Met him at comic con a few years back. He was promoting an mma fighter based comic book venture. I saw him just sort of cruising the floor and I elbow poked my girlfriend and said, "Holy shit, is that the baby faced assassin, the warmaster!?!". She was like "Who?". I rubberneck to see his badge and, lo and behold, it's Josh Barnett. I make introductions and try to contain myself as to not bring any unwanted attention. I comment on how how he looked bigger on TV (from watching him in PRIDEfc etc.) he responds with "I weigh 250 lbs but I do hear that a lot..." then he graciously took time to take a picture with me. I had no idea he was a magic player, otherwise our encounter would have been less awkward and fan-boyish as we would have more common ground than my minimal BJJ training and his world class catch wrestling and MMA experience. Point being he has a job to do in marketing himself as a professional athlete, and might come off as a hard ass sometimes, but in my candid experience with Josh, he was a friendly, open, humble, down to earth guy.
This is awesome. DIdn't know Barnett was so cool. Metal and magic, awesome.

I thought Magic was dead. Went to a comic book shop in Toronto in '07 or '08 and there was a Magic event going on. Place was packed. At that time I hadn't seen or heard about Magic since '94/'95.
