Yep, I think he can sing as good as anything. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that all this is sung from the same person. That man has not one gorgeous voice inside of him but several. And btw, I loved what you said about Dimash pushing boundaries, just to see what he can do. That was my impression, too. If this song was written for the Olympics,. pushing boundaries is a very fitting approach.
Dimash is a wonderful composer himself!!! He wrote 17 songs!!! For the song Omir, he wrote not only music but also words!!! And he wrote the music for the song The Story of One Sky for 3 years!!!!!!
Dimash has always inspired the content of the lyrics to his songs. He's a musician first and the writing of content in lyrical form takes a special skill. However, he's striving to learn and that is to be commended. Like dancing....it's not his forte...but he has improved quite a lot already. How many singers have accomplished all that he has. Writing lyrically may not come as easy for him...but as skills go...Dimash leaves the rest of the industry in the dust. Watched him play drums at a jam practice session recently....I was super impressed on how he has improved. I think drums may be an innate talent he has yet to discover. He dare not spread himself too thin. Practice time he doesn't have...but if he did...I think he would be a dynamo on drums. Vocals and composition are his craft and those are what will touch the world the most. He's an amazing human being. His scope of excellence is exceedingly rare. Legendary
When I listened to my first Dimash song just over 5 years ago, I literally knew nothing about music but understood intuitively that I had just listened to the most amazing voice on the planet.🤩 Dimash shook my world and likely blew most of my brains out my ears. 😂😂😂 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Dimash is a very capable composer himself, he has a masters degree in composition with a score of 100%. He has composed many of his songs in many different genre so maybe take a look through his official KZhead channel and react to some. The song OlImpico (which became known as Ogni Pietra) was composed by maestro Igor Krutoy, with Italian lyrics by Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and arrangements by Erlan Bekchurin. It was composed specifically for Dimash for the 2019 European Games. With this song Dimash won, on December 5, 2019, the Victoria award (Russian equivalent of the Grammy) for best singer of the year, in the classical genre ("Best Vocalist in Classical Music").

Igor Krutoy came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing Sinful Passion, excellent video by the way. He retired because there was no one able to sing the music he wanted to compose. After hearing Dimash, he approached him and his father and asked permission to compose for him. Someone commented that Igor said that he had waited his whole life for a voice like that of Dimash. By the way, I saw and listened to your cover of " It's My House" by Dianah Ross... amazing. You guys are great. Loved it. I hope you will do the videos of Dimash from Singer 2017. He was young and I enjoyed listening to how he improved with each week. He was ill when he sang "Daybreak"; they had to take him to the hospital for treatment and he still gave an excellent performance. You could see it on his face that he was in pain. He is truly a dedicated professional. My favorites from that show were The Show Must Go On, Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day ( which he wrote at 19), and Confessa/ Diva Dance. I just saw your "Keep it funky!" which inspires the following 2 Dimash suggestions. First and foremost, his performance last year on CCTV1 of Dudarai. Second and tentative, is his performance of Uptown Funk in the 5th episode of the 2017 The Singer competition. It was arguably his bravest, weirdest performance ever. But the mixed reaction meant he nearly got dropped from the competition!

Ooh, yes! "Like an athlete trying to figure out what is possible to do with my voice, my body, while maintaining artistic integrity." Yes, exactly that! The crazy thing is, he's still growing. Dimash today is as much better than the young Dimash you saw singing SOS on "I Am Singer" as that Dimash was than most other popular/talented singers. He's always adding more languages, too. I think he's up to 19 languages he sings in now, and... seven he's fluent in? Something like that. Oh, another that'd be good for you to react to might be "El Amor En Ti". It's his own composition, and it's a quartet. With himself. As in, he sings one verse as a baritone, one as a tenor, one as a soprano, and one as a rock star. He doesn't just go into those ranges, he _embodies_ those _voice types._ Singing the exact same note as a baritone, he'll feel like he's reaching for it, pushing for it, and then as a tenor he sounds like a tenor extending his range downward to get the note. It's bonkers! Then there's "Ikanaide" from the Tokyo Jazz Festival, in the wonderful green sweater. That, I believe is his Grand-Masterpiece. Every single note, every breath, every sound, every gesture is flawless and full of emotion. "Ikanaide" (EE-kah-NAH-ee-DAY) means "Please don't go" and as the composer intended in the 80's, every single utterance of that word in the song carries subtly different emotion. The most impressive notes, to me, in that (and in many others) are the ones he _doesn't_ sing, at the end. \*chef's kiss* It's so cool that you picked up on the theme of exploring and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with the human voice, given that that's exactly what this song is about! He's literally singing to inspire athletes to push their own boundaries and the boundaries of what is possible with the human body. Great instincts!

This song "Ogni Pietra" or Olympico was composed especially for him by the russian composer Igor Krutoy; premiered at the opening of the 2nd European Games. I think it's an Olympic inspirational song, judging by the English translation of the lyrics.
I like how the female choir answers his low voice while a male chorus responds to his upper registers. I think this is the best look at this performance but another shows the choruses on revolving stages below him.
This is basically an Olympic opening ceremony song, composed and performed for the Pan-European Games in Minsk in 2019. You can watch the recording of the actual opening ceremony performance... it's incredible! Not as good on audio as this one, which is why we generally recommend this one, but the staging is even _more_ magnificent. The entire stage rotates to face the entire stadium as he sings! The lyrics are variations on things like "You are strong, you can do anything!" Very triumphant and inspiring, just like the music. Heh, hopefully you're starting to also realize, Dimash isn't like some little "Aw, cute, look how good this competition singer is..." He's an absolute mega-star. He's been in Chinese TV shows, not just the singing competition, but acting in an actual drama. He's done movie credit roll songs for major movies (Endless Dimensions, at the end of the Italian sci-fi film "Creators: The Past" starring William Shatner and Gerard Depardieu). He always sells out his venues, he always donates all proceeds to local charities. He even very publicly and scoldingly quit western singing competition show, which he was _handily_ winning, when he found out he was competing against children. Ru Paul was _furious_ but Dimash handled it like the prince he essentially is. Dimash is enormous... just not as much in the west. Some of his more upbeat stuff is meant to help him break into the rest of the world, but in most of Asia he's like, Celine Dion or Mariah Carey level famous and well-regarded. Kazakhstan is a democracy, and doesn't have nobility, but if they did, he would be one for sure. His mother is a famous opera star, and his father was/is the Minister of Culture... though he was raised, in Kazakh tradition, by his grandparents. There, the oldest boy is raised by the grandparents to take up the responsibility of being the next generation's Patron. The second is sent to the military to be trained as a great war leader, and the third-born son is raised at home by the parents to be the next generation's anchor and caretaker and continue the household and the family line if anything should happen to the others. Kind of a cool cultural quirk there, I think!

This song was written specifically for Dimash and the opening ceremony of the II European games in Minsk in 2019. It was the first work that Igor Krutoy and Liliya Vinogradova created for Dimash. Its more like 6 octaves if you go by the notes not just the numbered octaves he touches- and tbh the super high whistle d8 and 7th octave he's hit a few times, are not really what id call useable notes in a song - thus he is normally singing in about a 4-5 octave range.
