Suffocating Warthog Invites Leopard Into Home
A massive warthog was forced to fight for its life when a leopard caught it right outside its burrow.

33-year-old Stephanie McClendon, sales manager for the Luxury Travel Company (Scott Dunn), captured this incredible battle for life. She shared her sightings and footage with LatestSightings.com.
“The day started with a sky full of thunderclouds; this led me to think that we wouldn’t be very lucky with sightings. However, despite the odds and the light rain, the drive started with some great sightings. So, with the cool weather around, we decided to look for some lions, as it was our best chance of seeing them on the move. The early morning drizzle made the perfect canvas for tracks, and in no time, our guide found the resident lion's tracks.”
“While tracking the lions, our guide Nic hit the brakes and came to a sudden stop. We all got super excited; we thought we had found the lions! But we were wrong; Nic reversed and, through his binoculars, showed us a leopard!”
“We immediately turned off the road and made our way towards the termite mound that we spotted the leopard on. Within just a few seconds of the leopard being in clear sight, there was a commotion, and it managed to catch a massive warthog by its throat! The leopard bit down as hard as it could, securing its deadly grip, but this was one of the biggest warthogs I had ever seen, and it refused to go down without a fight!”
“This all took place on the base of a huge termite mound, and you could clearly see the warthog had a burrow not even 2 meters from where it had been caught. During the chaos, the warthog somehow managed to keep a clear head, it knew that the best thing to do would be to get back home to its burrow. The leopard, on the other hand, was using all its power to keep the warthog from getting there.”
“The struggle was back and forth, and for a moment we thought that despite the warthog’s size, the hungry leopard would almost certainly tire it out at some point, but the strength of the warthog was incredible, and it amazingly managed to overpower the leopard all while being choked! It inched closer and closer to its burrow, pulling the leopard with it. Eventually, it managed to reach the entrance of its home, so close but not safe yet.”
“The leopard then spread its back legs and dug them into the sand, and with all its strength, it managed to slightly pull the warthog away. But this was too little too late for the leopard. The warthog was just too big and much too strong; It made a final tug and was able to get half its body into the hole.”
“The fight at this point was basically over, and the leopard knew that. It reluctantly let go, and the warthog scurried backward into the safety of its burrow. The defeated leopard paced up and down the termite mound until it just sat in disbelief at its loss.”

Great job recording half the video
😂😂👍
agree
You would almost think it was filmed backwards! Incredible!!!
Pumbaa isn’t going to go down without a fight, he doesn’t deserve to die!
the way the leopard was doing the splits 😂
Warthog: "If you're taking me down, I'm taking you with me!"
When you compare the strength of the warthog vs the leopard, remember that it's not just muscle, it's also pain tolerance. The warthog pulls the leopard with its throat and skin, the leopard with its jaws and claws. And the warthog still manages to pull the leopard, despite of the pain. That warthog gets more points from me.
Leopard had a terrible grip, just some skin on the side, not the throat. Kudos to the warthog, hopefully the bite didn't get infected.
Only if warthogs had canine teeths like dogs and hyenas because they are omnivores like dogs
You don’t feel pain when you fight for your life. Only after it’s over (if you are still alive).
You're taking it way too serious lol
@@gwjsbm Who would've thought that a discussion of life and death could be serious?
where is the continuation?!
The warthog invited the leopard in for a cup of tea. After a little bit of chitchat, the leopard called an Uber and went home.
Warthog was almost twice bigger than leopard that's why he was able to pull the leopard
Who the hell cuts video at such a moment???
A true battle of beasts! An impressive test of strength!
The tug of war was impressive. Surely the leopard will receive a reward, right?
Why didn't you record everything? Whp
Absolute unit of a warthog.
When you switch off video at that point everyone expects to see what really happened, my inner thinking says; it did not end well for that warthog. 😂❤
They have been doing this quite often now. No explanation as to why by the channel in pinned comments.
@@spp2000Weeping women???
Unfortunately, she stopped recording to take some photos but at that exact moment, the warthog pulled free of the leopard and escaped down the burrow.
@@Latestsightings cool. Thanks for the reply.
@@Latestsightings but why? Doesn't make any sense 🙄
Warthog in range: are we gonna have anymore problems cat?😡😡😡👿👿 Leopard: no no no no more problems I’ll let you go😬😬😬
😅😅
People think that cats have poor stamina. That's utter BS. I've seen tigresses hold on to warthogs with their jaws for 15+ minutes. Cats are poor long distance runners because they lack a ligament in their necks that allows for their head to be supported without exerting muscles. This means cats have to actively exert muscles to support their head with every step. This drains them of energy more so than with humans, dogs, bears, or horses while running.
tell me you never owned a cat without telling me you never owned a cat. LOL. they do have low stamina and hate to go toe to toe with something, even their own for more than a few seconds. then it's laying down, staring, etc and half a minute later again a short outburst.
Like coach once said no matter what keep them legs a movin😂😂 How on earth he managed to pull a leopard attached to his throat is one thing I’ll never understand.Strong vicious lil creatures those warthogs.
Brave leopard that warthog could easily harm it yet leopard had a technique. A leopardess can't challenge a warthog as big as this one.
Still leopardess have taken down much bigger adult female warthogs
It was a male leopard
@@Onetwothreefour. That's what I said. A leopardess can't challenge a big warthog as this one but a 70kg+ male leopards like this one can. The warthog is twice the size of that leopard lol.
This was a male leopard and it lost the fight.
@@LionDominator well, the way you structured your sentence, didn’t sound like that. Why are you bringing up a leopardess when a male leopard lost the fight? Anyhow. Cool video. A male leopard not getting his lunch.
Where’s the rest of the video?
this shows how strong a leopard is. This kind of prey is difficult to kill even for a lioness!
Leopards are beautiful creatures, but I think they got the short end of the stick when it comes to brains. They seem to enjoy hunting porcupines and other animals that can hurt them.
They take risk when they are extremely hungry and I've only seen young inexperienced leopard hunting porcupine experienced adult leopards avoid hunting porcupine
@@Bhusayy-jd3ld You're not wrong but do a YT search leopard vs porcupine. There are lots of results and even a BBC video. I think their problem is that once they're weaned from their mom, they usually become solitary animals that don't stay with siblings like lions, cheetah, and wild dogs. Each leopard has to learn from their own mistakes instead of possibly learning from the mistakes of a sibling.
They hunt anything those bastards even their own .
@@bigtvjunky9119 yeah young leopards don't have knowledge of porcupine
@@bigtvjunky9119 I searched it and saw 2 videos of young leopards hunting porcupines..I've seen a young leopard killing porcupine successfully in a documentary but leopard was stabbed by multiple porcupine quills
that leperd was like no your not going back home your going back home with me only dead .
This warthog, his hair and behaviour looks similar... Donald, is that yours? 😂😂😂
????
Warthog - "Would you like to come round for dinner and meet the family" leopard - "No, I already have my dinner plans sorted - will you please hold still"
And .. a male leopard. Got more than he bargained for. What a struggle
A young male.
did he told you his age or what? A single male leopard is obvously an adult.@@fillfinish7302
@@fillfinish7302dude no it wasn't a young male ffs. It's fully grown
Who records safari footage vertically. 🤯
Concur, but it doesn't affect this particular video.
They caught all the action. I think your brain is conditioned to flipping your phone sideways
Morons...
Are leopards smaller than I thought or are warthogs bigger than I thought lol
Warthogs can reach 300 pounds leopards don't pass 200 pounds. Most leopards are 140 pounds or less
Warthogs weigh upto 330lbs Leopard weigh upto 213lbs
Hakuna matata... what a wonderful phrase
Why did he regret it I’m lost
Me too.
The skin is to thick. The leopard cant choke its windpipe or sever an artery. So it comes down to stamina. And there is abig chance the warthog can cut the leopard with its tusk during the strugle. So the leopard might consider giving up and look for a less risky prey.
@@thijsjongI think warthog escaped in his burrow that's why leopard regretted
Why say regret?
According to description of video warthog escaped
The strength of warthogs is criminally underrated. Even lions have a tough time bringing these tough guys down. Edit: lionesses, not lions lol
Plot twist: Leopard escapes from pervert warthog trying to force her in his basement.
Warthog is very polite... he invite the Leopard to have dinner in his house...
Kkkkkkkk
Another vídeo with no end...😩
We wish we had the ending as well. Unfortunately she stopped recording to take some photos right at the moment that the warthog pulled free and made its escape.
Was so great to see the warthog escape but it has to be said these short clips that stop right before the climax or before the full story is told has to stop as they are fast becoming tedious!!!
No one ever told me that there was an animal version of Cribs!
How come these videos end so abruptly?
That’s a huge Pumba!!!
So how did it end?

I hate when they only show a little bit! Why can't they show the whole video until the end?!!

How big that warthog is
Horns are always so worthless 😂
But sure looks cool..
Beautiful video
Prey vs Predator= Who will win!
The end results? Sometimes it irritates to watch half videos
Boo for your clickbait title.
Why did you stop the camera it was just about to conclude
E a continuaçao?
Why you leaving the video in midway , pls make complet video
Feeling the same way about your sentences
Where’s the rest of the vid….
WHY would anyone record a video...ANY video, in vertical??? WHY?!?!?!?!?!?
This is not fair, where is the rest of the video?
Pumbaa is fighting for his life.
It would be nice to get a videographer who records the "WHOLE" encounter and not just the boring parts when it comes to such thrilling things not often seen in everyday life... It's just like the loss of any good journalism nowadays: it doesn't exist because we're too interested in likes and clicks, so we load up the titles for some awesome "clickbait" and give the audience half the story. EVERYTHING is out of context anymore because getting the full story behind ANYTHING isn't the priority anymore.
Did Leopard successfully killed the warthog?
That warthog trying to go for his shotgun back at the house.
It's disappointing how most of Latest Sightings videos don't give a conclusion.
The continue?
The video end without see the leopard finished its hunting
That leopard must be starving to risk injury trying to kill that huge warthog
Warthogs are more way powerful than bushpigs despite being smaller
The Leopard probably hasn’t gotten a bite in a long time and that probably explains why he was taking down the Warthhog down pretty hard.
Cadê a segunda parte 🆗️🇧🇷😁🐾🐆🐖
Is he OK? Find out on the next episode of Latest Sightings.

"Let's eat me together at my place "
The warthog is too big. I don't think the leopard can kill it
Waiting for the final episode
That’s the biggest warthog I’ve ever seen!
How did he regret it? Still had him by the end.
No, it escaped, read the description.
Got to get grip right.
Where's part 2?
Nothing makes since with the title looks like the leopard has him fine
wheres the rest!?!?
Donuz ki donuz.Ağlı olsaydı dırnaqları ilə bəbirin yumşaq qarnını dırnaqlayr,zədələyərək xilas ola bilərdi.O isə ağlını qaçmağ üçün geri dartınmağa sərf edir.
So, what happened?
I think this video is made in reverse.
Why the clickbait title? You are better than this, Latest Sightings!
That warhog can defend 1 on 1 with most viciou predators
Video is in reverse, people!
How did it end .we shall never know.
The warthog escaped, unfortunately she stopped filming to take some photos and in that exact moment it pulled free.
Read the description
The leopard was ripping the warthogs throat open.
The warthogs skin was too thick and eventually the warthog escaped according to the description
Yeah they probably saw the leopard run away but I guarantee you the warthog bled out in its den@@SecureHandle
What’s the end 😅
I wanted to see how it ended. 🤔
I'm guessing it didn't end well for piggy
Leopards for their size are (imo) the 2nd most impressive cats.
1st
Which would be number one?
@An_Actual_Rat (imo) Jaguar. Their only disadvantage compared to leopards is that they're less agile.
@@Bhusayy-jd3ld Jaguars
@@Monster-Beast-Fan Wrong. Jaguars have the strongest bite pound for pound but Leopards are the strongest pound for pound in the cat family.
It's by force not by invitation
Poor warthog😢
It escaped.
He thought him off, although he panicked to begin with once he was ready to fight he dragged him to the burrow and stabbed at him with tusks.
Good lord Does the video have to end to soon?
Batt was low again huh😋
And despite all, the warthog was on the menu of leopard’s fatty dinner..
Nonsense title
So lunch or no lunch?
"Get him!" Cringe. I don't understand why yall cut clip anyway?
Unfortunately, that's all the video there is. She stopped recording to take some photos and the warthog pulled free at that moment.
and? What happened?
Pumba hakuna matata no worry leopard sharap i eat
I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me
We’re obviously on 6th date, that’s it if I get through the door you’re gonna get it massive!
Come in for some tea
wait who is eating who and who won? I'm asking for a friend.
Sightings started to clickbait! 😢
Leopard wanted that chorizo sooo bad
They made amends later that day, and went down in the burrow for tea and weetbix.
Who win in the last?
The warthog managed to pull free just as the recording was stopped, unfortunately she decided to take some photos at that exact moment.
