Brutal CHAINSAW Test with Hydraulic Press

Ever wondered which chainsaw stands up best in a real-life durability test? We’re about to find out! In today’s ultimate showdown, we’re not just pressing random stuff - we’re testing the might of chainsaws in a battle of endurance and toughness. We’ve rigged our hydraulic press to challenge these chainsaws like never before, ensuring everything is safe with Kevlar reinforcements and polycarbonate shields.
We're not stopping at chainsaws though; we're throwing an angle grinder into the mix to see how it holds up against our heavy-duty contenders. Will it cut it, or will the chainsaw reign supreme? Watch as we push these tools to their limits with close-up action shots and slow-mo’s that capture the raw power and precision at play.
Stay tuned till the end to see the aftermath and hear our thoughts on the surprising outcomes. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more intense tool tests and high-power hydraulic press action. We’ve got a ton of metal-bending, spark-flying action coming up, and trust us, you don’t want to miss what we’ll crush next!
And don't ever try anything like this at home! Chainsaws are really dangerous tools and shouldn't be played with!

  • The chain keeps popping off the bottom one because that is the slack part of the chain. The top saw is always going to win because the engine is pulling the chain from the tip across the bottom. If you could somehow run the bottom chainsaw backwards, it would be more of a fair fight, or flip the bottom saw upside down.

  • I think the problem with the chain jumping off is the lateral bending of the saw blade - you could, I'm sure, reinforce the saw blade on both sides with big chunks of angle iron welded to the blades or bolted through them to prevent lateral flex...

    @fat_biker@fat_biker6 ай бұрын
    • It's derailing the chain. Pulling it off the guide and throwing it off the sprockets. I believe it's because of the bottom saw is trying to cut on the up swing, blah blah physics blah kinetic energy blah rotation blah energy transfer blah derailed... Understand?

      @MrBrandonLindner@MrBrandonLindner6 ай бұрын
    • I don't believe a stabilized rail would do any better. I believe both saws need to be cutting on the draw side of the blade or it will derail the pushing chain every time.

      @MrBrandonLindner@MrBrandonLindner6 ай бұрын
    • The pulling side of the chain gets drawn into the sprocket, the pushing side is being pushed away from the sprocket. See my technical answer above.

      @MrBrandonLindner@MrBrandonLindner6 ай бұрын
    • If you flip the bottom saw I believe the top saw will derail due to the bottom saw having the advantage of gravity but maybe not due to centrifugal force but it still affects it in a positive way.

    • I have only seen grinder wheel disappear that fast if it's grinding something that's designed to be harder than grinder wheel like some high quality bicycle locks. I was surprised to find that chainsaw could do it that fast. Unfortunately there wasn't high speed footage to see if the chain chipped away fragments or was it actually converted into dust.

For the saw vs. saw, it seems that whatever saw is on top will win, as the tension is higher with the chain going back into the drive motor. If you want to try it again, I'd arrange it so that the undersides contact each other, so the tension on each is highest.
