Things that WILL BREAK on your FJ Cruiser (and how to fix them)
The things that will break or fail in your FJ Cruiser, and how to modify your FJ Cruiser to fix these issues. I only mention the things that are specific to the FJ Cruiser. Things that are more common amongst all cars (or are failures that result in wear and tear) are not included. I hope this was helpful!

What's the most recent thing that you had to fix/replace??
Wheel bearings both front wheels and a new serpentine belt.
Windshield, after accumulating 8 rock chips
catalytic converter and alternator back to back. $3000 USD. 2008 Voodoo Blue with 112K miles. Windshield was replaced twice. Battery twice (every 7 yrs).
Transmission, radiator hose, battery clamp, all the bearings, some part of the frame near the wheels, and lord knows whatever else the dealership charged me. I basically bought a second fj in my repairs. I sincerely desire to expire.
Running strong @ 177k, but MAF sensor & thinking I need a new cam sensor.
how to fix the hole in my life from not having fj?
I hear there's a nice FJ80 for sale...
Just buy one
It took my wife and I 13 months to find a replacement for the one the tree fell on.
Can't have mine😂!
People that own them , don't often sell them. They become heirlooms.
Don’t forget about the bearings and axle seals! I also recommend upgrading the exhaust. It bends easily off-roading. An additional comment on the windshield.... don’t use aftermarket glass and definitely replace the upper trim shield with the windshield. FJs rock!
Great points!
I've had mine replaced four times (2010). Original trim shield still in place with no problems. Now if someone could perfect a "rubberized" windshield.
For the 2010 - 2014 FJ's, the transfer case and transmission breathers were extended into the engine bay next to the battery. But they left the rear diff and e-locker breathers the same. The only troublesome part I've had on my 2012 TT is the MG/CLT relay, which I've had to replace twice. Another annoying thing is the drive shaft slip yoke. It has a tendency to stick. So when you come to a stop, when it lets go you get a feeling like you've been bumped from behind. The solution is to keep the slip yoke well greased.
Beauty, thanks for sharing your experience!
I've had that same problem and thought it was my trans going out lmao
Steering wheel chatter was built in the original FJ's so your wrists didn't get belted to pieces on gravel roads. The short wheel based cruisers of the 70's an 80's were the same. It makes them fun to drive
Watching from the backseats of my Toyota Yaris, daydreaming about having an Fj.
I hope your dream comes true one day 🙏
You can do it! I was daydreaming in the back of a Honda Fit. I’m 8 years into ownership with over 100,000 miles and it’s never been on a tow truck or left me stranded. Such a predictable vehicle, and very capable off-road bone stock with some all terrain tires.
i got a fj for my first car don’t regret it anyday so much customization options for them and the driving experience is awesome
@@swifty5530 Yeah there's a sharp right turn on the way to the golf course that I accelerate through whenever I get to that spot. Love driving my FJ.
Yoooooo lmao me too !!! I’m in my 2014 Toyota Yaris and watching these videos dreaming of getting one ASAP 😞
Great video brother! You should be a radio host or narrator, you have an outstanding vocal presence.
Haha I appreciate that. Welcome to the show 😛
Bro, I have just started to look at FJs, I am currently in a state of searching and gathering information only, but ... your FJ is just perfect. Manual, slightly lifted, tasteful ... I love it. You just earned another subscriber. Thank you!!!
I’ve been catching up on some if you’re videos and it’s making me so pumped to start working on our FJ! Except now I feel like I have so many questions of your opinion on certain things lol keep it up! It’s entertaining and I love the video quality!
I had a 2008 FJ, bright yellow (we called it the short bus). Owned it 6 years never had anything break on it with 60,000 miles. I lived in Seattle and I would pick up my coworkers when the weather was bad. Now I own a 2007 FJ. I bought it in 2018 and it only had 50,000 miles on it. 6-speed manual. Not even a scratch on the skid plate. It's so reliable and fun to drive. Where I live now, every day is an offroad adventure.
That's so nice!
I've got ~210,000+ miles and I tow a full-sized trailer with mine. When I bought it, it came with the steering wheel fluid leaking. I fixed it the same week. Since then, the only thing that's "broken" is the headlamps and one of my battery fuses rusted and needed replacing. I did my brakes once in 2021. That's about it. Not a single rattle or squeak. I think my FJ is a starfish and repairs himself so as not to inconvenience me. 🥰 But also I regularly do full checks at the mechanic and tell them to fix anything they find broken. They get so excited but then never find anything. 😅 Happy travels!
I would love to see a video about those switches. Thanks for the content....you help make it fun.
Appreciate it! And for sure about the switches - seems to be a popular one! Will be putting something together about those switches soon
Mod vid is up 👍 kzhead.info/sun/hqlxltyCaqmNdH0/bejne.html
When you replace brake pads, I recommend Akebono. They're pricey, but you can feel the difference the additional money gets you. I got them when I got my FJ last year per Scotty Kilmer's recommendation. When you change pads go ahead and do a little TLC on the calipers, especially if you take your FJ swimming. Anytime you come out of deep water, cycle the brakes several times to shed the water and heat up the brakes in general to get rid of water also. After mud as well. Your FJ is like a baby, keep the bottom good and clean and everybody's happy!
Great tips!
Alternator went out @ 65,000. Otherwise just normal maintenance. Thanks for your videos!
Love this video, I am now getting know your FJ more . Thanks for sharing 🥰👍👏
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Just bought an '08 FJ. Going to be sealing the roof rack track cause it's leaking... Lots of good videos out there for the repair so maybe just a mention in your next video.
Just cleaned the throttle body and it runs like new again. It has 264+ KM on it...Love this truck.
Thank you very much for producing this KZhead. I walked out of an Olympia, Washington, USA dealership last night with a 2014 FJ Cruiser. Excited to use KZheads like yours to keep ahead of things. The drive home to Seattle last night was made fun BECAUSE of the horrendous weather we were enjoying. Cheers to you!
That's awesome!
Just paid off my Toyota X-Runner. I been thinking of getting a 4x4 vehicle. Of course I gotta go with the FJ. Buying my first home before I can purchase my FJ. Thank You for the video, now I know what to keep an eye out for.
Glad to see you pulled out! Was worried there for a second.
New sub to your channel, enjoy your content. I’ve got a 2010 base model but with all the 4x4 options. Only thing I’ve done is LED’s all the way around, 2” leveling kit, and 33” tires. Other than being on my 3rd windshield nothing has broke yet. Knock on wood, only has 89,000 miles also. Also dropped transfer case slightly so CV boots shouldn’t come apart.
Awesome video thanks! I have a white '11 with 290,000 miles. Maintenance pays for itself in the long run. :)
The surprising one I ran in to is the wheel studs. They are super soft metal. I snapped one off hand tighting, then looked at the rest and several others were elongate. they can be replaced with modified lexus studs; but, strange to build such a great off-road machine and cheap-out on the studs.
hey dude cool video I've had my fj for about 8 years in September can't complain the only one time it died on me was in my own garage it was the battery but after 5 years but that was my fault for taking to long to change it but from there no problem the only things that I've changes is the oil ,the time belt ,brakes, oh the back door wouldn't open but besides that can't complain it's been pretty good to me I'm a us citizen that lives in Mexico so I come back and forth every day for work 😊
Yes! I need help with my 2008 FJ Manual 6 speed Diff Lock Mod! Please make a video on how you did this! Much appreciated!!!
You got it brother ✌🏼
Thanks for the info ! I'd love to see how those transfer cases switches
Glad it was helpful! Also damn the switches is a popular ask!
@@stokedtour haha I bet it is a popular request. I didn’t even finished my sentence. I meant to say I’d love to see how those switches are tapped/wired up.

👍 and subbed Your funny as bro! 😎 Loved the video, this is the first one I found thankfully and can’t wait to watch the rest. I have a 2012 model And just ticked over 183000km best cars ever! Take care, can’t wait to see more content, thank you for taking the time to make the videos 👏
Dude, I love you man! Great videos! I love Toyota! I have a 20’ Hakone Edition 86 and a 21’ 4RUNNER. Oh what a feeling!
Haha glad you like them!
Great video, thanks! I have a 2008 FJ with 209,000 miles on it. It’s been a solid machine but I have some wearing parts that need replaceing!
Glad you enjoyed it! These things last forever
Just got my 2013 fj! And iam in love
The Lean is normal when you lifted it you needed to add 1/4 spacer on drivers side strut tower. This takes the lean out. When ony the driver is in vehicle and the gas tank right under the driver you have more weight on that side. You can buy lift springs and the good ones will have 1 spring a little taller to compensate for the lean. I own a 2010 in iceburg white myself. Great rigs.
Your steering wheel chatter is a result of the needle bearings being worn out inside the front differential where the cv axles enter the front diff. There is a replacement kit from East Coast Gear Supply which replaces them with needle bearing replacement sleeves. Be sure to get the needle bearing removal tool and sleeve install tool. Info is on ECGS website. This would also be a great time to upgrade the cx axle inner boots with heavy duty ones. Can all be done in a day in the driveway.
Great tip! Thanks for that
Yes, a video on transfercase switches 😊
Hahahah! Lol thanks for the shout out my dude! Hit the nail on the head with this one man! Great content as usual. We definitely gotta chill soon bro, weather is getting tooo nice, got a few more mini-projects to start/finish 🤟
Anytime man! And yes definitely soon ✌
Thank you great video!!!
2007 FJ. 310,000KM currently. Only owned it for 2 years. Failures: Alternator - died when backing into my driveway, pretty easy replacement done by myself in the driveway for a couple hundred $. Seized brake calipers - front and rear, at different times. Sway bar bushings. Transmission 'shudder' - partial flush on the trans fluid and added 'anti-shudder' additive. Passenger side CV boot torn, replaced both inner and outer boots myself with factory Toyota boots. Replaced (what appeared to be original) shocks with Bilstein 5100's - much better ride, and added a 1" lift while at it - shocks hadn't failed, but at 300,000+KM on them, it was time.
Thanks for sharing!
For "steering wheel chatter", there's a little plastic pin that keeps upper column true with lower column. The reason for the plastic pin is due to safety. In the event of a collision, this pin is sheared, and the steering column is designed to collapse in on itself. You might have inadvertently sheared it by turning the wheel without assist of power steering. I made this mistake on mine when working on the car. You can either replace the column, have yours spot welded, or live with it. 🙂
Thanks for the tip!
@@stokedtour - Hope it solves your issue, sir. 🙃
It’s funny lol I have a Toyota RAV4 and I’ve always noticed it tilts more on the drivers side and I’ve always said the same thing. I’m like, I really need to lose weight 😆 good video and loved the music!
Great minds think alike ✌
Awesome vídeos!! Who makes your front bumper?
Hey man. Nice video! Love the FJ content. I have an 07 FJ myself with 220k miles (about 354k km). Bought it used with 140k on the clock. So far it's been ridiculously reliable for me. I maintain it meticulously and do my own fluid/ oil changes and spark plugs. I've had a few things break/go bad for me. Including: power steering pump (twice), rear diff bearings, brakes (twice), wheel bearing, serpentine belt, windshield (three times 😬), aaaand my transfer case needed replacing. Honestly a pretty low maintenance rig given the maintenance. The transfer case replacement was unexpected, but I guess it got contaminated somehow? Hopefully the engine and transmission last a while with good maintenance. Trying to get this beast to 300k miles. And yeah, I'd love to see an in depth vid on the diff breathers. Been wanting to do that mod since moving to the pacific northwest. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for sharing the maintenance history of your machine! Good to know some things to be looking out for. And yes - I'll have to put together a video for that!
@@stokedtour nice! Looking forward to that. Also, what bumper is on your FJ? Looks awesome
The bumper is a self weld kit from Coastal Offroad www.coastaloffroad.com/
@@stokedtour cool thanks for that info!
I've had my 07 FJ for about 30K mi over the last 3 years. I've done the batter, breaks(all 4 caliper, rotor, pads), steering universal joint (stupid rust), tires and oil changes. The dealer had just replaced the rear axle gear set and locker. The cars reliability is just boring. I took it on a 600 mile trip with 150 miles of off roading and it never complained even a little. Although I was very over loaded and probably will need a set of wheel bearings a bit early in the back. But that's totally my fault.
Great vids!
Drivers seat height adjustment leaks off every week or so. 2012 with less than 60k miles on the clock. Oil changes and windshield replacement so far. Second hand cream puff out of Scottsdale, AZ
Just picked up a silver 07 and I absolutely love it! These things are built like a tank. Front passenger side seat belt retractor just died. Ordered a replacement assembly for $400 ouch,
Toyota has not updated their replacement part for the belt kit based on previous recall - Dealer notification remedy. Updated belt kit part only cost $140CDN and was very easy to install. Had my front driver seat belt kit replaced last year.
Very nice vids….and love youy FJ!
Appreciate the heads up here. I have a 2013 and only go offroad in the winter. No lift. So far l is well not I do use 4WD and crawl control just to keep it working. Thanks again Now subscribed Goderich ON
Awesome, and thanks for the support! ✌
On the 1980s F100s they all had an extra shim on the outside side of the shocks to make up for the camber of the road. Is was only 1/2 inch and bareley noticable but on the flat concrete you could just pick it.
I never got a chip in my windshield, but Shen I traded my original FH, I bought a Mercedes Vito, with a giant windscreen. I cracked it in the first week of ownership and put a new shield in every year. That weird design gives amazing sun protection here in Oz. I bake in the Vito. I now have another FJ (paid more in 2022 with 150 000 than I did in 2016 new) and loving the shade driving out west.
As regards the lean, the FJ uses pretty soft springs so with the age and miles and off-roading, it may be time to replace the springs.
the lean, with a lift, is typically due to the gas tank being in that side. There is a spacer kit that corrects for the lean.
I've got a 3rd gen 4runner, but I love Toyotas; therefore, I subscribed! I just got some rebuilding the entire front-end! Newer version SPC UCA's, and Dobinsons IMS shocks and their tallest springs, because I plan to upgrade all the bumpers and ad new sliders. I replaced the lower ball joints 1st, then the LCA's bushings with Whiteline. I also replaced the steering rack, and sway bar bushing with Energy Suspension. After this I plan on rebuilding the rear-end suspension, but need some time... 2 days of non-stop work at it feels as if all 7 dwarves beat the shit out of me with clubs for hours! The LCA's bushings and fitting the washers really kicked my ass! It looks funny to as the front-end is up like a bro-dozer. Lol It will level out nicely when the rear lift is done. Thank you for your content and great sense of humor! Go anywhere! 🛣🏞🗻🏕🏖🏜🌄🌌
haha thanks! Totally hear you on the LCA bushings lol, that took me a full day to deal with, and then another week to figure out my alignment hahaha. Sounds like a solid build on the 4runner - i absolutely love the 3rd gens ✌
2007 Fj 93k miles, front right wheel bearing, left rear wheel bearing, rear diff pinion bearing, lower streering shaft, alternator, 2 pulleys. Plus regular maintenance itmes, brakes, shocks, coils springs.
My radiator started to leak. Replaced it. Driver door lock actuator died going to replace that soon. Other then that my 2007 FJ Cruiser runs drives and looks like it’s a about 2 years old. Just a baby FJ with 170000 miles. 👍🏻. Enjoyed the video.
Honestly it is mind blowing how reliable the FJ is 🤯
@@stokedtour so true. (One more thing) I noticed some grease seeping from the CV axle. I cleaned it and sprayed it with some AT205 reseal. It stopped leaking. 👍🏻
Just hit 200k on my fj and from your list I have replaced: Both upper and Lower control arms (factory) both front break calipers ( factory) , wheels and tires ( 33 on bfg's) windshield. Besides that regular maintenance and abuse.almost forgot, replaced the exhaust due to offroading fun day. Now I am concern about the front bumper noise you mentioned..
The little bumper noise is harmless! It was just annoying me, that was all haha
2008 bought new. Only alternator I had to replace. Will buy a sequoia really soon!
I just picked up my 2008 bone stock rig.....What wheels and tires are you running? Also, what lift? Thanks man, great content! Liked and subbed!
The early autos have torque converter problems if you don't 1) follow transmission maintenance and 2) add a transmission cooler. For some reason Toyota didn't add an aux cooler and it allows the trans to overheat
your english pronunciation is very clear and easy to understand.
thx you very much, buddy...i am thinking to buy one this year 2007 or 2008... is it a good year to buy?
Steering wheel chatter is probably caused by worn tie rods, steering shaft coupler, or the steering u-joint. Any one of these three are likely causing your issue.
You did mention replacing the upper control arm if going for a lift. Can I still replace without the lift to give give me a better chase against bumpy roads and aggressive potholes?
Hey man, with the 07-09 6 speed manual. Do you get a ticking noise when at idle neutral?
Ahhh. the 'Toyota Tilt' the battery, gas tank and driver all on the left hand side. Mine is 2010/180 and still bad ass!
Do you still have the FJ? Love your vids man I hope another one comes soon
Its leaning as in Australia where we have em the, drivers side is on the rh so the fat driver will equalise the weight RH drive
Only thing that has worn out so far was my steering kingpin shaft thing, FJ only had 45k KM on it. I've owned it since new (2014) and that was only thing that failed, I'm at 98k KM now and nothing else has been changed other then Oils and a new set of tires 3 months ago. Bonus is I haven't lost a penny on it yet value and mechanically wise.
I love seeing these kinds of comments roll in to confirm my hunch that these things are invincible ✌ Happy to hear that for yours!
What do you think of LCA skid plates dude? love your channel. shocked at how deep your voice is hahahaha
I bought a 2008 FJ 6 speed mauel and it is by far the best car I have ever owned ! I bought it new now has 250,000 miles and runs like a champ ! I only run sythetic oil in it !
Got my 07 with 200,000 kms on it. Ive now got it up to 345 xxx. Mechanics were shocked when they saw how good of condition it is in. Only downside ,, frame rust -_-. Had to replace my exhaust, both front and rear brakes, ac compressor and lifted the front 2.5 inch attached a 3/4 inch disc on top of the driver side puck and it leveled that driver side dip.
Yeah frame rust is a big issue on these things if you live in the salt belt. A lot of the ones i looked at in Canada were pretty full of rust, I'm lucky with my find!
Great vid! I hope I won’t have to doing a transfer case fix. Mine’s still working (knock on wood). Question: u mentioned there were multiple breathers. I of the ones in engine bay which are high enough for me not to worry about since if water is at that level, I’m already in trouble. I relocated my rear diff breather to the gas tank inlet. Am I missing any others? And are those at the same height as the other brothers in the engine bay? One thing that stopped working, and I can’t seem to find how to fix it is: the light on the dash that indicates that my headlights are on. Pls give me some direction. Second thing: the automatic shut off of my headlight doesn’t work anymore. Killed my battery becuz of it. Advice? Lastly, the automatic driver side window lowering switch lowers the window but doesn’t one touch anymore. Again, great content. Would love to head up your way sometime for an overlanding trip. I’m in SF ca.
Thanks! What year FJ do you have? And what transmission? For my 09 MT, there is a transfer case breather that is clipped via a rubber hose to the back of the engine block and another breather that is just on the surface of the transmission block (similar to how the rear diff breather is on the casing of the unit). I was able to unclip the transfer case breather and extend higher, but I couldn't do anything about the transmission breather since I had to stick my entire arm into the space between the firewall and engine block to find it with my fingers. The only way you can get at that one is if you took apart the transmission haha. As for the light on the dash, my FJ doesn't seem to have one that indicates that my low beam headlights are on...i only have a high beam indicator. Did they add this light on later models?? Also yes! I'm sure we will meet on the road someday!
I changed my driver side wheel bearing after it had gone bad. I hear it's common failure on all large vehicles especially if you go with larger tires.
True, my wheel bearings also went at one point! Yeah i'm sure they wear out faster with larger tires
The good trip clips break over time
i spent the last 13 hours trying to figure out what a trip clip is...still have nothing lol
Could you make a HowTo on all the different gears and when to use them? At what speed? Atrack?
Great points to add!
I've got a 2012 FJ AT, and I am experiencing steering wheel jerking if I drive over rough terrain or dips in the road etc., the steering wheel will violently jerk in whatever direction the dip is. I don't have any lift or modification, and just 17" wheels with Bridgestone Dueler tires. I also notice serious skipping across the road at highway speeds if there is a bump across the road, I can feel the rear end go sideways. I've got new struts and shocks, did not solve that issue. I've asked mechanics about the steering wheel issues as well as the feeling of not being planted on the road, and they said everything looks fine..... I havent driven another FJ so I don't know whats normal and what's not. Any suggestions?
yes please, breather video !!!
My FJ kinda has that steering clunk/clatter shit and when going over bumps it gets knocked around. Kinda like a bad tie rod but my tie rods are fine. I ordered the upper and lower intermediate steering shaft parts which should be the fix. I would look at those.
I have a 09 automatic with 130000 km. My issues were, rear ring and pinion blow in a simple snow surface, very common failure as I know in the, alternator and starter. It is using 33" and 3" lift.
please do a video for modifying the activation of the Atrac and Lock differencial !
Hope you found it! kzhead.info/sun/hqlxltyCaqmNdH0/bejne.html
@@stokedtour thanks
Snapped CV axles 3 times, inner + outter tie rods 2 times, on my 4th front wheel bearing due to water crossings, throwout bearing squeak on manual transmission, gas tank straps, rear e locker malfunction (bad limit switch) + everything you stated. 2007, 288000km, no engine problems, oil changes every 10000km with the cheapest offbrand synthetic oil lol
Haha amazing, thanks for sharing all of that!
I’m changing my friends squeaky clutch release bearing right now. Is it normal to have lots of fluid between the transmission and transfer case?
they have lean cause the fuel tank battery steering and brakes components are all on the drivers side. fj even has left and right specific springs but that apparently isn’t enough. my 4th gen 4runner which is identical to the fj had lean. fixed it with coilovers and small rear spacer
And, yes, please do the shifter switch bypass video.
omg I just realized you're Jack Black. Also here it is: kzhead.info/sun/hqlxltyCaqmNdH0/bejne.html
Hey just FYI my steering wheel has that chatter too! It’s actually a steering shaft bushing and it’s pretty easy to replace
Ooooo thanks for the tip! I'll have to check it out
I just love FJ keep on teaching how it works
Thanks, will do!
Hit a curb with my rear wheel in the passenger side, normal turning speed and i dont see any visible damages, should i be worried or have it checked? Thank you
Hey! Was nice running into you at the McDonald’s, got to see to your FJ live in the flesh, she’s a beauty!
Was great to meet you too Nick! Any questions, feel free to reach out to me anytime 👍
The lean is because they put the battery and gas tank and.... driver, on the driver side. Or so I’m told
Good point - now I wonder if JDM models are balanced with the right hand drive

I got an fj, got this annoying shaking sound that I can figure out where it’s coming from and it happens when I pass a spear bump or sometimes when I’m above 80km/hr… and I also got an oil pressure alert light on after servicing the car… ( I changed the oil filter again and it went off after a while
CV boot is the hardest to replace, mainly getting to it to replace
Hoping I don’t have to do a boot replace anytime soon
Leaning FJ. Looks like you have OME Springs. Old Man EMU springs are handed. Meaning, driver side is taller and marked with an "A".
I clicked because I just purchased one, but I must say I ❤️ your voice
haha thank you 😌
what upper control arms do you have I have a 2007 FJ and I went off roading and the stock control arm straight up let go of the ball joint
It's the FJC upper arms by JBA Offroad
Have a question, I have a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser two wheel drive automatic and the ABS and the differential light came on when driving on freeway and won't turn off back wheel skids when I turn under 10 miles, I changed the ABS speed sensors and the wire for the speed sensors on the back nothing ABS lights are still on I did run into some heavy mud-puddles when it was raining. Any ideas?😢
One of my suspension shocks just started leaking oil after an off road trip. I didn't expected for the to fail so fast, but I think they are the stock ones 14 years already.
Always a good idea to upgrade the shocks! It's a pretty cheap one too!
@@stokedtour Agree I think I will put KYB shocks.
Thank you for the bumper tip! I haven’t verified yet but I’m sure that’s the noise I’ve been looking for as I’ve checked darn near everything.
I hope it is! When you do check it out, take off the crush bumper completely and drive around the street to see if the noise is still there. That's how I figured out it was the bumper. The funny thing is that nothing feels loose when you first inspect it. I think I remember reading on FJC forums saying that they fixed it by adding a few shims or washers in between.
What skid plate did you go with. Looking for one now.
The new skid plate I have is from OKX! www.okexpedition.ca/
My control arm ball joints are making a lot of noise after getting a 3in lift about 2 years ago. Should also look into that CV issue but didnt notice any leaks.
I had a ball joint squeak for the longest time after the lift, and to try fix the squeak, i replaced my UCAs, cleaned and greased my sway bushings, and greased and cleaned my LCA bushings. The noise was still there. I was dumbfounded until the LCA ball joints got replaced. Noise was finally gone 🙌 Of course it took me replacing and cleaning every single suspension part before i find the source of the noise LOL
@@stokedtour would love to know what UCA product you switched to--came here looking specifically to find out!
JBA Offroad UCA's!
I bought my 2011 FJ from a private dealer at 96k miles and i’m at 120k now, it looks like the guy had some aftermarket old man emu shocks installed but idk how much the vehicle is lifted. Upper and lower control arm ball joints as well as outer tie rod ball joints do i need to replace my upper control arms with more length?
do you ever replace the transmission fluid, my one is 13model and AT, raed a few comments about do or not do, any clue?
It would be a very "good" idea to replace the AT fluid every 50,000 miles!
Recently bought an 07 FJ automatic. I need to replace the steering rack as the seals are leaking.
