These sheep are amazingly calm for what's going on. I would not be so collected if my stylist had me in a headlock and had to position me by grabbing my nethers, but this one just lets you go for it. Great work!

I continue to be amazed each time I see how docile the sheep is as she goes through this intrusive procedure. I wonder if it is from learning/experience, knowing that she will feel better - that seems to assume a lot of intelligence - or if it is just bred into them. In any case, it’s one more reason why your care in getting it over quickly and without causing pain is so important. You give them no reason to fear it.

Looking at the electric clippers it is immediately apparent that you have to know what you are doing, have talent and love animals to trim an animal as well as you do. Otherwise those animals would be literally tortured. Thank you for the glimpse into your work.

Most of the time, the animals you shear seem relaxed. I believe it must be you way of working with them. I also wonder if they know what is happen and are actual happy to have that coat remove. That maybe it feels better when its gone.

I always wondered, what happens to these animals in the wild when there's nobody to shear them. Does this hair stop growing at some point or falls out? Or are there just none of these in the wild?

Sheep with this kind of wool don't have populations in the wild. Humans domesticated sheep to be very woolly and to need shearing (they aren't like this naturally) so we need to take care of them now. Every so often, a domesticated sheep gets away and doesn't get sheared for years, and that's very unhealthy for them, it can be life threatening. Look up "sheep domestication" for more details.

Sheep with this kind of wool don't have populations in the wild. Humans domesticated sheep to be very woolly and to need shearing (they aren't like this naturally) so we need to take care of them now. Every so often, a domesticated sheep gets away and doesn't get sheared for years, and that's very unhealthy for them, it can be life threatening. Look up "sheep domestication" for more details.
