And also hearing him talking passionately about just playing the game with his friends. I don't listen too his music, but I really like his attitude towards a hobby like this. Keep it going and more power to him. He worked to be able to buy stuff that he wants and he deserves it.

  • Love this conversation, love how super chill post is, and actually so down to earth and connected to gaming. baldur's gate took steam and gamers by storm, as guessed. VR is too expensive for a lot of people. Quest was cheap but a good headset like the index is about 1000 bucks and trackers for more vr experience can easily throw you over 1500-1600 bucks. Once that tech is cheaper, VR will explode. Once it's normalize or part of consoles, it could take off quickly. I use my Index every weekend.

Apparently, another grading company was running a promotion for that card. 2 airline tickets (to go there and back) to see it getting graded in person, a custom slab label, $1k gift card, booster boxes and extra goodies. The guy instead sent it psa and it got a 9.

It's one of those games that even computers built to play it can still lose because of all of the permutations of move options per turn based on different decks, game skill, and luck can just flip a match in a single turn. It really is Chess in a card game. I've never been that good at the normal 60 card variants or even Commander but, for some reason I always place high in Limited on pre-release and release nights for sets. Its worth about $2.7 canadian. Not sure exactly how income tax works on something like this? Is it a capital gain? If its taxed normally 53% of that goes to income tax leaving $1.269m left (roughly, I know not all of it will be at 53% but most will), if 100% of that is put into safe, slow growth div investments it will yield about $55k per year which will be taxed at about 30%. Def wildly life changing though and if invested well and not spent it is an amazing nest egg. But Toronto is just too expensive.
