I'm so bored of FFP, they should have capped players salaries 25 years ago when they started going crazy.
Why cap player salaries? All that does is increase revenue for billionaires. Why is that good?
@@russellward4624 That isn't true at all, the inflation of prices including tickets, tv packages, football boots shirts etc is all down to player salaries. I used to pay £3 to go to a Middlesbrough game as a 16 year old. No footballer needs to be earning £10m a year.

No he's not!! He worked for them as an advisor for a short time, so what.
They already made a bunch of videos on that. I suggest you go watch them
He has, he's said numerous times that there will be serious sanctions if City are found guilty. You can't just look at City's accounts and find it though. City's accounts are fine for FFP/PSR. It's fraud that is being alleged which is much harder for any expert to go through as there is no legal public evidence.
He's written loads of articles and spoken about it on here if you're interested
Get with it he's covered the life out of ffp catch yourself on
FFP isn't designed for the big clubs, just a smokescreen
Not really, the big clubs just have (very few) non-sporting assets that they can leverage... this buys Chelsea the year that has just gone. You can't sell it twice. Building this stuff is exactly what FFP is incentivising the not big clubs to do. They need their own revenue streams.
@@edmanning274Until I see any type of sanctons for Man City then I'll believe they're serious. It's impossible to have 115+ breaches and be guilty of nothing

He's never worked for City. He is an expert, its quite clearly a loophole that shouldn't be allowed. Otherwise I guarantee you, Newcastle will 'sell' their training ground for '£1bn'. This summer.
@@georgeyboy5256 Is the fair market value for it £1b? No it isn't, so lay off the hyperbole. It's a loophole that doesn't exist in the EFL. Premier League is a different story. End of.
@@georgeyboy5256 Not the same though is it. Chelseas hotels are sold for a fair price. They're in the rich area of London ffs. Newcastles training ground isn't anywhere close to being worth 1 billion. I dont understand how some of you people are missing very important pieces of context. You can't possibly be this stupid.
Some clash that lads!
So can the Newcastle owners start flipping properties under Newcastle on the side.
What’s wrong with the video and sound?
The look on Jim's face when Borson talks about Chelsea tells you all his feelings about that club. 😂 They desperate for the club to fail.
Ah, good to see Bilbo Baggins is still getting his airtime.
Don't hate the player, hate the game...
It wasn't 100 million that Real Madrid sold their piece of land for Simon it was 500 million
@johnhopkinson4054......Yes, and if I remember correctly, it was the 'local' government [Madrid] that bought it - amid vehement accusations that it was clearly doing so to bail out Real Madrid. I have never forgiven RM for this - I had always respected and admired this revered club and its wonderful history, but that all stopped when they basically cheated to stay in business.
Chelsea do no wrong in working around ffp . let it go Borson .
Hats off to Boehly, the guy is a genius! 🤣🤣🤣
Their should be a rule that these owners cannot sell of buildings and certain assets of the club... i.e training grounds, stadiums etc that belongs to the clubs!
I can see everton getting a points deduction off the back of this.
And cue the torrent of clubs selling everything they own to themselves. Marinakis should sell The City Ground to his shipping company for £500m .
Unfortunately, Forest don’t own the City Ground….thats the problem. Marinakis wants to buy it but the council won’t sell or extend the lease. Marinakis is currently buying several buildings and land in and around Nottingham so has more bargaining power 👍🏻
Curious if the delay is maybe tied to the agreement Boehly and Co made preventing them from selling Chelsea for a set period of time ? Also unbelievably poor from the PL if they couldn't anticipate related party sales or in fact the other valuation issues football has had of late like the pjanic and arthur swap deal .
chelsea is a bit ahead of the premier league with the hotels and 8 year contracts
selling properties has always been allowed under FFP, what is not allowed is selling them for more than they are worth and that value needs approving and could be challenged
But they can just values from A couple separate companies & make it worth what they saying as it’s a property is a rich part of London
Are the current house prices in the UK worth what they're being paid for? It's all a facade. It's only worth what the buyer is willing to pay. @@djrobst
@@djrobst who decides what something is worth, the premier league are valuing how much sponsors can pay that means there in control of clubs earnings

Sold the assets but kept the income stream - sounds like it can be challenged on the basis of an "arm's length transaction", or whether the fair market value is justified if the buyer's sold the income rights. Just like in F1, these FFP rules will end up with who's got the best accounting team
FFP is designed to limit smaller clubs and prevent the hegemony of the big clubs being threatened. It's no surprise that the Big Six are immune from meaningful consequence while other clubs lose points. That's the entire point of it.
My favorite part was where they clashed.
If this was Newcastle, it wouldn't be allowed.

They charged Everton because they (the PL) want them gone. Simple as that. Different rules for different clubs.
so if the rule book says they have to get approval in 10 days and haven't why haven't they been charged with breaking premier league rules? the biggest issue with all this inc the Everton situation etc seems to be a consistency of approach.

I think this transaction is fine. The properties are valued at that price £77 mil. The club's value will lower now they aren't on the books anymore. If they sold the property anywhere else they'd get £77 mil. They have transferred ownership rights at market value to a different company even if that company has the same owners .
