We are so accustomed to sitting on chairs, that most of us can't sit on the ground anymore. It's like I learned that people before modern times walked on their tip-toes. This was before shoes with heels were invented, and it made it so that people had a completely different posture. If you look at antique and medieval paintings and sculptures, you can see this, but most people just assume it is some kind of stylised depiction. Nah, there's nothing to learn here. That light is utter rubbish and nobody in their right mind would spend hard earned cash on it. That lamp hasn't been "restored" or "repaired", it was patched together and will haze over, leak, and have piss poor light output for the few weeks it will hold together. The lousy paint he put on the damaged reflector will peel and fall off, further killing lumens downroad. I guess if you only have pennies to spare and don't really care about actual product performance or longevity then this kind of thing may impress. But it certainly won't fly in an industry where consumers are entitled brats and parts/repair warranties commonly push 2 to 3 years.
