I Melted Every Halloween Candy Together

HELLO FRIENDS!! Yes, we did something bad. Now, as you guys may know... I love halloween. From the spooky decorations to the costumes, to the candy, oh yes, THE CANDY. From Snickers to Skittles to every Reese's shape imaginable, I am a halloween candy fiend.
So I had a horrible idea that I decided to act upon: what if we tried to melt every halloween candy together into a single franken-candy... the one candy to rule them all, and in the darkness, satiate my desire for an entire bucket of halloween candy in just one bite?
Well, I guess we're gonna find out. Because that's what this video is about.
Big thank you to Mat & StephPat from the Theorists, as well as Danielle & Karla from Escazù for being the guest tasters of our franken-candy bar!! You can find them here:
/ @foodtheory (and their many other channels)
www.escazuchocolates.com/
Unfortunately, we are not doing a giveaway for this video because of how delicate the bar is, but we are currently doing a giveaway for a new custom chocolate bar on this short!! • Making A Custom Carame... and here is the link to the Google Form! forms.gle/LwDxJrBhsogEPVpw6

An occasional haunted house and giant blow ups of “scary” icons like Jack from the nightmare before Christmas. Adults in their finest spooky gear getting blasted lit on their front lawns welcoming passer-byers some food they had out. Always a blast to walk around dressed up even if you weren’t trick or treating, even more so when you know the ppl in the neighborhood. Odds are you’d stumble across someone you know who knew where a party was or invite you to theirs where they more likely than not served Halloween themed food items and drinks.

  • Candy fun facts: Candy Corn, also called Chicken Feed, has the flavors of honey, sugar, butter, and vanilla, and while people often hate it, its the top selling candy in the US with M&M's being a close second. Circus Peanuts taste like banana. Frank Mars, inventor of the Snickers, named the bar after his favorite horse named Snickers. The inventor of the Lollipop, George Smith, also named it after a favorite racehorse. Artificial banana flavor is supposedly based on an extinct banana, the Gros Michel banana, instead of the modern Cavendish, though most chemists think it's just because banana candies tend to use isoamyl acetate or 'banana ester' that smells very like banana, though it and the Gros Michel do taste similarly 'fake'. If you dilute isoamyl acetate it apparently smells like pears! (its also the compound that bees release when they sting you to attract more bees!) And last fact, if you want to blow a big bubble with bubble gum, you have to chew until it has no flavor/sugar in it! Sugar doesn't stretch, so if its still sweet you won't get decent bubbles.

Water will make the chocolate grainier, so you have to keep the temperature low enough to not have so much steam getting in there either and just wait for it to slowly melt. Low temps also help it not get overcooked. I do chocolate dipping every year and it helps the chocolate be smoother for that too. I really want to try the chocolate combo!

  • I'm from Denmark and is just overwhelmed by all the kinds of candy! We have some Americans in our city and they gave out candy this Halloween. My kids love all candy (like myself) but they hated the American candy! It was too sweet as they said. 😂

  • You also did a very beautiful job of covering it in chocolate and then drizzling the tootsie and caramel over it. It looked like something you might get out of a Sees Candy box.
