darwin.
Hope mother and calf catch up soon with their fellow group else very difficult to stay away from notorious, ever hungry and greedy lions
I don't get it....what's so terrible? All they did was smell it.
I think that they're trying to get it to stand up 🌿
Notice once the baby got up, the mother then starts to walk. Probably to catch up with the herd so no time to nurse the baby yet
@@laurelflint1866 I think you're right.
The calf's back right leg was not properly in place. He's unlikely to survive, but you never know.
@@JLFrost It took me a few viewings of the video to actually catch that, good eye! Poor little thing, you're probably right.... survival of the fittest. 🙏
How come the new baby knows where his food
tenson free delivery in deep forest good vlog i am also subscriber. Raju police department in Visakhapatnam.Andhrapradesh in InDia
nothing terrible to be born surrounded by the protection of a herd. good thing he got up. been able to escape from predators is always necessary . a crocodile oe hyena is not going to think. "ahhh, its a baby....I will leave the family alone....!" on the contrary. baby it's a n easy pray
I dont get it. What is the terrible part??
Why the calf not walking
How they know where the milk is
And that's how baby AT-AT walkers are born.
It has a terrible start to life....how, exactly? He's walking off with Mom and looks fine to me.
What exactly was the terrible start? Looks like clickbait to me.......
How quickly do they usually stand and demonstrate their 'inner buffalo-ness'? Nature has rules even for their own young. Like 'get away from watering holes in daylight'. Initially timid but a pass.
OMG I saw a lion in the bush just waiting.
clickbait title.
It appeared one of those mofo's stepped right on the calf's leg. Locking up horns, stomping around appearing to be ready to fight, Mama off, and nowhere in sight, and a youngin' just laying there.🤔🙄
🔥🦁🔥
Life of any animal is cruel. I have never understood why they have to suffer so much to live.
They're not suffering. They're doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing.
The same goes for humans. Life is suffering for every animal, including humans.
It's nature lol. They don't know what suffering is. That's a human thing. They only know survival.
Maybe it’s not your place to understand. Nature is beyond your petty mind.
@@poluticon not petty. Naive. Nature is immune to our bullshit. This is nature's concept of "fair". Our version of right and wrong changes twice a decade. HOWEVER, even chimps understand the concept of "rude".
Who else was expecting a lion to introduce himself to the newborn buffalo?
I'm not sure why the algorithm keeps showing me this channel. I hate it. Don't like seeing all the prey animals getting eaten.
4:50 The Calf’s right rear hip looks displaced. That would explain its difficulty in standing and feeding. Unfortunately such weakness will quickly be spotted by predators.
Yes i think you are right
Could be. But it's having its first steps on this planet which are naturally wobbly. It started already running after the mother.
Bubba following the mama .
Imagine being born a prey animal?
We can easily make the big cats and big dogs go extinct but we're not doing it for sime dumb reason about ecosystem.
It’s the system of nature can’t interfere with the natural order
@@neozeon2567 that's a self serving excuse. we interfere with the natural order of things all the time.

Calf seems ok. Just a little slow.
There was family dispute and the baby did not want get involved. The bulls were arguing about who is the real father and when the case settle by the water. The baby left with her mother to get fed. Up until then, The mother will be responsible for the baby until they figured out who is the real father so that he can call him daddy.
1:33+) *Well atleast Mr duck is ok even if hes a bit nosy/concerned about the potential horror unfolding infront of him, sommuch so that he comges over an takes a free peek t check everything's ok etc.*
i was hoping for more lions
At least he didn’t get devoured by a lion (yet)
That is so sad. It seems to have something wrong with it's leg. Maybe stepped on. I wish they would send it to a rehabilitation center
Immediately
@tonya7568 Buffalo never send their young to a rehabilitation center. Most buffalo don't have medical insurance.
Still searching for that "terrible" thing
and I came here expecting it to be lion lunch
**Newborn Buffalo Calf Has A natural Start To Life
Why terrible? Clickbait
I think his diaper hasn’t been changed for hours and….it’s dad’s turn.
Dad be like honey the Lions are playing I can’t 🏈
The gang was stimulating the calf, animals do that when they have a still born. If they had not kept prodding it it would have certainly not have lived. Next best thing after standing up is getting some of its mothers milk
❤️👍
Wait until the end 😭
A doe gave birth in my front lawn. She walked away for a full hour before coming back for her fawn.
Any predator. Even a bird..and that little botje..is toast!
shame the little guy, it is nature and nature weeds out the weak and sick.
A hungry hyena hopefully
That was soooo terrible
Why do you think it’s terrible start? It seems it’s very normal.
Terrible start to life ? Where ?
WAS ROOTING FOR THE LITTLE CALF
Bufalo recém nascido tem terrível começo de vida
Я@думаю что его мамаша тоже не подарок. Дурная воще не лижет его не подбадривает
Looks like a Monday morning for me.....😏
That's Gold 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Возможно она уводит малыша в стадо, чтобы не отстать от сородичей
Полетела мать, а на ребёнка ноль внимания
POOR LITTLEST BUTTON!!!!!!
cruelty is a term created by people. from nature perspective it's another source of food for predators.
If urigotliv hand is chopped and served in supper, there is no cruelty, just another source of food
!om seems t b desperately trying t spur him up; life not so easy f animals born into wild. Hope he gets the loving guidance t help him lead as much a healthy life he can bf a pred ends his short life
Not really, like me feeling a little lazy
Thought it was going to be lion food
Looks like the calf was registered by it's mother
Долгожданная мать пришла, ребёнка бросила одного😮
& what was so terrible here? Title completely off👎
They've got babes back but WHO'S got theirs? Mr Duck @2:44 is 1 courageous little fella f daring t approach Mr Bulll t have a word wid him on bad parenting; MAYBE she's the family Advisor OUT on 1 of her field trips, altho' her actions must seem like BULL t the father
❤❤❤❤🎉😮😮
Okbi see. Now
Animals can tell when their own offspring are in some way unhealthy and therefore a bad investment in time and energy. Survival is not kind.
Nothing happen the whole time.... got to the end and I said "Yes! The mother is gunna kick him in the face"... again nothing happen
He's too weak to follow
Lion food
