    • Is it really that bad? I’ve avoided it like the plague because I grew up with two dysfunctional adult children and none of it seemed good enough for me to repeat. I am even more taken aback by how many unhappily married people there are. I wonder what the happily married ones know that the rest do not..?

    • @@annak6537I know a lot couples who have been married for +20 years and don't plan on divorcing but they're not happy AT ALL. The secret for these couples that never divorce is that one of them (in most cases the woman) has a very low self-esteem and 0 self respect and ends up forgetting multiple times the cheating, the emotional abuse and sometimes even physical abuse.

  • ohhh, boy, I love that last line! "You want someone who can pick up the other end of the couch!" I think that is the perfect example of what you should look for in a marriage. You don't want someone who's going to sit there and look pretty all day, you don't want someone who's going to make someone else do everything for them (which would end up leaving you to deal with everything in the end), but you don't necessarily want someone who's exactly like you either (two people on the same end of the couch is going to be more of a drag than a success). Sometimes you'll find someone who picks up the other end of the couch but then holds you back, and other times they might push you too far and make you feel guilty about dropping the couch after you can't take it anymore. It ain't easy find the right partner. There are so many romance stories out there that show us the happily ever after, the perfect dream relationship, but they rarely ever show us what it actually means to find your match. Not the perfect person, but the person you find the greatest harmony with. Not true love, but honest love. The person who wants to see you succeed and be happy even if it doesn't necessarily include them.

    • The young adults today want and expect too much. They think they are special. Everybody thinks they're special. And the right person for them will know how special they are and fill all the voids in their lives.. But the problem is NO ONE IS SPECIAL. And everyone needs to climb down from their high horse. And be realistic. We are all flawed. No one will 100% perfect be for anyone. And people need to willing to work on their marriage rather than running to divorce the second it gets hard. Marriage ebbs and flows. People today overthink over analyze relationships. It's ridiculous. I knew the second I saw my husband he was it for me. 2 weeks of dating we got engaged. 3 months later we got married. In March we will celebrate 28years of marriage. No our marriage isn't perfect. But he is the RIGHT person for me. *We met at a friend's house. dating apps weren't a thing. They shouldn't be a thing now.

Even in 2023 they still get the whole deal: cook, maid, therapist, mommy. But women? No way.....we get the crap end of the deal almost every time. Most Women globally (regardless of their income level) marry guys who earn more than them (That's a verifiable stat). A divorce would be a financial suicide for many guys so despite being miserable their incentive is to stay married. It's that simple. Your conclusion is as stupid as saying that women were happier in marriages a century ago because the divorce rates were lower. If they weren't being treated right, they would've initiated divorce more. That 70% stat just proves that women are much much more likely to end a marriage, which is true.

    • @@echognomecal6742 I definitely don’t care about anybody’s choice of fashion. You posted the original comment I actually didn’t even notice it until I read your comment. It’s called a response, it’s what you do to public comments on KZhead videos. Starting a dialogue ya know it’s what we do on the internet
