  • Pretty decent. But certainly wouldnt put single insulated conductors box to box like that without bushing it...

    • What would a bush do?

      @moss_electrical_and_plumbing@moss_electrical_and_plumbing7 ай бұрын
    • @moss_electrical_and_plumbing u have a gap between boxes therefore Single insulated cable unprotected between boxes. Bush would be like a condit. Although personally, I would ut s coupler between boxes. No way I'd do it like that

      @peterigrenyi9176@peterigrenyi91767 ай бұрын
    • There was no gap between the boxes, they are butted up to each other and sealed.

      @moss_electrical_and_plumbing@moss_electrical_and_plumbing7 ай бұрын
    • @moss_electrical_and_plumbing well still. Between enclosures... I just wouldn't. Same way I wouldn't do that between two patress boxes. Use double insulated cable, coupler, or Bush.

  • Good video, nice explanations - the only thing is that there should be 2 locknuts when armouring in a plastic enclosure…

  • Hi, I came across this video and its what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've subscribed to the channel, because it very informative. I understand almost all of it except one aspect, and would appreciate if someone could please help. In the last segment 'Socket' where you put SWA socket to the left of the 2G socket, where does the Earth cable from the SWA gland go? I can see that you take the feed (L & N) and Earth from 2 gang socket on the right. The 3 core SWA cable has its own Earth plus Earth from the Steel Wire. Is the Earth from Gland combined with the Earth (1 of 3 cores) and then connected to the adjacent box? Thanks in advance.

    • Thanks for leaving a comment, and a big thank you for subscribing! 😁 The Earth from the SWA is terminated with the Earth in the cable in one of the socket terminals 👍

    • @@moss_electrical_and_plumbing Thanks, got it. So, I just combine (join) the Earth cable (1 of 3 cores) with the Steel Armour. And repeat at the other end. (I hope I understand you correctly. Cheers!

      @sharoztube@sharoztube9 ай бұрын
    • I think what moss is saying is that in the earth from the gland and SWA enter into the socket earth to terminate them. At the CU end both of these earth's will be connected to the earth terminal bar

  • is the original double socket a spur? if yes, the feed should go to the FCU then fused output connect to the double sockets and new extension, otherwise fused spur on a unfused spur may not be a good idea

    @SuperGP1000@SuperGP1000 Жыл бұрын
    • The existing socket was a 4mm radial circuit. You are correct though, if it was a spur from say a ring circuit then the method of wiring for the new socket & FCU would be slightly different 👍
