I mean...that's some joke being played on us all!

    • PS the guttering and North facing wall of my rather splendid Gothic style manor house set in 27½ lush green acres on the outskirts of Oxford is in somewhat dire need of renovation/improvement. All donations received gratefully without hesitation nor anything to the contrary, notwithstanding all prior written consent with regards the building team and council's permission to erect a summer house due to the occasional desire to indulge one's fancy of hosting parties in August as the long shadows of late summer's evenings stretch out making us slip into daydream-like states of consciousness, sitting in deck chair 's with glasses of red wine. 🎩

    • He wasn't born in Ireland, he was born in England, he has Irish heritage through his parents. He has British citizenship. I only checked as I thought he was born in Limerick but he was born in England, he calls himself a plastic paddy often in his shows. From his Wikipedia. Carr was born on 15 September 1972, in Hounslow, England, the second of three sons, born to Patrick James "Jim" Carr (born 1945), an accountant who became the treasurer for computer company Unisys, and Nora Mary (née Lawlor; 19 September 1943 - 7 September 2001). His Irish parents were married in 1970 and separated in 1994, but never divorced.Carr spent most of his early life in south Buckinghamshire, where he attended Farnham Common School and Burnham Grammar School. He completed sixth form at the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe, where he says his academic potential was identified and nurtured. Carr's family remained in contact with their Irish roots and made trips to Limerick and Kilkee. After earning four 'A' grades at the GCE Advanced Level exams, Carr read social science and political science at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He graduated with a first in 1994. Carr went on to work in the marketing department at Shell, but took voluntary redundancy in January 2000, as he felt "miserable" there. He performed his first paid stand-up gig later that month, having only done his first unpaid pub show the previous month.

I couldn't really take it, I just find that the jokes kind of turn me off, personally... I think they rely a little too much on shock value and swear words and being "edgy", only I don't find them to be edgy, shocking or that clever... They're kind of just those classic short jokes that you might find on a joke site on the internet, slightly repackaged. For the most part, I'm sure some are better than others.
