I was left scratching my head after all the work they did though. I had considered that they were working for Mohoric, and that he may try and escape over the top of the climb and down the descent, but instead they did nothing and seemed content to waste their energy for no real purpose.

    • Pneumothorax is a weird thing. It can be very serious when traumatic like here but can also happen spontaniously

      @LF-hj8kk@LF-hj8kk2 жыл бұрын
    • It depends on the amount of air or blood depressing the lung. I’ve had a pneumothorax after being hit by a car. It sucked but it was luckily pretty minor and I didn’t need a tube. My respirations were stuck at 25/30 for a day or two and I had trouble catching my breath during even mild exercise for around a month. Not a horrible recovery otherwise. It’d probably put a bike racer out of commission for a little while though

    • @@teffisk you underestimate the other professional riders. Everybody are well aware that Remco’s is a hell of cronoman and it is extremely hard to catch him once he has an advantage of 20/30 seconds. To catch him all of the riders should have ridden at their maximum and Vlasov demonstrated that even though he was pushing over his limits the gap remained steady for a while and then it started again to grow. After 250 Kms even though you are in a group it often happens that you cannot catch the rider in front if he does not have any fault. Van Vleuten proved the same just few hours before. Take into consideration that nobody will push at the very limits when you are in a small group chasing another one and yesterday they showed that even though there was a moment where they were trying to evade from the chasing group the could not catch him since they were at their limit and had to slow down a little. I would add that in those circumstances it is also better that the rider in front is alone because he/she can really puts everything until the last meter. Yesterday Evenepoel was the strongest and he proved it. Full stop!

  • That is where Remco is Dangerous... Attacking on low steep at the finish of the climb where the peloton is on low speed... When he tries to attack when he is on a high pace it is just impossible for him, but with that radical change of speed he really can crush em all!!

  • How can you say this did not save QS's classic season? Winning any of the Monuments is success for a classics based team. Not to mention a win a KBK. Granted Ienos has made it much tougher on QS in the classics... because Ienos knows they won't win the TdF this year so they put more focus on one day races.

    • I don't really think that is the case, the media has just heavily overblown how bad there relations is and Remco always was going to be a co-leader at those races, last year was special due to Remco's long recovery. And I saw nothing wrong with Remco refering to third person here, maybe it is just because I am dutch too and this is a normal thing expression to say here. He is just saying he's has currently the best form he ever had.
